My squads main weakness is the performance of my full backs, I don't think I've had a single full back average over a 7.0 over a season in 4 years. I'm not sure whether its a tactical issue or whether my full backs are just a bit average. Bought Atal and Pellegrini with the idea to move to a 352 but just can't ever get that formation working in FM games. Got a good prospect for RB in my Colombian regen Sherman Roa but im not convinced by his attributes.
Think the game is a bit too easy in England, at least for the first season. I've managed to get to January with Fulham in the Europa league spots, beating most of the big boys and having a lot of draws.
The challenges are better with mid-level clubs in lesser leagues. Valencia has been quite a difficult challenge, both financially, and getting the players to perform to the level they should. Sporting Lisbon and Anderlecht have also been fun ones, where I haven't been able to run away at the top yet.

My last save was probably the longest one I've had in ages. I usually give up early on but I got to 2026/27 in that one and managed 4 different clubs and won about 11 trophies. Gave up at Chelsea though as I just found it boring, they were stacked when I arrived and I barely changed anything to take them from 8th to winning the league.

I always find England boring and easy. I did well with Sevilla and took over United (I rarely ever take the job). My first 6 games were 4-0, 5-1, 6-0, 3-0 (Chelsea), 4-1, 7-0 (Hull City). Got bored and quit the save.
Picked up this wonderkid from Partizan for 7m, already my highest rated midfielder.
Still enjoying Austria loads. Finding it tough at the moment to meet the CL squad requirements though.
ive just won the world cup with belgium after winning it with portugal 4 years ago and i cant get another international job. "you arent thought to be the best person for this particular job" but for every single one

I'm going to start a save unemployed and take the first Prem job that comes up. I will then try and turn that team into the best in the world.

Finally had a chance to get a decent run in this (thank you COVID) and it is just insane what they have done with Liverpool. 20 games in on my save they have 58 points, are averaging over 3 goals a game and have a GD of roughly infinity. I am playing with Utd to get a feel for this version before venturing off into the challenging clubs and my take away is to just avoid England for a few years.
Ffs I just cannot get past how much I hate West Ham. They hadn't won a game from the opening 14 when I took over and I've got them out of the relegation zone but I just cannot shake the dislike

If it's anything like FM20 then good luck dealing with Steve Parish. I had a fecking nightmare with them stepping in to block me buying or selling anyone.

First season with United. Leeds were top all the the way through. On the last day I was above them on goal difference and in the 93rd minute Jack Grealish scores a equaliser against me. Leeds battered West Ham 3-0 and won the League. fecking Leeds!

If it makes you feel any better, my Southampton side have just battered Leeds.

I took over Southampton and signed a couple of young defenders, a young striker plus Dominik Szoboszlai to play in a relatively attacking 442. It's been unbelievable - we're 10 games in and have won all 10, scoring 32 and conceded 6, beating Everton, Spurs and Wolves as well as knocking Liverpool out of the League Cup.
It's obviously all going to fall apart soon but so far we're flying!

So this is going extremely well. I took over in Jan with them 18th in the league and had some fantastic results leaving us 5th with two games to go. The team have been unreal. The board have just said they're delighted I qualified for the Europa League which is 6 years ahead of schedule
The only signing I've made is Nicolas Pepe on loan in Jan and he's been great. Plus I've been playing youngsters like Tyrick Mitchell, Nathan Ferguson, Eze and Naya Kirby.
The plan is to inject some more youth into the squad as it has so many players over 30. I've already agreed deals to sign Dominic Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch for £19m and £11.75m respectively and hopefully I can find the money for a solid striker as well.
I'm having a lot of success with Deportivo - got them up 3 leagues into the top Spanish division again where they belong. After 6 years in charge I've transformed them into a top 8 team in Spain with some very exciting young players (and Christian Eriksen). Haven't actually won anything yet and got put out of Spanish cup in first round this year which didn't go down well with the board.
My Inter save was going well even though my transfers are so hit and miss. Can’t go wrong with Richarlison on a free I thought? Nope, huge flop currently rotting in my reserves after being benched by 36 year old Mata. Paqueta for £69m? 3 assists and two goals in two seasons and got voted worse signing of the season.
What about full backs, signed Florenzi, out with an ACL after a month. Signed a defensive mid from Salzburg, thought he looked solid.. nope, terrible player for £24m who I later sold for £7m

You using the Zealand face generation packs?
I’ve tried manually adding some using the fm.xml thing and it works ok but I find there’s a lack of certain ethnicities. Especially with black British players. It seems the only option is African which doesn’t really suit sometimes.
Yeah I've found it to be pretty decent so far. Only used it in the save though and not in England myself so not encountered that.
How do you filter for regens? You used to be able to do this with the editor but they’ve removed the option from player search.
There is a filter included in with everything in the face pack.
Finally back on the game after a nice little break. I clocked up like 300 hours in the month after release

So I couldn't help myself and I snapped up Teun Koopmeiners as well. My budget is basically gone now, but I do still need a RB, a striker and lesser priority CB.
Trying to sell some players but a lot of those that need moving on are well past their best so I'm barely getting £1m for them. Chelsea want Zaha though so might try and squeeze them for everything they've got and rebuild the rest of the squad with that.

I'm getting a weird thing with my game now. My first two games of the season were Utd and Liverpool and both put out incredibly weak XIs. I somehow only drew both games, but I noticed every single club is doing it. Also I cannot register a new signing, it just says Testing Changes Only.
Happened to me in my United save. It will sort itself out if it's the same thing. I had Liverpoola and Everton in my save and without realising smashed Everton 9-0 and only until afterwards did I look at their players did I realise.
So after getting out of my CL group for the 3rd time I've finally been given a decent draw in Shakhtar. The last two times I've had Chelsea (lost) and PSG (won and lost to Liverpool in QF).
Things are going pretty nicely. My biggest obstacle right now is nation and club trained players in the CL. I have players from all over the world an not really Austria as they're not really good enough yet.
