Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Surely the unsullied would have taken any gold spoils

Well, the Lannisters have no gold left. That was information we got a long time ago by Tywin. They owned lots of gold mines which is where they got their wealth from and the gold mine went dry. The only real power they had left was being on the thrown. Whether that gets translated to this Season is a different matter.

As for the Unsullied, they had no boats left, the Iron fleet sank them all. We have no idea how they got to Kings Landing to be at the meeting, we can only assume they marched across Westeros.

Well it clearly wasn't planned. It was an emotional spur of the moment reaction. They've clarified it.

And you're just making stuff up now, and pretending Dany was this complete idiot all along who couldn't tell black and white apart without her advisors. And who are these famed advisors? Melsomething and dourface? Incredibly high quality of advisors right there. And who are needed to tell her to not to kill babies.
And that was the only explanation that would make sense from their POV. Everything is done on a emotional spur

Re Dany

Girl: “She won’t eat.”

Varys: “We’ll try again at supper.”

Girl: “I think they’re watching me.”

Varys: “Who?”

Girl: “Her soldiers.”

Varys: “Of course they are. That’s their job. What have I told you, Martha?”

Girl: “The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward.”

Varys: “Go on. They’ll be missing you in the kitchen.”

Varys was trying to poison her, I wonder will it still happen.

I hadn't forgotten that bit and yes it may become true.
It would be kind of poetic if a queen who had murdered thousands of children was in turn killed by a child.

You guys talking of poison has just made me think of something...

They've brought up Drogon needing to be fed several times this season. They've tried poisoning Daenerys... they could just poison Drogons food and try and kill the dragon that way? I really hope not. My word would that piss me off.

"Now I don't know whether to stay up or not."

How hard is it just to say nothing about leaks? Implied disappointment is just fecking annoying

Are you surprised this happened ? Until the end / finale. It had to happen

Does Bronn take his make-up off when he kills Tyrion to make himself ugly thus showing he means it?

Asking for a concerned friend.

Oh you wanna talk about unrealistic beauty standards?

It was a nice subtle moment. I wondered if he took the rings off because that's where the poison is stored?

No, but if he falls into depression, doesn't sleep or eat, then he needs to keep tarting up otherwise he's sexist.

Just realized that Jon's got the same variety of dialogue in Season 8 as Hodor does in Season's 1-6.

Has anything about the entire story of the show been impacted by Bran?

If his character was removed completely would anything have happened differently as a consequence?

Ice king wouldn't have been after him, Dany wouldn't have lost a dragon, Dany would have burnt down KL twice as fast?

Wasn't him being pushed out of the window by Jamie a major catalyst for pretty much everything?
