Anyone got a Twitter account to post some positive news? Got a feeling the muppets will jump at good news from literally ANYONE now.

it would be an awful shame if he doesn't come to united. i had a chant composed for him and everything, based on 'cod liver oil' by the dubliners.
i would post it, but i haven't received the requisite amount of likes yet.
hint hint.

If this were to finally happen on deadline day, it could make Jim white explode, on Sky, and it’s live!

The only reason this transfer hasn't happened is because he's having a standoff with Barcelona,it's why the media make up stories cus there's nothing, they're both having a good old fashion mexico face off.

Anything can happen. I do expect us to be quite busy on deadline day though. I just hope it's not silly panic buys trying to plug any holes with the wrong players

I think it will be players ten Hag would only sign off on. Even if they are “only” his B list.

10,000 posts in 60 hours.

That's 2.77 posts every minute.
As if to confirm the improbability of that, three minutes passed without any posts at all…

2000 will only happen if he’s spotted at the airport.

Signing Casemiro was an excellent move for lots of reasons, including how it affects the likelihood of this transfer happening.

We immediately became less desperate for a central midfielder (style differences a side), and can now certainly get by without signing De Jong this summer. Strengthening our hand in terms of who stumps up the outstanding wages.

We can actually go into the final hours of this window saying "we won't pay a penny towards the outstanding wages, so it's up to you". How rare for us to be in a strong position in negotiating a transfer!

I think Barca will crumble and offer to pay up (might still not make a difference as De Jong might be planning to ride this campaign against him out). In such a scenario the £15m? deferred wage we were once under pressure to pay can certainly be effectively deducted from what we paid for Casemiro, in that his signing turned the tables on who's paying it.

If he decides to leave and Chelsea pip us to this, that is far worse than just losing out to Barca...

No player has ever gone to our london offices to complete a deal, as far as I'm aware, lovely straw clutching though

He's probably not even going to London, or anything to do with a transfer.
