Franky Lampard

Would slot into the side quite well.

Literally no chance of this happening though.

Imagine a double signing of him and Beckham :lol::lol::drool::drool:

This would be a nightmare. He would create more selection headaches than he would solve.

A rotation of himself Carrick and Anderson is a much better selection problem to have than Carrick, Rafael or Park ! ;)

The Caf reaction to a typical Lampard performance for us would be priceless.

How about you tell us Lance, you never really seem to actually talk about football.

Us? I was under the impression I was talking to you.

Anyway, if that is what you believe, I see no reason to disappoint you.

No thanks. We need someone more mobile, younger and either a DM or a creative midfielder. Lamps would not be an answer to our midfield problems.

He'd be useful in a 3-man midfield where his anonymity for 70% of matches wouldn't be such an issue. He'd get us a few goals here and there, but I doubt he'd be worth what we'd have to pay him in wages.

But he seems like a good guy, so we should wish him all the best in his future endeavours and keep his name on file.

That's cleverley/Pogba/Morrison, signing lamps would allow them time to develop

Hey, you know what a typical Lampard performance consists of. The other 30 percent being an important goal/assist.

The legendary patience of the Caf would make Lampard playing for us hilarious.

Unless Ferguson changed the formation, he wouldn't fit here at all. And Lampard isn't good enough to change our system for.

Well you're the one that asked the question Lance, I simply asked you to tell the forum your own thoughts.

God knows what is happening with two of the three players you have mentioned. Lampard would be a strange signing given his age and inability to play in a 2 man midfield. I'd be very concerned if SAF thinks he is the answer to our problems.

Actually, you accused me of "never really seeming to actually talk about football."

So, either you haven't been paying attention, or you don't read the football forums.

Either, or, there isn't much point in engaging you on the subject. I am sure you won't lose any sleep over it.

No, you asked a question and I asked you tell us what you thought yourself.... I'm still waiting but, as you say, I wont lose any sleep over it.

No what? So you didn't say I never really seem to actually talk about football?

I replied to De Selby, for the record.

Let's get serious, lads.

The transfer forum isn't a place for inane chatter & bickering.

Is he a good player? Yes.
Would I have him at United? Yes.
Is there even .1% of this happening? No.

FWIW he'd be a weird signing. He's lost a lot of his mobility and has been average for a while now.

Unless I've suddenly woken up in the year 2004.
