GAA 2015

They were missing a lad that was capable of doing the near impossible alright or in other words missing a Joe Canning. That goal he scored against Kilkenny in the Leinster final was absolutely beautiful.

Magnificent game on at the minute. Can't imagine what it's like for the fans, I'm a neutral and totally invested in it! Wanted Galway to win before the match but not sure now.

Congrats @The Black Pearl, hope you guys win it all now.

Yep, after nearly 30 years now of trying and trying to just get over that fecking finishing line, I really hope so. It's been far too long.

What an epic game of hurling though. I'm still shaking and I'm not going to lie I shed a tear at the end. It had absolutely everything, passion, guts, skill, penalties, unbelievable saves from both keepers, tit for tat scoring and it all boiled down to the last few seconds and an absolute beaut of a point from Maloney out on the wing who was just after coming off the bench.

Well done to the Galway minors on reaching the final as well. The journey home will feel that bit shorter this evening, thank god. Roll on September 6th.

Gaillimh Abú!

Brilliant game. Galway were deserved winners. Although, had Tipp won, Callinane's performance today would have won him Hurler of the Year.

Delighted to see Galway get over the line and really hope they go and win it now, although Kilkenny are a different animal altogether.

Great to see Noel McGrath back too.

I thought I might lob this up. At an U13 hurling match back in Loughrea last night between my own club Gort and Michael Cusacks, the gear men for Gort were Aidan Harte and Greg Lally, both having played against Tipp in that that epic match on Sunday. A lovely sight, two sound lads as well.

I'm going for Tyrone +4 today. I think Kerry are the superior team and should win. But Tyrone are dogged and in that weather I think it'll be close.

I'm not even from Tyrone and I hate Niall Morgan. Can't imagine what it'd be like if I wanted them to do well and him there being a gobshite.

Have some of that Tyrone. Fecking delighted. Every shit call they get against them is justice for the crap they've done in the past. Wet and miserable in Croker but totally delighted with that.

Really looking forward to the Dublin Mayo clash. Loads of interesting duals. Do the dubs have a defender or system to try deal with Aidan ose. Will both sides compete in the middle or will one go short possibly dublin will with a few questions on the fitness of mdma and Mayo for in midfield. Will the forward lines deliver to potential. Could be a cracker.

Business end of the championship is finally here, all that shadow boxing is finally over. Three and a half months to get this far, and the three teams you would have picked to be still upright back in January are all still there.

Fascinating game on Sunday, really looking forward to it. The Mayo team was announced last night - I can't see it being the 15 to start but it won't be too far off it. Main question marks for me is the inclusion of Barry Moran and how that will pan out, the omission of Tom Cunniffe (as I reckon he'll end up starting instead of Moran and thus allowing Higgins to do the sweeping job), and the inclusion of Diarmuid O'Connor given that it was a mate of his that was killed last week - hard to see how he'll play, but I'm sure he'll get the best wishes from all during this time regardless.

Anyway - this has been an incredibly quiet thread this year, if it wasn't for TBP it would have died a death months ago. Hopefully it will pick up a bit over the next few weeks - it's a great time of year.

Come on Mayo.

It won't be long now and both Sam & Liam will be camped out beside one another.

Start gathering the old tires and pallets, the west is about to be lit up for a year.

Dublin fouling a lot and giving away cheap possession. Aidan O Shea is a freak.

1 point from play in an entire half of football for Mayo. Shocking lack of discipline from the Dublin defence.

Is there such a thing as an ABK? I am it, if there is. Would love Mayo to go all the way but I'd imagine they'd crumble against Kerry, so come on the dubs! :D

I don't get the Mayo love, they are shit on a stick and without Aidan O Shea this game would be over. If they do beat us I hope Kerry destroy them.

FFS, off the ball fouls are happening all over the pitch, to pick one like that and penalise is awful. Dublin fouls are keeping Mayo in this match.
