Wonder how high the chances are that he stays at Spurs?

Sell Young, buy Lamela, sack Fergie, hire giggs and any other generic forum joke.

Some twat on SSN just mentioned that Sky Sources have mentioned that Spurs could Bale out of the Bale move.

They also have an advert for transfer deadline day. feckers.

The way this Transfer Window is going, SSN will have a field day on Deadline Day - it will be the most mental ever.

Maybe Levy really is prepared to take it to the last day of the window again. It's worked for him before.

I hope Manchester United have the sense of steering well clear of panic-buying day. Will be seething if we do a Berbatov.

We tracked Berbatov for a long time and tried to get him throughout the summer. It wasn't a panic buy, despite being done ridiculously late.

spurs' leak would kinda work if it weren't for the small fact that they want almost £90 million

The only club who would pay that is Madrid and the sugar daddy clubs - who have all already spunked their load this summer.

All reports suggest they have been open to the idea of cash plus player deals.

I agree that we should get our business now, but you have to admit that the Berbatov transfer was fun.

Actually, a person would have no soul if they didn't enjoy Berba Day.

A lad on the newbie FF said that Sky just reported that Bale will be back in training tomorrow? Did anyone else hear that?

That's what Sky is reporting. It would seem the scaffolding may have been a little premature.

The only problem with that is which players from top clubs would want to step down to Spurs? Most of Spurs' signings come from teams a level or two below them, rarely do they go out and sign a player from a level above.

In theory yes Madrid could offer Di Maria, Coentrao and Khedira + cash...but those players wouldn't want to play for Spurs nor would they want to be a small detail in their current club being able to acquire a new player because they're unwanted.

Player swap deals are so rare. And the last genuinely high profile one I remember was Eto'o plus cash for Zlatan. That was what...4 years ago?

Ronaldos had a U Turn and has decided to stay at Madrid the fecktard. Therefore Madrid can't raise the cash to buy Bale, what a wanker. :(

None of the above is true fyi.

Here we go: Manchester United have been backed in from 14/1 to 6/1 to sign Gareth Bale amidSky Sports sources understanding that Tottenham are considering bids from more than one club. Real Madrid remain the odds-on favourites. Bet here.

This is definitely Sky Sports dragging out one last story so they can shorten their odds on United and getting more people to put money on it. I really wouldn't waste any time at all thinking other clubs have bidded, this is all Real Madrid's now.

Agree with you red. Just waiting for them to report about another bid for Fabregas aswell..
