Saw some rumours doing the rounds on Twatter about him this last week, but it's really ramped up tonight.

The story wont go away.

And now...

(try to ignore the babes and check the top)

So... Frank Lampard in red? :boring:

If you're interested (you're not) tonight's blast of Twatter rumour mongering isn't based on the Daily Star back page. A few reliable ITKs (oxymoron?) giving this some weight beyond paper talk.

But hey, this is all for fun. In my eyes, 1% chance of it happening.

Despite the weirdness and Chelsea this is the kind of transfer that would make perfect sense. Premier league experience would improve the team and contribute to the development of the youngsters rather than obstruct their progress. Can't actually thing of anyone else who could tick those boxes. (Maybe David Beckham?)

I feel sorry for Lampard, having to share a newspaper with that lot.

Who the fock is 'Pineapple's Andrew Stone'???

I wouldn't say no to motorboating all of those tits, or signing Lampard

More papers to report this soon, is the word. I look forward to waking up to 5 pages of arguments.

The classic link player to united to get attention from other clubs/get more playing time at current club technique.

Frank is a lovely intelligent chap, don't mistake him for the scum of JT & A.Cole. Apart from his age he strikes me very much as a Fergie type player.

The medias lurid crush on him is certainly more annoying than the fella himself, as opposed to half his teammates.

He'll be 34 in five months, it's not even a short term solution, it isn't a solution at all.

What's his contract situation at Chelsea anyway?

If moneys right I recon we could squeeze a good 2 year out of him, he's knocking on but he'll up his game with a move and a fresh start.

I've always wanted to hate Lampard but never been able to find a reason to. I even, and I hate myself for it, got annoyed with his 'point up to Mum' goal celebration.

Imagine it's just agent work to get more of a role under AVB but it would be a masterstroke. Underused and seemingly undervalued at Chelski, so wouldn't cost a fortune. Definitely got the engine to play 40 games a season for a couple more years yet.

He gives himself the thumbs up when he runs.

That's all I have to say about that.

Not the worst fecker in the world. And a better CM than Rafael at this point in time.

yep I'd take him. even if he's only good for the rest of this season and next. good player even at this stage of his career

I'd take him in a heartbeat if we got him on the cheap.

Absolutely NEVER gonna happen though.

Can you imagine how much Hernandez could thrive with someone like Lampard behind him!

Adrian Durham mentioned this two weeks ago as a whim. Surprised it took this long to make the papers, although the aul racism has been taking up a lot of everyone's time.

I know it's kept me busy over the christmas period.
