that's the point: I think they were worse last season than at any time I can remember (and it's the fact that I can remember further back than many that makes it relevant) - even the season we went down. And so far, I have seen nothing new from the new men in charge.
I don't think that's negative - I think it's factual. And I'm paid to be factual so it comes with the package! There are people here saying we don't need to buy anyone at all - sorry, but i see that as deluded and will call it out as such (I do not know if you are one of those - and am not saying that you are) but is it too much to expect the club to get transfers done early as they did (usuallY) in SAF's days. It's no coincidence to me that that came with success

But don't tell me other clubs wouldn't have done the deal quicker and let's hope that negotiations for other incomings don't drag on the same way
