Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

I explained the same thing to someone last night.
Then I thought about it some more. A 700ft wall, several hundred miles long is a ridiculous acomplishment. It would probably have been easier to dig an enormous trench from coast to coast, flood the flat lands and break the whole north off (above where the wall is now) onto a separate island!

I imagine the winter would be so cold even salt water would freeze in the North?

Then what's the point in the wall at all? It stretches from coast to coast. The White Walkers could just as easily walk around it like the Germans did with the Maginot line.

Just rewatching the Ayra scene and I heard oyster card this time, which made me chuckle, won't be able to un hear that one.

Don't see how people can hear vanilla though. Now I know what it feels like to be on team blackandblue.

Are you crazy...I just watched it he clearly says vinegar. As clear as day.

I think it would make a good one of those pop culture t-shirts though. A picture of an oyster and the quote "I'll have four, with vanilla".

I don't think it was widely know that he was a Targaeryan. Also, he didn't have the blood of a true king, since the succession to the throne would have been Dany's brother and then Dany herself.

Arya absolutely sloshed those oysters with vinegar, he might have died if it was vanilla, no need for poison.

A lot of people who misheard it probably thought Vanilla is a normal thing to eat with Oysters. I heard Vanilla and thought it sounded interesting, tasty even

Those last 20 minutes were spectacular. I can't remember many better episodes of the show, been waiting several seasons for it. It's a shame tho that they probably spent too much energy on those last 20 minutes, leaving the rest of the season an uninspiring piddling snoozefest.

I'd disagree. He was the only Targerian on Westeros and brother of the mad king.

The use of sound was absolutely fantastic.

The clang when Jon's sword doesn't shattered followed by a hollow silence broken by Jon's roar as he shatters the Walker.

And then the end, when the Walker raises the bodies. A deathly silence if I've ever heard one.

Kit Harrington's acting has improved immeasurably. The look of anguish and horror on his face watching men and women getting butchered while he was watching from the boat was very convincing to say the least.

As good as Peter Dinklage's look when he saw the dragon?

 There's an oyster bar in the city centre. I might go there and ask for some oysters with vanilla just to see their reactions.

So, turns out if enough people pay attention to something, it becomes interesting. There's like 3 somewhat amusing comments about the oysters in this thread and 100 more that are exactly the same.

Agree, he's improved a lot this season. Might be because his character has taken more of a leadership role though, gives him more to work with?

Didn't think it was just those last 20min though, the rest of the episode was better than the rest of this season too. The Tyrion/Danaerys pair up probably helped make both their plotlines more interesting.

The 3 were mine right?

Speaking as someone who's never eaten raw oysters before, vinegar sounds just as weird as vanilla to me. I thought he said vanilla and didn't think anything of it...

This show does battle scenes better than any I've seen before. It's just a shame every episode can't be that good.

I think a lot ofseafood is often eaten with something with a bit of tang, lemon, lime, vinegar. In the same way people have muscles i think. Although, I ain't a fish kinda guy.

He clearly says, "Give me four. You're ma nigga"
Which I thought was a bit too "street" for an insurance salesman.
Nope, it was "Give me Rumenigga". Obviously a Bravossi fantasy draft is going on off screen.

Discussing the important things.
Was it rape or was it not?
Was it vinegar or Vanilla?
Who choreographed the snakes fight?
What happened to Gendry?
Will we ever find out what happened to Benjen?

:)

Did you hear Vanilla?

I think I'm more willing to accept that this is all some hoax that everyone involved has joined in on out of an unspoken recognition of an elaborate world wide prank rather than believe a single person heard the word vanilla.
