I never liked older players, until I played with Roma this year, and had Totti still firing 20 goals in the 2nd season(was disappointed he retired), and De Rossi beasting it at 37-38. Both slow as shit, but it was almost completely irrelevant.

How did you get that out of Totti? My biggest disappointment in FM (back from 12 onwards) is persisting with Totti even though he's playing utter shit. He only really scored penalties for me and used to get really low ratings.

I tried him in a lot positions but got nothing out of him. I used to be glad when he retired so I can get him out the team!

He's decent as a DLF with 2 wingers beside him, but using Destro right away pays off more.

Destro starts out on loan at Milan. They have Doumbia though. I played with Milan just as a 'tester' to FM15, Destro spent more time injured than playing unfortunately.

Still hate the damn interface.

In real-life he's only been loaned out in the January window. Is he really loaned out from the beginning? If so, it's a shit update and I hate the January transfer update even more.

Yeah, every winter transfer/loan is added in as a summer transfer. Has been like that since I can remember. When playing, Destro is very good but I haven't trusted him for a couple of FM's. Gets injured every other game.

Well, then that update is pretty poor IMO.

Had no big injury problems with Destro, but sold him after a few seasons, for 50M something to Liverpool IIRC, I bought Bonazzoli at the beginning and he played alongside Destro. Bonazzoli, because he was the best Italian striker talent I could get and I played with a only-Italians "rule".
 
So after a break I finished my third season with Southampton, managed to win the league and fa cup. Notable results include a 5-0 win over Arsenal and two 5-1 wins over City and Chelsea in the fa cup. Depay won poty, but the award should have gone to Henriquez. Bought for 10 million after scoring 17 in 17 on loan at Villa, he was amazing from start to finish, finished with 31 goals from 35 games in all. Only problem is he seems to be injured quite often, going to have to find a backup striker since Pelle is ageing and RVP's loan finished.

Disappointedly went out of Europe in the quarter finals of the the champions league, on away goals vs Chelsea. One more year needed I think, and then I'll start a game in 15.3. Probably with somebody like Anderlecht.
 
Yep, it's nonsense. At least somebody like Depay sometimes scores them, Lucas Ocampos started shooting like 14-18 times a game for me, with maybe only one ever on target, and I couldn't coach it out of him so he had to be sold. Shame, because before he started doing it (it just started happening) he was an assist machine.

Surprisingly easily. False 9 with Inside Forwards either side.

Destro was mostly shit for me, alright as a left Inside Forward, still sold the fecker to PSG for 50m or something.
 
Alvaro Morata. Signed purely because he was so cheap (transfer listed 1.7m start of 2nd season) and he's doing alright in real life, as he was only rated 2.5 stars. Hat trick on his reserve debut so give him a game. Hat trick on his first team debut. 14 goals in 12 games later and he's rated 4.5 stars.
 
Just realized I havent lost a single game when Im down to 10 men. I dont know how my team does it. I have got a red card in 9 games so far and everyone one of them I have won. Also I get the red card mostly in the first half too.

I had the same, Nigel De Jong got sent off a lot, and sometimes I couldn't be bothered even filling his role, but would grab a 1-0 win or hold on to a draw.
 
I've noticed that my team concede a load of goals after the 80 minute mark. What can I do to stop it?

Develop a time wasting safe tactic alongside your main one, in tight games when you are ahead you can deploy that and lessen the chance of conceeding. Copy your current tactic and just make the adjustments you would expect, drop the defensive line, lower tempo, safer football, time wasting etc.

Yeah, it's something that gets asked for every year. It's a pain when the ball gets booted miles away, the player takes ages to go pick it up. :lol:

Is there actually a 'time waste' option specifically in the tactics? I know there used to be in previous FM games but I can't seem to find it in this one.

I think you have to be playing at a lower tempo for it to show up in the PI list.

EDIT: Sorry, it's defensive you have to be playing.
 
Has anyone ever had more than 23 scouts?
 
My scouting set up, all on one monthly rotational basis. Anywhere I'm missing that spouts out good regens? When I get more scouts I'm going to look into Australia, South Africa, India, Central America, and I'm not sure where else really.

I finished up the one I was on, then done a season with Wolfsburg, and am now playing a career with Stabaek in the Norwegian top division. Cracking fun save too, developed a nice possession system.
 
Haven't played at all yet. Played a couple of matches on Pro Evo yesterday, but that's all the time I've had for games this last week :(

A game in the Bundesliga could be fun, ending Bayerns dominance.

I think I might start a game as Crystal Palace later on.
 
I know it's an option in the game, but I've never ever come across this in live play before...

So, when I started a game as Desportivo Brasil, this guy was already there, generated by the AI. Had a fantastic season in the lower divisions of the Sao Paulo Championship as we cruised to the title unbeaten, but now I've got other teams sniffing around him. And not just middling Serie B/C sides. The likes of Corinthians, Cruzeiro and CSKA are showing an interest.

I thought this seemed odd, so I checked his PA with the in-game editor. 190! :eek:

The hilarious part is if you were the bigger club instead, the AI would demand £30million for him because it magically knows his potential.
