Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

i'm just concerned that if it's six episodes we won't get to see many tits.

i mean we only got one (albeit glorious) pair last season which is shameful by GoT standards. And clearly the best seasons have the most tits, i.e. 1 and 4.

There are websites for that.

WWs will surely be defeated by Jon beating the Night King when it looks like there is no hope, and they will all just crumble to ice.

Yeah..... We know that's exactly what will happen. It just feels so convenient and an 'easy' way to get rid of them.

The only thing I hope is we get a reason as to WHY they decided to invade after all this time

I feel the exact opposite in that I find that the white walkers are the most boring of the sides left. I mean, they are basically just emotionless zombies. The battle between the good guys and the Lannisters is far more interesting for me. Hopefully the dragon will est all of the ww’s in episode 1 so the rest of the show can focus on what really matters, Danaerys’ tits and the battle between people.

The politics aspect is great I agree but for me, feck them. Non of the houses are actually likeable/have annoying characters. The WW just feel neutral, yeah I know they are going around killing people but at least they bring them back in some form....

Plus I feel like the whole "Winter is coming" stuff feels it's all about the WW, so to get rid of them early feels completely pointless, also the show has failed to explain why they have decided now to actually make a march down south after centuries. That to me is the bigger mystery.

The politics stuff will never end, no matter who is on the throne. Feels like a "same shit, different day" thing

Yup don’t know how they get there, but surely this is the most likely outcome. Second most likely being Jon saves the day while sacrificing his own life.

If we don't get a reason as to WHY they have decided to attack after all these years then, as much as I love them, their existence in the show was absolutely pointless

I think it’s got something to do with those fairies, no? Either that or global warming.

All these years? Pretty sure they only came back just before the start of the show?

I think Bran and the Night King are linked some how. Like Bran might end up defeating him somehow but sacrifice himself in the process.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict that the White Walkers are not the antagonists and that they have a perfectly plausible reason for wanting retribution for something that was done to them.

that's one of the biggest accepted theories out there so it's hardly going out on a limb :)

plus we already saw that it was the children of the forest who created them by killing men in order to use them as their army, so that's a pretty good reason in itself.

Great trailer. I'm going to guess a timeline.

Jon and Dany are going to stop at Winter Town to have a quickie around the back of the stables. Jaime will come around the corner holding a pair of crutches tied with a little bow, along with an "I'm Sowwy For Pushing You Out of a Window" card. After a few awkward glances the two will fight to the death, killing each other. Dany will becoming depressed and immediately have Drogon burn her alive.

Sansa will then take a bath, fully in the nip. This will account for approximately five hours worth of footage. After she dries up and gets dressed she will walk outside to find only Jorah alive. He will tell Sansa that everyone died from the cold, including the Night King, because nobody got the flu vaccine when they were children. Then he'll cough and die.

Sansa will sigh, and then return for another bath. Thus setting up the surprise new season 9 of Game of Thrones called Sansa in a Bath for 10 Episodes.

I already made that joke yesterday you loser.

Heres my timeline prediction

Episode 1 - holy feck I wasn't expecting that to happen!!
Episode 2 - yawn, boring episode.
Episode 3 - why is she taking so dang long to do anything.
Episode 4 - omfg setup for some huge shit to go down!
Episode 5 - huge shit went down, epic.
Episode 6 - noooo, it's over.

I think it’s got something to do with those fairies, no? Either that or global warming.

The Children of the Forrest? They created them to protect the Children from humans but then lost control of them I thought?

All these years? Pretty sure they only came back just before the start of the show?

They came back just before but they were "dormant" for hundreds of years or whatever. They were believed to be myth by the time the show started and the wall was considered just a prison sentence, not something actually useful. So why, after all this time, did they decide to come and attack.

If we don't get why, one of the biggest underlying story/characters/army are moving forward then what's the fecking point?

At the risk of being called a cnut I'm going to throw this out there like a piece of shit being hurled at a wall, and judging by the trailer;

Arya is running from someone who's died and just been turned, and she can't bring herself to kill them because she cares for them. So I'm going to go full on "holy shit, surprise" and say that it's Jon.

Now that i am fully caught up with the books, what is the deal with book readers vs show only people now? Are we still keeping things separate?

My prediction is that Branflake will do some next level mind control shit and everyone will argue about time paradoxes all season.

Well if we're all throwing time lines out there here's mine

Some questions for those who have seen it all. I've just forgotten about these:

- Where is The Hound now? and what was he set out to do again? Seemed a bit lost
- Same question for Bronn. Did he just leave Jaime?
- Why did Varys ever switch sides in the first place? It's all a blurr. And how did Danny accept him after all that? Seriously messy memory but I recall Tyrion persuading? I rewatched a Youtube clip of him and Tyrion guiding the rest in Marine, but I forgot how Varys ended up there in the first place.
- Do we go in assuming they have the dragon glass swords all set up? I remember them finding it but that's it.
- Where is Gendry now again?
- What's happening with Grey Worm? Is he royally fecked on Casterly Rock?

- Last saw the Hound (from memory) in the scenes down South when they showed the White Walker at Kings Landing. He would have returned with the rest, therefore he's on the boat with everyone else sailing to Winterfell.
- Bronn was left in Kings Landing. Jaime went by himself up North.
- Varys never did switch sides, he was always helping Daenerys from the very first Season. Daenerys didn't accept him precisely, she's still deeply suspicious of him but I believe there was a speech at one point by Tyrion to defend him (and he defended himself).
- Dragon Glass was mined and sent to Winterfell, that was setup before the expedition North I think. So yeah, we can expect a lot of Dragon Glass weaponry.
- Gendry is up North, not exactly sure where he's at as he was the first one back from the Expedition and I don't think anyone saw him after that.
- Grey Worm escaped from Casterly Rock, he was present when the White Walker was shown at Kings Landing.

Winterfell:
Arya Stark
Bran Stark
Sansa Stark

Jamie Lannister
Sam and Gilly

Sailing to White Harbour:

Unknown:
Melisandre
Meera Reed (assume at her home which is south of Winterfell)
Gendry Baratheon (assume Winterfell)
Eddison Tollett (Nights Watch Commander, can only assume he is at Castle Black).

Wicked, cheers.

Sort of annoyed it's only one season or half a season or whatever it may be.

I want more GOT damnit.

I've updated the response btw. Got a list of characters and where they all are, think I have them all right.

Ah just caught it - cheers. Feck there's a lot of things to tie up this season.

Obviously they're gonna kill off a load of characters this season but I honestly find it hard to predict who will remain alive at the very end. I always thought Sansa, Tyrion and Sam were good bets to survive. The rest? Not sure.

Personally I can't see that happening.

Could be a dream sequence?

Wasn't Jorah spying on Dany for Varys and that's how he knew that Varys' plan to kill Dany by selling poisoned wine?

Possibly. There's some people convinced that, during the chase sequence, there's one shot in particular that looks like a pursuer has been blurred out. Still could be a dream sequence though.

But he was also responsible for Illyrio setting up Daenerys with Khal Drogo and gifting the eggs to her. Illyrio and Varys are good friends, we find that out when Arya stumbles on them conspiring about Ned Stark in the basement of Kings Landing.

So what you are saying is D & D fecked up another storyline? Yeah I'd agree with that :D

So have been told that there's a plot leak video avaliable on YT. Apparently the leaker got it right last season too.

So what do we do? Blanket bans on theories? I'm not sure what can be done here.
