Exactly my sentiments too. And this is why I'd rather spend money on a short term solution than someone young who might become a world beater one day, if he has the right attitude, and if he has the will to work hard, because honestly we are all stocked up in that department at United.

A carrick-Lampard CM combo is a disaster waiting to happen. We need a CM.
One thing he is not is overrated. Lampard is the highest goalscoring midfielder in PL history and second in all time assists.

2) I would rather have him in the midfield than to see players like Park, Rafael or Gibson again in our CM!!!!!!!!!!
3) Ms Bleakley would be our number one WAG at Old Trafford
4) I don't think it would be a good deal for us (also i'm a big fan of Lampard).............
- He makes a game too slow in the last 1-2 years
- He can't play in a two-man midfield, we wouldn't have the ideal midfield partner for him (It would only work if we play a midfield with wingers who do a lot of defensive work........Park-Lampard-Carrick-Valencia).
