Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Which, again, was a silly plot contrivance. Who were the 20 good men? Where did Ramsay get them from? Did they support the Boltons, or did they have to be swayed into supporting them? Did any defect? None of this was actually explained at all...because it was just used as an excuse for Ramsay to beat a far superior tactician.
20 local bannermen. It's not the biggest leap in logic, in fairness.

I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of a magic xylophone or something?

Last season wasnt the strongest, but it had one of my fav ever GoT episodes

Got to agree with @Cheesy, that stuff about Ramsay and his men sabotaging Stannis was woeful writing. It's the sort of typical tv nonsense you wouldn't see in the earlier seasons. Another terrible part of season 5 was Sansa's storyline, particularly that burning-candle-in-a-tower-window scene. Brienne was constantly watching that window but turns away just moments before Sansa finally puts up the candle. Really?

It did have that awesome Hardhome episode but in general the quality dropped alarmingly in season 5.

I can't recall the details, but I remember being intensely annoyed by Littlefinger(mind you he's gotten on my last nerve from the very start) and his ridiculous Sansa related plot.

Woo....
I can't quite remember but is the first episode usually great on GoT ?

And the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th.

I think the first episode is mainly the sweet relief of it being back on our screens. There's usually a bit of set-up to remind everyone of where they left things and introducing new characters. Still going to be great though.

This can't start soon enough, ran out or up to speed with everything I've watched. Walking dead finished, BCS finished, Black Sails finished, Vikings finished. Hurry up ffs!

Warning to everyone browsing Reddit and stuff like that as there have been leaked photos for this season so be wary!

Can one of you nerds leak the episode ??
I've got to go to work the next day and won't be able to see it before I return, so this thread is off limits to me till then.

The last season just ended few week ago. Back in October or whenever it starts again.

I see. I stopped watching last season. I just have too much to watch. If it had completely finished I would probably have downloaded the last season. Still read the comics though.

Cannot wait for this. Have managed to avoid trailers, promo pics & the like.... Hope some cnut doesn't spoil anything now.

I'm hoping this will be the best yet. Think the Stark kids will have a big impact this year.

Season 5 felt like one huge set up for this season, genuinely the most excited I've ever been over a TV show!

The first episode will be dull, or not live up to the hype at least. It'll just be a reminder of what happened and a set up for the later episodes, nothing big will happen I think

Anyone else disliking the Arya story arc? Liked her so much better roaming around the countryside with the Hound.
When I was rewatching season 5, I skipped pretty much all of her scenes. Was my favourite character for the first four seasons.
