Gaming Football Manager 2016

First transfer window closed, and it's been freaking mental.

Keeper instantly tore his groin and missed most of the the pre-season and the first three games.
Best form winger broke his leg.
Lost half the games.
Mourinhio'd the only reasonably good left back at the club.

On the upside, managed to rebuild the staff into a powerhouse setup. Including a model professional HOYD! :drool:
 
Think I'm gonna start with Utrecht.

EDIT: Changed my mind. Going with AZ.

Just got FM16 Touch for my iPad and it's fecking good. Winning the league with Rosenborg. I somehow got Louis Reed and Maximiliano Romero :lol: gotta go, I'll be when I win the champions league :smirk:.
 
Tried starting a game as AZ but it drove me insane. Nearly all of my players subject to bids constantly and massive squad unharmony before we've kicked a ball. Going to start a new one as Ajax instead :lol:

Yeah this is mad. I've already lost Cillessen and Zivkovich is getting constant bids from Madrid. Nunnely and a load of others too. So frustrating.
 
Why do they always want to move too? In real life you get plenty of youngsters who realise they should stay where they are for a few seasons. I've got 17 year olds asking my why I didn't let them go to Arsenal or Valencia.
 
I think the game makes almost every player a traitorous little cnut to the player, to make it more challenging or some shite.

I mean, pick any team and play as them, players all want to feck off. Load another save with a different club a few years in, and check the first club, and they'll have pretty much the squad that all want to ditch you in the other save.
 
It's always annoyed me how you can't edit FMT. Would love to play it with this seasons updated squads.

AFAIK you can't anyway...
 
As far as my Lens save is concerned, I'm slightly worried.

Problem is I pretty much have a squad who will find it difficult to stay up, obviously I think we can and I'll do my best but the boards minimum expectation was mid table which is a bit :wenger::rolleyes:

They gave me 3 Million to spend, which I;ve stretched as far as it will go but I think they're expectations are a bit too blue sky.

I did manage to bring a few quality additions though as I alluded to previously. Patrick Roberts, Musonda and Guido Fofana were the main ones. Musonda and Roberts are loans and Fofana was bought for about 1 Mil who I liked because of his versatility in defence and midfield. Almost signed Umtiti from Barca but was short by 200k which was frustrating, didn't let me do the ol' adjust budget trick on that one. Also got Ghezzal from Lyon for about 300k which I think was a solid, depth signing.

ATM I'm two games into the current season, lost to Marseille and drew with Angers to gain my first point of the season. Will probably get a few hours later.
 
Start with transfer budgets off. Least you'll be free from any disharmony until January
 
Have to make the decision on what to do with the save. Intakes, Homegrown or just regular buying and selling. December and they gave me a 1.2m budget for January spending.

On the one side, we're doing well, bouncing between 3rd and 5th, with some decent looking prospects in our youth team, so I wouldn't mind sticking with youth only, on the other side, the team is falling apart, and I've barely enough fit players in the first team squad to make a matchday 18, and some of this bunch are 2nd division level.

Editor, proper youth intakes, and control over player tutoring, and I'd never need to play full fat ever again, everything else about FMT is better.

If half them turn good, we'll be doing well. van Melick and Coen Dijk look like they could be eventual first teamers.

Looks like we might make Europe too, been handily hanging in there between 3rd and 5th.

Dutch leage saves are great. My Utrect save is one of my favourite save ever.
 
Just finished my first season at Heereveen, somehow fluked 2nd and a shot at CL football, since everyone except Ajax had a terrible season. Also won the cup.

Still haven't made my mind up exactly where I want to go with the save. I have 2.5m to spend, if I decide against youth only. I don't think I can continue youth only either, with my best players wanting out and a weak squad to compete at the top of the league and with European fixtures. I mean, I doubt PSV, Feyernood etc are all going to finish on 60pts or less again....
 
Anyone got this problem before?
So I am playing with Man United, wanted to buy Laporte. He got a 35.5 mill release clause. I offered that amount and there's nothing. No response from Bilbao, nothing at all. I kept making offer, until the deadline day comes and got a message that there's not enough time to complete the transfer. When I look at his profile, my bid was listed.
But this happened not on all players. I can still buy Verrati, but I can't buy anyone else

Already have this lad line up from the FFA COE(:drool:).

I'm really tempted to Do another save with Goteborg myself.

The one I had on FM15/14 (can't remember :lol:) was probably a tie for my fave ever save.

I've only ever managed for like 6 months in Sweden, something I need to try again. The Scandinavian countries all seem fun tbh, had a cracker with Stabaek in Norway. Had developed this intense defensive/possession tactic that murdered everyone. Ended up beating Liverpool for the Europa, then next season pinched the CL despite my star player breaking his leg a week after signing.

Oh man it was so much fun. The Scandinavian players are class too and Finland/Norway/Denmark/Sweden produce so much talent, and at decent prices.

Best thing about that save was when I fist started I had a young striker (Gustav Engvall) who was absolutely phenomenal for me and one day I put something on twitter about me playing and mentioned him in it and he favourited and RT'd my tweet :lol::D

If I had tor any my best saves I'd go top 3:

Goteborg - FM14
PSV - FM15
Leverkusen - FM11

I usually have one great one per year, yet to achieve that but then again I've only played like 250 hours so far

I try to load all the Scandinavian countries, the talent there is ridiculous. Didn't this save, since I didn't expect to be bringing in players.

Well the number he had in my save and not the one in real life!
 
Literally the only thing that stopped me was difficulties ordering form there online Swedish store. I tried ordering form other places but it was just too extortionate :lol:

Now I mention it I might finally get one with his real number, would be cool and worth another RT from him I'm sure :cool:
 
Things are going well in Heevenveen, slight lead in the league, and sitting pretty atop our Europa group. In the CL we beat Basel, only to draw Valencia.... Dropped to the Europa and Basel are in our group.

Players trying to force exits, sometimes before other clubs have bid, feck off you cnut, nobody even wants you yet and you expect me to schill out a player I don't even want to lose.....

Yeah I managed to circumvent that when I played as PSV by playing on FMT. Hate turning down bids then the moaning starts and then the empire starts to crumble...

If I'm on FMT and someone bids and the player hands in a transfer request I just think to myself get fecked you're going nowhere you shit :lol:

Sadly we have no such power on the full version :(

Few times I've just chucked them in with the kids(Basitan'd, I believe it's called) until they calm their tits. Doesn't often work, mind.
 
Started a FMT save with Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Iceland loaded.

Not sure whether I start unemployed or try with Goteborg again. Gonna play when I get home form work and decide what to do before I get home

One thing I have decided is to do youth team or U21 signings. Probably gonna cap my max spend at maybe 5 Million.

Excited to get stuck in tomorrow
 
We're flying high in the league, so I decided I'd chuck in the backups in the cup and whatever happens, happens. Basically throwing the competition to focus and keep fit for league games.

We played Feyenoord, and this lad decides my plan is daft.

Went slightly berserk in transfer window. Led Watford to two top 4 finishes before being given the United job. Cleared a lot of deadwood. Some of the prices I got for players were laughable. The previous manager sent Martial on loan to Galatasaray.
