It is effectively Ornstein saying he doesn't know.

It might be his most likely destination, it might not be.

World of difference vs "IT IS his most likely destination".

It is his most likely destination IF HE LEAVES BARCA. It is exactly what the other poster wrote! And then you responded by saying that's not what Ornstein said, and wrote literally the same meaning in different words :wenger:

Oh well, if it brings us closer to 2000 then it can't be bad

The goon squad waiting with a van to bundle FDJ and Memphis in the back before they can escape

How many minutes do we think VDB will get at his own wedding? Just come on for the final kiss at the end? Or just the disco?
Apparently his wife has a stand in for the honeymoon in case he isn't up for it

I don’t know if you’re doing this on purpose but you make it sound like he specifically said he doesn’t want to come to Utd. He never said that.

It’s pretty widely accepted that he would prefer to stay at Barca but that’s as much as you can really say.

As far as I know, it’s never been said categorically that he won’t leave. Barca have been pressuring him to leave and under those circumstances it’s not impossible that he would leave. If he does leave there has been no word from FDJ that he wouldn’t come here.

So it’s stretching it and putting a negative spin that doesn’t exist to say “he said from the start he doesn’t want to come to Utd”. If that had any basis in fact whatsoever, we wouldn’t have been briefing that we were confident of getting him. Would we?

Not doing anything on purpose. Just saying that from earliest times in this saga many quotes have been made about him saying he wanted to stay at Barca, he wanted ECL football, if he did move and that he would prefer Chelsea over Man Utd. Other things were thrown in about not liking Manchester but loving Barcelona and liking London, however, as with all other things, a lot of this is poor journalism. Unless either of us has been with FdJ constantly over the last 3 months there is no proof of anything. I have read that many things had been said but very, very little of him wanting to join ManUtd. I am pleased you agree it is “ pretty widely accepted he would prefer to stay at Barca “ and I appreciate that unless either of us have heard what he actually has said there is no proof either way. However, my personal take on this matter is that, for whatever reason, he has no intention of leaving Barca and similarly of not joining Man Utd. Think we are both seeing this in different ways which we are both entitled to do.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

It's not the same inference at all.

How can you deduce that "IT IS his most probable destination" is the same as "IT MAY BE his most probable destination"???

The two are not the same.

Anyway, yes, it doesn't matter as he's not leaving.

Absolute scenes when the the vicar accidentally says ‘do you take Donny van de Bench to be your lawfully wedded husband’ :nervous:

He IS NOT leaving, or MAY NOT be leaving...?

Utd fans singing Erik sign him up as they arrive for the ceremony would be hilarious. Mikky not knowing where to put herself either.

Someone needs to get on case to see if he's actually been invited, maybe it's a situation where he is just turning up at the reception.
