Gabriel Jesus - United and others apparently meet release clause

With a name like that, how can he go wrong ?? Wait, he can...can go horribly wrong...

See now that's youtube video to get excited about, not a 18 year old running around at 100 miles an hour misplacing passes.
I'd move heaven and earth to get him. Chevrolet won't be happy though, he drives a Honda.

John 12:49 "For I did not speak of my own Accord."

Didn't think the videos looked all that great tbh. Story is probably made up anyway.

Firstly... Work permit?
Secondly... Its in the daily star
Thirdly... He is proper good on fm16 so fek it despite the fact it's probably not true we have bid, and despite the fact I don't think he qualifies for a work permit I hope somehow the daily star have finally got a story right

I can't see him coming to us if the Spanish teams are after him, too.
Them being loaded with top players might actually benefit us in getting the best young talents. On the RW, for example, Madrid have Bale and Barcelona have Messi. We have Juan "slowest/lightest wide player ever" Mata.

His agent won't have insisted on including us in a clause if he wasn't interested in coming here. And so far the only interested Spanish side is Atletico. Not saying you're wrong but if we are really interested, I reckon we have a chance.

The DailyStar are just copying reports, it's not from them.

I guess nothing. Peoples infatuation with the price is ridiculous.
To be fair, I'm also always interested in the price, possibly just due to the line of work I'm in. But at least watch a player extensively to judge his potential. What if he's as talented as Martial, for example. Then one would bite their hands off for 18-20 million pounds.

Well the people who watch Jesus claim he has genuine quality even more than Gabigol. I think €24m would be worth it if that is true. We need as many skillful players as possible.

Agreed. Fontaine here I think said he's the biggest talent in the Brazillian system ATM and the real deal (along with Correa). I think quick excellent dribblers is exactly the profile of player we need. Which is why I'm aboard the Dembele train even though it doesn't look likely.

I guess it depends on how ambitious a player is. If he's only after money and an easy ride of a career, then sure, he should join PSG as one would argue that the only meaningful PSG games nowadays are in the Champions League and they're bottling it every single season.

Yeah, while we are set to win it?

We're not even in it

Would be fine, exceptional talent. The star have just picked up on reports in Brazil. He look freaking awesome on YouTube though.

I expected a skinny kid, but he seems more stocky. Also is a proper striker? Would be delighted if we went for him, another proper talent, that could turn out to be world class for a cheap fee.

Yeah he seems hugely talented. Also, doesn't look to mind the physical stuff given how much he plays with back to goal.

Some of you lot are expecting miracles
They are?

EDIT: Bugger, this is what happens when you forget the thread history

So what? The French league is a joke and I doubt a young kid from Brazil would mind playing in the Europa League (if we don't make top 4) for a season instead of exit the CL in the 1/4 finals stage with PSG.

As I already said - it depends on the individual and whether he wants an easy career/the Paris lifestyle/money etc. before anything else. It's down to ambition.

We may not be set to win it, but we'll still win it before fecking PSG.

Going to admit I've never seem him play but seems very composed for an 18 year old in one-on-one situations with the keeper, reminiscent of another great Brazilian in his pomp at Inter.
For £18million (thats just over what Newcastle paid for Wijnaldum and £4million less than Spurs paid for Son) he could be a very interesting punt.

O Estado de São Paulo is the outlet running with the story. We've made a €30m offer according to them.

Maybe a Brasilian poster could shed some light on this speculation.

Been a while since we had a Brazilian attacker. This one looks strong, fast and can dribble. Over to you Ed.

Just watched about four Youtube vids of him and he doesn't look a special talent. Think we should let this one pass.

One of the more impressive YouTube compilations of a player I've seen!

Sooner or later, someone is going to become the first Brazilian to succeed at Old Trafford. They should be lining up for the honour!

Hes only scored 15 goals in 54 games for Palermis.

Rashford is twice the striker.

He would be a good addition but not for that pricetag. Who has he proven it against? At least Martial was a standout last season in the CL.

Don't we have some sort of network relationship with Palmeiras?
