3 million isn’t a lot, really. Population of Munich is 1.5m so those shirts could easily all be in Germany. Doesn’t really prove anything.
I’ll solve this puzzle, Adidas is a German company. Bayern is the biggest club in Germany. Naturally......

If this is the player EtH believes is essential to what he wants to do, and remaining signings cannot happen until this one is concluded, then I guess we have to trust the manager on this one.

I also do not agree that Arnold said we have 200 million to spend. He was just making a point that its a deal the club will do and that what it ends up costing isn't as important as ensuring the manager gets the player he wants.

Ok we’ve been working on De Jong for 4 hours and 47 minutes today.
Any updates?

There seems to be widespread agreement that FDJ doesn't actually want to come to United, but may end up having to do so if Barcelona need to sell and nobody else makes an acceptable offer. If that is indeed the case and he would end up signing for us just because he has no other choice, even though he doesn't really want to, is that truly a good idea? Haven't we struggled enough with players who aren't bothered? I don't know anything about his personality and professionalism, but it seems like such a risk to take at this point.

Plenty of footballers are playing for clubs that wouldn't necessarily have been their first choice, all things being equal. Quite often club legends were supporters of their club's bitter rivals growing up. If a club makes it clear they want you gone, you'd have to be a bit odd to be crying over the move and have it affect your performances. These are professional players who want to win games and do well. He's more likely to have a I'll show them attitude than a poor me one, imo. I can only think of the Di Maria thing (which I'm not sure anyone's brought up yet) but he played well at the start and there were quite a few factors involved. He has since said his main issue was with LVG. They didn't get on at all and he was shunted around different positions. De Jong knows the manager very well, has worked with him before and been successful so I don't think it's a major concern.

Surprisingly, the only country where I've seen Bayern jerseys outside Germany is in the Netherlands. One would have thought the Dutch of all people wouldn't be sporting German apparel.:nervous:
I've seen Bayern jerseys in Singapore actually, but they're not as common as the English and Spanish teams.

I'd be surprised if ETH were the one leaking this information.
 Exactly. People just buy everything these days.

ETH leaking info to journos which in turn makes it harder for his own club to negotiate for the player he wants to buy.

I'm living in Thailand and the Philippines. And I see plenty of Bayern shirts especially in Thailand, whether replica or original I don't know. Bayern just opened their 2nd international headquarter in Bangkok.

Especially a lot of middle eastern tourists wear Bayern shirts but also some from India.
India ? No chance . I have seen none here. United by absolute far. After that Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea etc

Frenkie de Jong and Eriksen are the only players in world football that can play Ten Hag ball and his world falls apart if we don't get them? Dear me.

Reporters Log Its been 5hrs 8mins since the last update.

Yes. He had morning sex with his wife. But she was disappointed at the lack of press resistance he had exhibited --- despite being so dominant and physical with an effective build-up. His finishing lacked creativity.

At best a #6.

Whats the source of this Razaraheman article? Is it some credible journalist or more twitter nobody’s?

Astounded more like. He has never worked in a job as big as the United one and it would be a little strange to be leaking information to the press only a few weeks after taking over when you haven't even met the players...

Yeah its bs. If it was the case, it doesn't look great on him.

Eriksen not necessarily, but he is on a free and adds depth.

FDJ yes. You wont find many midfielders with his qualities and he is used to the manager. Only midfielder on the market he can build a team around quickly and know beforehand he is worth it to do so.

Seems like ten Hag doesn’t want to sign anyone else before the de jong deal gets done. He’s worried we move on to other targets and then not have enough funds to buy de jong. He sees de jong as the type of midfielder who can help implement his style of play a lot quicker. The quicker this gets done the better it will be as I feel like we can sign other targets a lot quicker and smoother then this one is going.

Yeah this is definitely holding up the others, how many remains to be seen
