Freddy Guarin

this rumour is back.

more an central attacking player we already have plenty of (Mata, Kagawa, Rooney, Januzaj) than a midfielder to play behind them, our priority in the market.

4 goals 6 assists ins't bad but 71% pass success rate is poor and he seems not to be on the ball often.

Some portuguese newspapers are saying he is going to Zenit. Exchange between Criscito and Guarin. Wouldn´t be surprised since Villas Boas seems to rate him.

This would make a lot of sense. Criscito has been craving a return to Italy for months and Zenit have Ansaldi who will easily be able to step in. With Zyryanov on his last legs, Zenit need a defensive minded midfielder this summer.

Nowhere near United standard.

Kill this rumor with fire!

Not premier league level (for top clubs)

A player without any tactical skill, at Inter plays as attacking midfielder scoring few goal (2-3)

Inter tried to get rid of him already in january (a swap with Vucinic)

But inter fans don't want juve players and the reached deal between the clubs has been cancelled after an ultrà contestation.

Will be interesting o see him in Colombias next match seem as he missed the Greece game through suspension...if he plays well in Colombias next game then you can expect hundreds of posts on here of fans who have claimed to have been following his progress for 5 years and who for years have wanted us to sign him

Vermaelen instead of Hummels, Benatia.
Guarin instead of Kroos, Pogba, Schweinsteiger.
Konoplyanka instead of Sanchez, Reus.

Frustrating summer indeed. Yes, I'm overreacting it.

That's because you believed all the media bullshit. The fact that anyone was honestly expecting players of that caliber is mind-boggling to me. They're among the best players in Europe with numerous suitors so it's always going to be hard even with Fergie, but even more-so this year because we have no CL football and finished seventh in the league.

I've said it from the first day, this warchest is bullshit. We are again looking for bargains. Hope we get some and do not end up panic buying like last summer, that is even worse that not signing class players.

Basicalliy there is nothing against bargains if they make sense or are young and have potential and as long as they are in addition to the urgently needed ready made players for LB, CB and CM.

Signed a new contract a few months ago and doesn't seem like a player LvG would be interested in as he's pretty brainless. I think the papers are making stuff up again.

If this is true, which I know isn't, then I'd rather have De Jong; Dutch and PL proven.

P.S. Don't want either, nor Fernando or Song.

The club just needs a proper CM or two who knows what the position demands and most importantly should be United quality. I can't emphasise the latter much more.

Bring in a 18 yr old fetus potential or a 30 yr old geriatic veteran, but no more 'may be useful in some games' in his 20s sub standard waste of money non disposable garbage.

I hate this summer. I'll take Rothwell, Pearson, Powell and Pereira under LVG than any of those garbages any day of the week.

Awful player, no thanks.

Even Moyes had the sense to stay clear.

Can't say I have ever watched him enough to form an opinion.

Would rather keep Fellaini. One mistake is more than enough.

Awful player, no thanks.

Downgrade on Fellaini and Cleverley.

wasn't he the player getting booed by inter fans(his own supporters) last summer for been that inconsistent.

doesn't exactly fill me with confidence

This rumor is apparently coming from Bollingbroke becoming Inter CEO it seems.

They might be interested in Hernandez actually and Guarin isn't that bad a player either, but we need better.

Isn't he an attacking midfielder? If so, Van Gaal has already stated we've got too many so he won't be bringing another in. Plus he's 28.

I think we would be willing to part with Hernandez but Inter or anyone else will have to get the chequebook out. McCormack £11m, Borini £14m (I know that looks like it's fallen through)...I just hope we don't undersell him.

I can't see him playing alongside Herrera, he is more a number 8/10 and can't defend like Vidal or Strootman imo. He isn't that good at all, solid player, but De Jong for example would be much more useful.

I can't imagine us even considering it, what the hell would we do with Guarin? He's not a DM and isn't good enough to displace the attacking options we have.
