Gabriel Jesus | Arsenal

Like the above poster's, I hope he is added to the extensive list of Citeh flops. Would love to see him flop and sold to a second division spanish side in a few years.

He's as talented as they come, from what I've seen of him (Brazil games). He has the potential to turn their season around, and bang in the numbers.

I hope he struggles to adapt to the PL, however.

"Used to winning titles" They've won 2, in nearly 8 years.

One won by goal difference
The other gifted to them by Slippy G & Crystanbul

His record in Brazil isn't enough to get worried about. He started well for Brazil national team with 4 in 6 but those came against Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela and Peru.

It is hard to tell.

Title here meaning trophy. Of which we've won five since 2011. Also, I think you'll find on both PL winning seasons, we were top after 38 games. The best team wins the league.

Anyway, it's a shame he's joining during such a rough patch as people are going to expect fireworks. He will require time to settle, he's a young lad who has just moved half way around the world into a much more demanding league.

I personally think he's got serious talent and I'm very excited that we bought him. Brazil's number 9 at 19. Ooft that's special.

12 goals 5 assists for a 19 year old in 27 games and player of the season is pretty decent going, career record of 1 in 3, though he does get loads of bookings. What would make you worried going forward.

I'm on the fence about him simply saying brazils no.9 is special doesn't add up. That spot was occupied by Fred and jo at the last world cup.

Im still otf he has potential but I worry if he can deal with the kicking he's gonna get

It isnt that special when since Ronaldo, their Number 9's have been utter garbage. Luis Fabiano, Fred and Serginho.

But what I said is still true though isn't it?

As for the Brazilian national team, who does he compete with for the number 9 spot? It was left vacated from the prolific striking talents of Fred, Jo & Hulk.
Now he's currently got Firmino as main competition? It's hardly Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho

Used of winning titles? Poor lad doesn't realise there's two clubs in Manchester :nervous:

I'm not convinced he'll be any better than Rashford when played as a striker.

Hilarious to see people saying with total confidence the kid will flop despite them having no clue how he will perform here. Stuff like that just screams total ignorance. No doubt the same people would be crying from the roof tops how much he was going to tear up the league if he signed for their own club.

Laughable.

Not sure which posts you are talking about, couldn’t find any from today in this thread.

If anything it's the opposite when it comes to City, City players are way overrated on RedCafe.

He's nailed on to be a success, I reckon. City have a big star in the making.

Hilarious to see posts like this @balaks when not one single person has said anything of the sort.

All you gotta do is click one page back and read.

Ok, earlier posts then, I assumed you meant today in this discussion.

Better to actually quote the poster if it's from like a month back and especially if it's just one deranged poster, rather than making a sweeping comment as though tonnes of people are at it

Yeah it’s only @MartialsBeard, and with him/her it seems more hate towards City than a reasoned opinion (”won’t make it simply because a similar build with Neymar" and admitting only to have seen youtube clips) but fair enough.

From the videos he looks a bit like Memphis, lacking that ultimate finesse and control in the smallest spaces at the highest tempo most real top players seem to have. But like I said, that's highlight videos talk.

That can easily spun another way and I could say that, while I'm prepared to acknowledge that we've under-achieved on the trophy front since the takeover, City have still won more PL titles in the last 5 full seasons than any other club in England and for all our shit results of late, he's joining a completely different club with far better prospects going forward than the one Robinho joined back in 2008.

He's just doing that thing that rival fans often do to each other and that's refusing to give the players or team any credit even if there's evidence to suggest that they might actually be quite good. I don't see an issue with it really - I've done it myself plenty of times down the years when launching into a bitter rant about United so I'm not going to get too upset about it:lol:

We can all make early predictions of best in the world of massive flop, but let's be honest until he kicks a ball and until a year down the line we will never truly know how good he is.

If Pep is smart though he will use him sparingly to begin with. Label him your new great hope that will save your season and he could soon melt under the pressure.

Seen his highlight reel and jeez the boys scored some cracking goals, a wide variety of goals, too.

Are the Man City fans expecting him to be more accomplished player than Sane?

Yeah there's nothing wrong with it. Will be interesting to see how he fares.

This guy is class. I've been impressed by him whenever I've watched Brazil over the past few months.

If Pep actually gives the likes of him and Iheanacho a run of games, they can replace Agüero eventually.

I hope he scores a hat trick one game so he gets an IF striker card on fifa. Then he go back to being a massive flop

No, exactly the same imho and we won't see the best of him this season either. He'll not replace Aguero in the short term, I think he'll compete with Sane for the right mostly next season with Sterling/Silva on the left.
Anyone who thinks he's going to come in replace Aguero and turn our season around is raving imho.

Actually its a bit of both, our better players are both overrated by some and underrated by others and the majority of our squad players in general are just underrated eg.. Sagna, Otamendi. Except Bravo, calling him shit is overrating him.
