Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Next episode should be fantastic. It should be the fight at King's Landing as well as at Castle Black.

I think it just makes sense to thread ban the bookies from here full stop.

Ffs even people trying to do the right thing screw up. Maybe the thread titles need changing

Yet another thread title change?

Why not move one of the threads to a different forum? You know - like moving the book thread to the Generals or something instead of having multiple threads competing in this very forum 'cos of the quick posts in each of these threads?

Edit:

Besides, can someone ban themselves from a thread? (ahem..cough...cough...Solius...cough..cough)

It's because I flick back and forth between the two sometimes so I forget which one I'm in. Don't worry though it was just based on when something will happen based on episode titles. Deleted is quickly and won't happen again.

I don't doubt your good intentions, just trying to think of ways to avoid future mistakes.

Both would still be under the General tab on the main page.

Besides, how hard it is to just pay attention a little?

Now we know something will happen

I think the title thread of the book thread should be changed to something completely not GoT related like "One Direction"... that way, there will never be any confusion, as no one will enter a thread entitled One Direction... and those that do, deserve what's coming to them.

I agree with this. And name this thread bieber's reality show. Problem solved.

Or have 'BOOK THREAD' and 'TV SHOW THREAD' as the first words in the thread title. No excuses for cocking up when they're the first words you should see before coming in.

If you really want to enjoy the show and be surprised, best is to avoid this thread altogether. Even discussing or reading legit views lets you expand your own horizon of possibilities and often you can anticipate or sometimes guess outcomes. Saying this though, I like the post episode dissection myself.

Sansa is the only innocent one left on the show. She's a genuinely good character who always carries herself impeccably, mostly due to the fact she's a bit of a wet blanket and doesn't know how to bark back.

...True. She's a bit of a fairytale character at the moment.

Wtf? She's a bitch... have you forgotten what she was like in Season 1. Every time something fcuked up happens to her I chuckle to myself and think 'be careful what you wish for' ... ok, well not every time, but nearly every time.

Out of interest how old are you?

How is Sansa a bitch? I suppose if you ignored every single piece of context some(very few) of her actions could be seen as nasty, but, well, context.

How does my age have relevance here? If you re-watch season 1 and still stand by your post I'll have to assume you're crushing on her and oblivious to her behaviour during her pursuit to become queen.

Well, she sold out her Sister and sided with Joff against her family... off the top of my head. Sansa was actually quite hated, you guys are responding as if I said something outlandish

I thought we were allowed to speculate only within the spoilers

EDIT:

But then wouldn't the whole thread be spoilered with only a few 'review' kinda posts?

I would think if its just the show watchers speculating the shite out of the show, we should be fine with speculating without the spoiler tags...

Mods?
All speculation in spoilers afaik

As I said, context. It would be massively stupid of Sansa to piss off the Baratheons and Lannisters by stopping a Royal wedding over a bloody wolf and a baker's boy. She did the only thing she could and sided with Joffrey, and even then she didn't actually side with him, just said she couldn't tell what happened.

And a 13 year old girl wanting to be Queen does not a bitch make.

She wasn't a bitch in the first season, more of a gullible annoying teenager.
She was a whiny entitled bitch mate, my opinion of course....she's not so bad now but let's not rewrite GoT history. A lot of people hated her...

Okay, I agree somewhat actually, Just didn't think she was ever the bitch kind who is the plotting conniving type. She was as you mentioned entitled and spoilt. Guess age and suffering has changed her outlook and has become much more acceptable.

You realise that Sansa is 13 in the first season right? She's hopelessly naive and obviously a tad annoying due mainly to the fact that everyone is annoying at 13. She pays a awfully high price for her naivety so I'd hardly call her a bitch or say she had it coming.

Your following comment just backs up my theory.

The reason I don't view her as a "bad" character and a "bitch" is because I'm an adult and I can view her behavior as that of an innocent hormonal teenager who doesn't really understand the world just yet and sees things like weddings and princesses as the most important thing in the world. That doesn't make her a bitch, it makes her a teenage girl.

The view you've taken is a much more immature one, I'm assuming you're still a teenager yourself and you probably recognise traits in her that your peers still have and that you still view as "bad" and as a result she's a "horrible bitch".

EDIT - Also you're probably thinking back to the bit between her, Joffrey, Arya and the Dire Wolves. The choice she had to make then wasn't her being "bad" it was once again her being naive and paying the price for it. One of the many harsh life lessons she's already been taught which is why it should be easy to root for her.

But then they will go here and spoil everything, don't you think?

She didn't. She did the right thing actually - she knows that Arya wouldn't be harmed in any way and she shouldn't destroy her relationships with Joffrey over the stupid misunderstanding. She regretted it instantly when the wolf got killed, of course, but she just didn't know that it would happen (any nobody did except the spoiler brigade). Just a teenager that have a dream, a crush and a little understanding of what's happening around her - not a bitch, surely.

And I don't have a crush on her myself, if you would think so, I even don't like both the character and the actress

Theres no ban on people who have read the books, I don't post book talk in this thread.

There ought to be, since you are another in a long line of book readers who don't seem to be able to limit discussion to things that take place within the episodes themselves. I mean, Jesus. Read the fecking rules.
