To be fair, he won’t be going anywhere that doesn’t match his Barca deal, so whoever takes him if he’s truly available will be paying him a lot. The kind of money 99% of clubs, Liverpool included, cannot afford.
Which makes me wonder who are the other clubs that may be interested in signing him with that kind of wage...(he is currently earning £260k a week, right?)
Real Madrid - Impossible. I doubt Barca would sell him to their biggest rivals
PSG - possibly. But they already have Verratti, who seems to be similar type of player? But wouldn't count them out, there are still some room of improvement from their midfield, competing with the likes of Pereira, Herrera, Wijnaldum for the other 2 starting spot.
City - not likely, as City doesn't really need him, as they already have KVB and Silva in CM, and Rodric in DM. Its perfect balance for their football. They will need to find a replacement who is stronger defensively for Fernandinho though, as backup to Rodri. But if they want him, he will join them immediately, I can tell.
Chelsea - not likely. They don't need him now, as they already have Kante and Joginho as DM, and Mount as AM.
Liverpool - not likely. I reckon they might go all in for Tchouameni instead, who suit them more. Plus they already have Fabinho and Thiago.
Juventus - perhaps not, but wouldn't count them out. I mean, do they really need him, when they already have Locatelli, Arthur, who seems to be similar type of player? But they rebuilding their squad too, so anything is possible.
Newcastle - not possible. Even they are fecking rich now, it would take them few more years to build up their squad.
Bayern - Don't think he suit them at all, plus thy already have Kimmich and Goretzka, who are perfect for them
Arsenal - Well, I don't know, sure they could afford him with all the CL income they will get next season? I mean, they are not shy to spend big on Ben White last summer, sure they wouldn't be shy to spend big on De Jong this summer too, if he is available? They have Xhaka and Partey in midfield, but De Jong does seem to be good upgrade to them.
