Who, Marcus and Martinus? Search for them at Spotify and they’ll annoy you even more.
Don’t know if it’s their account though.

Is it really them? FFS!
Atleast they like the right football team, but they sure are annoying.

They're going for Jorginho instead I think. Wonder who will turn out to be better?
from what I've seen Jorginho is probably better with his defensive positioning and maybe a bit of a better passer, Freds a bit more physical and probably the better tackler and at taking it past players.

So probably both players suit their perspective managers style quite well.

Pretty much

Fred sounds kinda similar to Pogba though. I thought we might have gone for someone to complement Pogba (like Jorginho for example!)

We already have that in Matic.
People fail to realize Matic was doing the Box To Box / Deep play making role. With Fred in , Matic can sit back.

So €60M, or the £53M that people were laughing at that tabloid for quoting?

Yep, looks like it. City had €50m rejected in January so it appears to be the going rate for him.

As I said a couple of days ago, he’s got all the attributes we need in midfield, whether he can step up to the quality needed for us to compete for the title is another story.

I'm not gonna pretend to be an expert on him, but from what ive seen in a very broad way I can see the comparison, but Fred for my money is a bit less flakey a bit more gritty, but also a bit less talented. I wouldn't feel worried about him playing in a midfield 2, which is obviously an issue for Pogba.

Pogba werent meant to play in 2 man midfield imo. But considering we dont have many options in midfield he got stucked in there. Hopefully fred will offer some balance in the midfield

They did go for him, they put in a 50m euro bid 4 months ago. It was rejected.
So that points to us probably paying the €60m release clause... Pretty high price for someone who isn't among the best (I say this having watched very little of him :p)

Shakhtar were still in the CL at that point and less willing to sell.

Pep in January also had priorities elsewhere in their side which is why they were chasing Sanchez and Mahrez.

I haven't seen much of him but from what I have, I reckon he will be an upgrade on Herrera and will be solid enough to allow Pogba a bit more freedom. He is a good tackler and reminds me a little of Kante in that sense and apparently has a good engine.
Would definitely be happy if this goes through.

Pinpoint passing, high creativity level, plenty of assists and chances created, overall attacking threat, spreading play, breaking down defences?

Uhm, yes.

And if anything, him playing box-to-box will allow Pogba to have the freedom to do such things as well.

Lord Pepus Christ decided they needed a 20th CB and got Laporte
Isn't it a bit rich to mock him for that right when we're supposedly doing our best to sign our third CB in two years? With five CBs in the squad already.

Pep has spent £250m on defenders in 2 years.

United have spent £350m total on all their signings in 2 years.

...you know, just some food for thought...

Bailly has turned into a sick note...nothing to do with poor recruitment but just bad luck with injuries.

I doubt we would be in for any CBs if they were not always injured. Smalling is the only truly reliable CB we have.

No. Why? Because City keeps buying CBs like very year then not benching or even offloading the previous purchase. Natasic, Savic (played for Atletico now), Mangala, now John Stones looks like bench material despite 2 of them were on the expensive end of the price tag.

Remind me when Jones, Smalling were bought. Third CBs in two year is lovely way to put it. As if the purchase this summer can go back to the past two seasons and help change history.

If he wins Saturday, how many Champions Leagues in a row would that be? And how many seasons as manager would that mean he HASNT won it?

Most managers could hand pick 11 players and still not win consecutive Champions Leagues
Zidane in the CL really is an anomaly. From all the accounts I've seen he's praised for who he is, and his influence as Zidane, rather than what he does. He's even said so himself. He lets his players and his coaches do whatever they want and he "empathizes" with them. It's incredible really that they made the final this year.

Under [former manager Mircea] Lucescu, forwards and full-backs were responsible for that, but now I am the conductor.

Love the highlighted bit, and I can only imagine that's why Jose wants him.

It's something, most, including myself, have said to have lacked these last few seasons. Someone who can start play and control the pace of the game.

It's exactly what Jose did when he went to Chelsea. He identified that they didn't have a conductor in midfield, so he bought Fabregas, who went onto make 18 assists.

Initially, I think Jose felt Pogba could fulfil this role, but I guess he's realised that he's better slightly higher up the pitch, rather than deep.
