Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

It'll be interesting to see how the story with the Night's Watch and Locke works out when he's sworn the oath.

Oh yeah cheers guys, I remember now. fecking joffrey.
It was actually Cersei. Robert obviously couldn't punish Arya so Cersei wanted the beast to be killed. Still Robert said since Arya's wolf had ran away, there's nothing that can be done but then Cersei asked him to order the execution of Sansa's wolf, Lady.

I'm confused by the story of the white walkers. On one hand they are said to have terrorized the Westeros during the last winter, but then they are easily killed with fire.

I can't fecking stand Sanza Stark. She is such a useless piece of shit character and awful actor. I thought she would have done the poisoning and therefore have some use in the storyline but no, she carries on being a useless piece of shit.

Also, no mention of the rape from Jamie? I dont understand why they did that scene to be honest. It seems like he is on a mission of redemption and that rape was so out of character.

That's the point. He's a decent bloke who wants to keep his oaths and be nice to others but he has one weakness - his unhealthy love/obsession with his sister, which makes him do some ugly stuff. He would be one-dimensional without it and they're trying not to include one-dimensional characters in this show.

Are they? I think that the White Walkers and the zombies that can be killed by fire (the one in the Castle Black and the wildlings in the first episode) are a different species. The White Walkers are superior to them and that's why they only want babies - they probably can turn a baby into the White Walker but the grown man can only became a regular frozen zombie.

The only Walker that was killed in this show so far was killed by Sam using Tapatalk dragon glass blade - so we don't know if the fire would work on them.

Maybe I'm wrong though.

here's a good wiki (based purely on TV show events so far) about them and the differences with Wights:

EDIT: Actually removed as it does mention the .. b ... thingies further down.

Ahh fair enough. I just wish his actions would have had some repercussion, at least when he talks with Cersei...

Don't think Locke is the type of person who cares much for oaths. I'm surprised no one recognises him in that part of the world, given how close he is to Bolton.

As mentioned previously though, the director didn't mean it to come across as rape. It was badly executed but I think Cersei was accepting of it, but perhaps didnt want to do it by her dead son.

Clearly though she has become even more bitter than usual, and the "love" between them has faded quite drastically. To me even Jaime is going off her, I think they will end up being enemies.

He is there to infiltrate the North and take down the starks. When the time comes he is going to backstab Jon Snow for sure. Hopefully he will not let down his guard too much though.

.

well there is still a lot of time for characters to develop - it would be quite the transformation if she just suddenly changed into a valerian sword wielding warrior chopping off dragons heads and torturing people... but given the exposure to cerci, the tyrells and littlefinger I could see her overtime developing into quite a calculating person - given how young she is supposed to be then one would expect this to take a bit of time but of course one thing the format of the show allows is for longer story arcs and time for people to develop

I dont get it

In the book did nobody give a shit about the red wedding and ned getting executed?

I assume they did, but the book readers I knew were smug as shit when those 2 things happened and I didn't know. All of yesterday they were in a state of craze about the ending but I didn't really give a crap and thought it was just cool that they showed whitewalkers again.

If you remember what Tyrion said when talking to Jaime, 'Sansa is no murderer...yet.' Can see her changing.

By the way, the gang who has Bran, are they just rogue Crows? Or have I missed something?

They're the guys that killed Jeor Mormont and Craster last season. Although, before they showed what was going on, I thought the fatter one was running things.

They're the Crows that killed the Crow leader from last season. Rather than fleeing back to the wall they decided to take over instead.

Only just realized the guy killing the champion wasn't a new characther but Daario being recast...

Except you need to seperate how the scene came off (it was done very poorly to say the least) with what the intentions of the scene as written by the writers and directed by the director were. If they did not intend it to come off as a rape then they will probably not have the characters thinking it was rape.

I think this post sums up how over the top and exaggerated the opinions on this show (and most other things) are here on the Caf. Jesus christ, calm down.

From the very first season, Sansa was portrayed as a fragile, naive but with highest royal etiquette type girl and I just don't see what's wrong with her for someone who endured so much Joffrey trauma. She's always late to catch up with all events, wars and conspiracies and it looks realistic to her sensible nature and state of shock of her entire family being slaughtered by people she shared the same castle with.

Actress who play her is actually so much different than her GoT character and is actually funny as feck. Decent chick and actress with face proper to play royal damsel. That's all.

Littlefinger's accent is getting worse as the episodes go on. He really is beginning to sound like an irish pirate on crack.

 ! ...plus his appearance always reminding me of Gary Oldman in 5th Element.

I hate it when characters are recast but last least he is a much better actor.
