Gareth Bale bid imminent?

The transfer ban won't stop the tabloid press from conjuring up their "Bale swap for De Gea" stories.

Are you serious?
The upper level management of our club from a footballing perspective stinks.

IMO, the board...and Woodward do not have a clue... they will remain as long as the revenues keep coming in but if we keep this crap up in the pitch and eventually that will be felt in the financial department.

Of course im serious, I know business. I think that our board should fire him for footballing reasons, but only for footballing reasons. But as far as business go, our club is run by pro business people.

In business the right decision is often to give time to the person you hired because you have confidence he is the right choice. In football this rule should apply as well, but I think footballing reason is a very big factor.

Add to that our transfer policy and the fact we haven't replaced McClair with a new Head of Academy

He always does. He's always the first to hype up any bullshite rumour that gets printed or put on the interweb. He's like the ultimate fanboy.

This case in particular was very very poor.

From De Gea to the Copa Del Ray fiasco to sacking a coach that built the team around him and hearing Zidane say Ronaldo is his main man and will play in his favouted position...thats the last 5 months alone. Now they cant sign anyone to even catch Barca never mind compete with them. This will set them back years in the battle against Barcelona imo.
Thing is if there was no ban and Ronaldo left in the summer I couldnt see Bale leave but now..

What have we done that comes close to this level? Not sacking a manager you dont think should be in charge isnt even in the same sport never mind league that Madrids mess is in

Funny but you could take any of those examples and make us look even worse:
1. Regarding that de Gea incident, we signed about 5 goalkeepers, one of them is being embarrased by the club and our manager every week, and not one of them is apparently good to even play in cup games. We were also without a keeper for first few games because of that transfer saga.
2. That Cope del Rey incident isn't much worse than us losing against the likes of MK Dons or this year's debacle in the cup.
3. On the contrary, we are not sacking the manager who is obviously doing an awful job and is nowhere near attractive for attacking players, let alone players like Bale who don't really enjoy possession football.
4. Our club made Rooney star man, not just our manager, so even if we change the manager Rooney stays the main man who will play in his favourite position and have the team built around him.

I hate Real Madrid as much as the next guy, but you can only dream and lie yourself about Bale not enjoying playing for them and coming to us when we are probably in our worst form in club's modern PL history.

Not a chance are they comparable. They were thrown out of a competition and are now given a year transfer ban. A whole world away from having a dodgey 2nd choice keeper and having no cover for our forward position ffs.
That's a ridiculous comparison quite frankly

Someone should really be pushing for James Rodriguez. If Bale/Ronaldo are unsellable, James cant get into that team regularly and should be easy to convince I think.

One of Isco, Gotze or Griezemann needs to be the priority. Top players that look attainable. None of this Muller, Neymar, Bale bullshit. We do need a winger, but i'd rather we looked elsewhere.

No Real or Atletico players are attainable for the next 3 windows at least. No way they are going to sell without being able to register new players.

We missed our chance to buy him before he went to Spurs. He'll go alongside Gazza and Shearer as players who seemed born to play for us but never did.

Griezemann has a release clause i think, while Isco would need to push for a move. But with his lack of starts, if we came in for him he might bite. It's a damn sight more likely than going after one of their best players this season.

Real Madrid sacking a manager doesnt make them a mess. It's just Madrid being Madrid.

They sacked Jupp Heyneckes 8 DAYS after winning their first European cup in 32 years.

Sacked Capello twice. Both after title winning seasons.

They just adhere to their own rules, just like we have our own.

Players still flock the in their droves. Heck, we've had players leave our normality for Madrid's craziness. The attraction still persists.

Am I imagining it or does he get injured quite a lot? I seem to think he is injured after every 10-15 games.

Gone unnoticed but he's in fantastic goal scoring form at the moment.

Contractually-speaking, Spurs have first option on signing Bale should RM ever wish to sell him. This means that Bale can't be sold by RM without them first informing Spurs about any received bid and giving Spurs the opportunity to make a rival offer.

And of course Bale actually wanting the move?

Well yes, obviously.

But Bale's return would be a cool way to mark the opening of our new stadium :)

Lol. This is Daniel Levy we are talking about.

Yeah, but Poch is keen (and thus far Levy has wanted to keep him happy):

"If we have the option to sign him why not?" Pochettino said when asked about Bale. "He is a great player and he is the kind of player that can improve our squad. This is the type of profile that we sign."

 Since when!?! The last time I can recall Spurs signing a WC player already at his Peak was Klinsmann!

Seems like Bale really likes spurs...I mean, Spurs had to get this written into the agreement during the transfer,
In section 16 of the document, Real also declared that they would ensure Bale would not make any negative or derogatory comments about Spurs, the club's chairman Daniel Levy or any of its staff.
