The worst window ever at a time when we needed the best. Sad times and a depressing season ahead.
Considering we signed Fellaini (and Zaha if you're feeling generous) in a summer window once, I'm pretty sure your comment is untrue.

He's really relaxed. He'll take one of those Spanish sausage sandwiches every day of the week and thrice on Sunday.

It's fecking over.

No value in the transfer market, but you might get 2 for 1 at subway on a footlong in Salford.

There are two things that concern me with this transfer and Chelsea being interested.

1) Its come out today that Boehly is prepared to spend £300m this summer, if a player see's that level of funding you automatically think they are a serious team and there only intent is to win.

2) Chelsea would of at least spoke to Frenkies agent about a move and if that would appeal, If Frenkie told them i want to stay at Barca but if i did leave it would be for Utd and Ten Hag they would of already of backed off, that has not happened, infact the opposite has as they are now clear favourites (bookies odds) to sign him, could it be we had our shot but it relied on getting it done quick and now his head is being turned?

Time will tell i guess.

Been a while now since the last news came out of the Barca 7 million euros offer to De Jong for his 17 million owed wages.

About as stalemate as it gets. Wonder if it runs all the way to the 15th as it is until they have to register the new players. It would be genuinely hilarious if De Jong refuses to leave and Barca can't register some of their new signings.

That would probably be the 2nd best scenario for United other than getting the player. Wouldn't want him going Chelsea that's for sure.

Chelsea have already spent crazy money, they can only really sign one more player I think

Changed my vote. feck you all. You're all liars.

Demand a fecking bleep test for all these absolute twats who have above 1000 posts in this here thread. Get off your arse and get fresh air.

People read too much into things, players are kind of obligated to post pictures by their PR managers and publicists. Your social media clout and staying relevant helps with sponsorships and endorsements.

Ronaldo for instance gets over a $1m per Instagram post because he sold his image rights, so a player like Frenkie an absolute treasure of the Dutch national team has to post regularly regardless of him. As an athlete and they'll most likely be handed the pictures to post.

Nothing of what goes on, on a social media account of a player matters, it's all a brand. You may even argue at times like this you have Chelsea fans, United and Barca all checking their pages so they're getting more traffic (views/interactions) than usual.
 Sorry I should have added that I realise that. My brain is far too logical. It was more aimed at anyone losing their sh it.

Of course not, I’m a grown adult, I don’t feel embarrassment for something that I can’t do anything about

Nobody asked if YOU would feel embarrassed, is it embarrassing for the club?

I want him to join as much as any muppet. But let’s face the facts. The man is posting happy photos of him in training. This saga has been ongoing for months now and he hasn’t given a single public hint that he’s unhappy at Barca or wants to try somewhere new. Barca may want him gone, but he lives in Barcelona, earns good money, has champions league football.

This isn’t happening and today is the day that I’ve finally managed to convince myself that it’s done.

Think if you look at most players that transferred recently they'll be posting similar posts. Social media means nothing.

So to add some context here. If we forget we’re even in for him for a second. Here’s a guy posting a picture of himself smiling in training because he’s so happy to be there. So happy, that he’s yet to agree a new reduced salary which is required for Barca to sign their new players. Is that right? Some serious public posturing going on.

Or it's a player training at his dream club and the media have no idea what's actually going on behind the scenes.

It really does give off that 'being treated like utter shit, sue Barca' vibe though doesn't it? I'm not sure if it's the smile or the huddle with teammates. Let me create another angle for you guys; in the last pic, he's standing between 2 players we want to leave, isn't smiling AND they are both wearing RED! Am I doing it right?

Was just about to mention look at Ronaldos posts.

He's hardly going to mope around in training looking depressed and down is he? His preference is to stay, we all know that, but chances are he won't be able too, and i think reality will hit sooner or later that he's going to have to leave if he doesn't fancy that pay cut. Barca won't make it easy for him to stay and not take the cut. All depends on where he goes then

Ronaldo has been in photos smiling at training recently, he definately doesn't want to stay.

Social media is a brand for most athletes / celebrities it's an image, not a proxy to make statements to clubs, transfers are completely internal. That goes for Frenkie, Cristiano and any athlete. The sooner people see that with the Frenkie narrative the better.

Yeah it means absolutely nothing. Unless they have a proper meltdown (was it Nasri?)

He does have an image to maintain i suppose, and looking depressed and down isn't a good look.
