GAA 2017

Always had a soft spot for Galway so I hope they win tomorrow. But it's nice to go into an All-Ireland final where it'll be genuinely nice to watch either team win while acknowledging the heartbreak of those beaten.

It's hard to believe it's been so long since either of these teams won an All-Ireland. As an Offaly man, looking at the state we're in '94 and '98 seem so long ago, but it's been even longer for these two teams who have both knocked on the door a few times since. It'll be good to see one of them get over the line tomorrow. Hopefully it's an entertaining game, and looking at the hurling both have played all year, i think entertainment is guaranteed.

Exact same seat for tomorrow as the semi-final. Loyalty & Dedication to the cause being rewarded. Gaillimh Abú.

Have a blast!

I never had no confidence prior to any Galway Hurling match, I always believe in them. I feel like the wait is over. All that heartbreak & suffering since we last won it nearly 30 years ago will be behind us tomorrow evening.

An emotional day for those of us that has followed the Galway Hurlers through thick & thin lies ahead. There'll be tears shed by the toughest of men if the Liam McCarthy Cup is lifted up into the clouds by a Galway man in Croke Park tomorrow.

It's certainly the best chance they've had in ages. Skillful and the toughest team now too.

I was out watching the football semi last weekend and discussing how it's not quite Win-Win, but Win-Meh... they've been in the wilderness too long too.

good Luck tomorrow @The Black Pearl - Hopefully Kinnegad gets a few of you stopping off celebrating on way home.

Really hope you do it. F**king disgusted I have to let Waterford down. Would love it for them as well. Canning deserves an AI

Wheres the team based tonight?

All going well Baz! As far as I know they're in the Gibson tonight.

Galway been by far the better team but goals keeping Waterford in it. Galway should win.

My interest in GAA is casual but my poor parents following Waterford for nearly 60 years have more heartbreak.

Useless feckers will never have the bottle to win it.

Thought Galway looked the better side throughout but Jesus the impact their subs made was unreal. To be able to bring talent like that off the bench is massive!

Was a blessing that Waterford bate us last time out to be honest. That Galway side would've put a record score on us.

Up galway. So nervous i could not watch it. First time I have seen Galway win an All Ireland and im nearly thirty.

Delighted for Galway. It'll be some party for the week.

Really hope Waterford regroup and come again next year. They're not far away away.

Congrats to Galway. Reading the game reports online it looked like a great game to watch. TBP will be legless for a while now :D

Well done Galway. I've enjoyed myself in and around Eyre Square many a time

Gallimh Abu

Disappointed with Burkes Speech - If he had any balls he would have said - "See you all in Harry's tonight"

I was going to come in here and say how I was going to enjoy tomorrow carefree and relaxed now that my own team has won, but I've just looked at articles on RTE and had a flutter of nerves for Mayo :D

Feckin hell how much I'd love them to do it.

Yeah you and the rest of us from the 31 counties. I'd love to see Mayo do it, but Dublins bench makes me think they'll do it. Imagine the game being in the melting pot and being able to bring on a fresh Diarmuid Connolly and Bernard Brogan. Crazy.

Dublin are just too much. If Mayo aren't winning at half-time it's over.

feck me I love All Ireland final day, the first part of it anyway. Nothing like it.

Whats the point, theres only one team in Gaelic Football. feck it anyway...Dublin 3-15 Mayo 1-7

Some never learn, people always predict easy Dublin wins against us and it never comes to pass.

Dublin deservedly favourites, but we'll give them aright rattle anyway.

Its got feck all to do with Mayo its the unlevel playing field and huge competitive advantage Dublin GAA has every year.

Clifford really is a superstar-in-waiting.

As for the big one, I think Dublin by at least three. Mayo will struggle to get the spread of scores necessary to win this whilst Dublin's bench is remarkable at making a big impact late on.

Better first half than I could have hoped for. Still think we needed a bigger lead I feel and should have it. Dublin will come out hard. Its the hope that kills me.
