Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

After actively avoiding the 1 idiot who spoiled Ned's death to me as I started the show while season 3 was ending.. He seems to have spoiled something today morning again.. Stupid fecker..

Anyway I would advise people to avoid reading an interview from a costume designer of the show..

Ned will die????

SPOILER that shit!

Lol

I only have 6 episodes left now and I'm fully caught up...

I've just got to the bit where Dany burnt down the Dothraki place, and stood there with her tits out...

Watching some of the scenes from s2 (normally the one on one conversations) are so fantastic.
Tywin and Arya being some of the best ones.
Tyrion and Cersei good too.
Jamie when he was captured and caged speaking to the lesser Lannister who used to be his squire was intriguing too.
And of course Jon and Ygritte.

Some great fascinating stuff. As has been pointed out in the thread, you wont get that in the latter seasons (and tbh, yyou dont need it) but it was great for the early parts to let us know what the characters are like as well as giving us a background to the 7 kingdoms and beyond.

Another interaction that wasn't in the books!

Absolutely love this scene from S3. Nothing is said but its just the reactions which is brilliant.

Agree, there are moments in the show not in books that are so good and can be said to be better.

Tywin and Arya ~ so good, powerful performances from both actors.
Oberyn and the Mountain.
Arya and the Hound.
Bronn and Tyrion.
Bronn and Jaime.
Jorah Mormont's persona.
Dario's appearances.
etc

I think GRRM made some of those changes to the story to make it better compare to the books.

So Brienne in end of s2 and start of s3 is so badass. Especially the way she takes down Jamie when he tries to escape (before getting his hand taken off).

Also theres this thing with the white walkers creating some sort of shape or symbol or pattern after killing. Will try google search it. Was this explained or is there some significance cos im sure I saw it again in a later season. (Explained in the show I mean).

edit:

From s3:
latest

From s1 ep1

No leaks this year then? Was it season 5 or season 6 that had the first four episodes leaked online before the first one even aired?

Season 5 had the first 4 episodes leaked I think.

So, for certain reasons I have to get hold of GoT this time around legally. Since I don't have Sky what's my best method for doing that? I've had a look at NowTV and was considering going for that since there's an app on the PS4 for it, but I thought I'd ask you chaps before I pull the trigger there and see if there's any better ideas.

Sky has a dirt cheap offer running in Germany right now. Two months of Sky Entertainment online for just 1€ each. Meaning: Watch GoT 7 for just about 1.50€.

I have lost all faith in the makers of the series over the course of S5 and S6, but for that money I'll suffer through it anyways. ;)

The shorter series means more time spent on plot, less on poor character development, I think this season will be really good.

Yeah, all the main characters are fairly well flushed out at this point bar Euron, and it seems pretty clear what he's all about.

Time for nothing battles and political intrigue! And sex. Maybe some hot lesbian action too. That's always a winner.

It's been a while since the gratuitous lesbians-in-a-brothel scenes. There used to be tits around every corner at King's Landing, but the PC brigade has gotten into the writer's minds!

Yara will provide it. And maybe the Sandsnakes too.

Tonight. So excited.

I have read all books (a long time ago), but since the show has now caught up, I think I can post here now?

The trailers gave me goosebumps. Hell, the Light of the Seven gives me goosebumps.

Feck it, going stay up and watch it. If dont ill just be tossing and turning thinking about it.

Coffee should help me come the morn'

No book talk, ffs. Not even tangentially.

For reasons

Legally then NowTV will probably be your best bet I reckon. The entertainment package is only about 7 quid a month and you can watch all of Geordie Shore too. Win win.

Nice, nice. I'll just do that then :)

Yeah, had some news back actually and it's good! Got to go through the vetting process but if that's fine i'm golden.
