Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

The potential late entrants include the red witch lady and Darios.

Can the Red Witch lady not revive people in the crypt to fight for them? Not sure how this magic thing works so it's probably too far fetched to fathom.

I think in the Brotherhood scenes they talked about how the time was of the essence, not sure though. But the Priest was in quite a rash trying to resurrect the eyepatch guy. Jon was dead for quite a while, but still, he was pretty much in perfect condition thanks to the cold. "The dead" in the crypt are just a bunch of bones — including Ned Stark, I believe that there was a talk of giving his bones back to his family.

No what is strange is you clearly ignoring facts and making things up to fit your strange theory.

If the battle turns on the fact that they forgot to prepare for the Night King having a Dragon then it will be the stupidest thing to ever happen on TV.
I assume they re not showing that huge crossbow pointing at the dragon s skull for no reason in the intro.

I thought this series the episodes were meant to be 90 mins long? So far they are the standard hour long.

They kick on in length from here on in:

episode 1 (April 14): 54 minutes
episode 2 (April 21): 58 minutes
episode 3 (April 28): 1 hour, 22 minutes
episode 4 (May 5): 1 hour, 18 minutes
episode 5 (May 12): 1 hour, 20 minutes
episode 6 (May 19): 1 hour, 20 minutes

except no one acted like that. some people were uncomfortable but no one ever criticized the people who weren't

I find it really really odd that people are telling me that i'm strange for being uncomfortable at seeing someone who i view as a child take her clothes off.

People being a bit creeped out by Margaery/Tommen was definitely a thing. Kid looked about 13.

You were meant to feel uncomfortable by Sansa being raped .. that's the whole point, it's a horrible brutal scene. Everyone understood it was uncomfortable and horrible, I don't think anyone was enjoying it.

The reason people felt uncomfortable by the Arya sex scene is because we've watched her grow up on screen, so we view her as a child. She still has a serious babyface going on and looks about 15/16 which means that people find it tough to see her in a different kind of light. I don't get why that's so confusing to people, it makes perfect sense.

Yup

Aye, it's not odd at all to be weirded out by it, I'm sure a lot of people literally still think she is a kid. Hell, even the sex eyes she was throwing at yer man earlier in the episode seemed weird.

It would probably be unfair to actually criticise the show for including that scene though given that both the character & actor are adults now and the scene made sense for the character. It would be maybe slightly patronising towards both the actor & character to still treat them like kids. Plus in fairness it was by GOT standards a relatively tasteful scene.

Maisie Williams looks like she's around 11 years old. How the feck is anyone over 11 not weirded out by that scene. Imagine being the dude playing Gendry.

Doubt anyone really criticises the show for it though? She's 22, who cares.

Also where is the 'Arya is 18' thing actually from? The Game of Thrones wiki's reference for it states that she said she was 11 at the start of season 1, but the assumption that she's 18 seems to be based on 1 year per season which is demonstrably not the case.

Has she said she's 18 this season?

What's creepy is the amount of focus on the Arya sex scene by people pretending to treat a fictional character like a little sister. You're all worse than than the teenage girls who decide they hate their favourite pop singer's girlfriend.

There needs to be a priest/priestess there to say the floobadyfloop in other to resurrect them.
Is right, remember the hound said to Beric (jokingly) that Thoros wasn't around any more to resurrect him if he threw him over the wall. It's Beric's last stand too.

That is the worst comparison to anything I have ever heard in my life.

Then you need to listen more.

Maisie Willaims ain't my cup of tea, but I'm not going to pretend that a brief side-on glimpse of a half naked 22 year old makes me clutch my pearls. I'm sorry if you're upset your waifu has been besmirched.

The only weird ones in here are people like you who think it's unacceptable for people to find that scene uncomfortable to watch and actively call them out on it.

And yeah, it was an awful comparison. Like, it wasn't even an analogy or anything, just pure random irrelevance.

Of course it's fecking weird to be make possessive posts on the internet about 22 year old you've never bloody met.

In completely honesty, I think it says quite a lot that this seems to be the only possible way you can rationalise people feeling uncomfortable with that scene.

I have time, hit me with your armchair psychology.

Nobody is doing that though.

I do find it hilarious that people like you seem to be pissed off with people finding the scene uncomfortable even though those who find it uncomfortable have never said they have an issue with those who don't. Weirdo.

I find the hills people choose to die on very, very strange.

Some people found it uncomfortable to watch the Arya scene. As far as I can tell, not one person has said there is anything wrong with others not finding it uncomfortable so I don't see what the issue is? Why are you trying so hard to convince everyone they should feel like you do?

If you're insulting me I hope you never get near Joe Dempsie, poor fella wouldn't be safe.

This is getting very strange now.

Can we get back to dragons and who is going to get killed?

This is getting very strange now.

Can we get back to dragons and who is going to get killed?

On that topic, I don't understand the confusion about the night king not leading a solo charge with his dragon ahead of his slow-marching army. Surely he wouldn't risk his one dragon unnecessarily by rushing in solo? Just hang back, let your undead army march in and increase its numbers even more. He's waited many many years, what's a few more days now?

I have time, hit me with your armchair psychology.

Well let's be clear, personally I wasn't that fussed about it. We've seen worse in GoT and my only issue is the ambiguity over how old Arya is actually supposed to be in this season.

But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out why people might be uncomfortable with it and Squishy articulated it pretty well. You've convinced yourself that the only possible reason people might be uncomfortable is because of some unspoken wish to feck Maisie Williams (an argument which completely falls down considering the outright drooling over most of the sex scenes in GoT involving actresses people do fancy) and are unwilling to accept that maybe that doesn't factor in to peoples opinions as strongly as it might for you.

There's no armchair psychology there, so sorry to disappoint, just a failure on your part to recognise that people can form different opinions for different reasons.

The Night King wants to kill Bran, but does he only want to kill Bran? Surely he's not arsed taking over Kings Landing and ruling the Iron Throne in a world where everyone is dead?

I feel like his motive is fully based around Bran. Maybe killing Bran will mean that all WW's cease to exist (Bran allegedly created the King didn't he? So killing Bran would change the course of History and mean he never existed?) so they can pass over peacefully, who the feck knows. I only see the WW's going as far as Kings Landing if Bran retreats down there.

Exactly - the show can do whatever the feck it wants - and character wise it makes sense that she'd want to get her rocks off. Just 'cos I found it unnecessary out by it, doesn't mean it shouldn't happen. Hell I basically find any scene that doesn't involve Doctor Onion Man to be unnecessary at this point anyway to be fair.

I'm not mentally prepared for his potential impending doom next week :(

I think the only thing that matters is:

Was it vanilla or vinegar

So given the last ep, it seems like the NK just wants to wipe out all humans / make them his army etc. What happens after? who knows.
But get rid off them.

Also it wasnt Bran that made the king, it was the children of the forest.

So which of the main characters killed next week will be a prominent wight?
