Gaming Football Manager 2015

Also, we're in the second season and the top two are Newcastle and Tottenham, by some margin. This is after Everton won the league last year, with Spurs coming in second, me in third and Newcastle in fourth. Chelsea came in seventh and sacked Mourinho. I'm not years down the line, either, this was the first year of the game. Talk about realism.

Player awareness in this game is shockingly shite. It's probably just the 3D engine being unable to properly represent what it's trying to, but the number of times players just stand there whilst the ball dribbles past them, or miss a blatantly obvious pass to instead turn around and pass backwards, or run through treacle when chasing a cross or a through ball allowing all the defender to catch up and overtake them is ridiculous.

I havent experienced it very much tbh. Which team are you on? I think things like off the ball ratings and your tactics might contribute to that sort of thing happening.

In light of the Spurs game... here's Kane for me this season. Got rid of Rooney to Arsenal for 18.25m and stopped loaning Falcao.

How on Earth are you paying him £25k p/w? He wanted £160k when I tried to sign him in 2018!

Since I want to start from a lower league team and work my way up to the big leagues, I decided to go with PSV. Im loving the start to the season. Signed Yoshida for £1M, Odegaard for £1.8M and Hordveidt for £3.5m. I was so desperate to sign a midfielder, I even put in an offer for our Anderson. That fecker thought it was below his level to come play in the dutch league. Anyways 10 games into the season I haven't lost a game and scoring goals for fun. Im averaging 5-6 goals every game in the league. I ve scored 51 goals in the first 10 games and my front four is raping every single defense in the league.

Luuk De Jong

Depay-----Maher-----Wiljnaldum

Bit of tinkering around with Spurs, and their lineup is really only a few signings and a few years away from being one of the best in the world. I've brought in a few players to speed up the process and all that's really missing now is a world class center midfielder.

--------------------------Kane
Depay----------------Siggurdson-----------Lamela
----------------Romero---------Dembele
Rodriguez-----Vertonghen-----Balanta-----Walker
----------------------------Lloris

Buy Gaston gil Romero.

Depending how early you are in the game, you could also try for Ruben Navas. Gil Romero and Kranevitter are no trainers though. Combined they cost around 10 million and they will last you for a decade. If you get bored you can easily get 60 million for the pair of them.

Lucas Boye is also great from River, for only 5 million. Takes him around 6 months or so to adapt, but then becomes a machine.

Yep. Bought him for £2m, 23 games, 11 goals and 8 assists later I sold him to United for £25m.

Lucas Boye is ridiculous! Hmm, any formation with two strikers and two CM's would be doing well with Kranevitter, Romero, GGRomero, Lucas Boye and Guido Vadala. Freaking rack of ridiculous Argies this year.

Kranevitter, he's possibly even better than Gil Romero.

They have the same potential but Gaston is more consistent and better in big games, he is also a CM while Kranevitter is more a DM. But both are very good.

Either can be trained as CM or DM as they're accomplished at their non-natural position it won't take long either. Despite being a CM, GGRomero is more defensive, and Kranevitter more of a playmaker. Still, plenty of room for either to develop into whatever.

Just looked at Vadala, looks the best of the lot! Unfortunately I don't play with an AMC. I wonder if it'd be worth the gamble to bring him in and retrain him to be an advanced playmaker or roaming playmaker in CM...

Or a striker, he's incredible as a striker.

He's only rated as a 2* as a striker, putting him behind Mitrovic and Cerny (and a 17y/o regen I've just signed who's coming in next season). His stats look great there, for some reason my coaches just don't rate him. They probably need sacking.

I want to sign him, just need an excuse! Could be sold on for mega bucks if I can use him well.

I agree with you, I like both. But the reason I didn't mentioned him is because I don't know what season @jakec is playing and since Gil Romero is the last to quit Argentina he is also the one who keeps a low price the longer, he signed Romero which means that Kranevitter is probably playing for Ajax.

Kranevitter is a great regista or half-back. But Gil Romero is marginally worse in those positions and is an absolute beast in CM too.

The coaches overly focus on how capable a player is in a position, and their CA, too much. Tbh, how trained a player is in a position makes little difference really.
Anyway, last save I had him on, he developed into a world class striker(possibly the best I've ever had, barring ridiculous regens). I'm sure as an attacking CM, or advanced playmaker from CM he'd do very well.

Fair enough, they're both worth a scout at the very least.

Carlos Fierro is another one, a bit more expensive though. A release clause of 10 million, but one of the best strikers in the game.

Alternatively, Pavel Savitskiy, was hitting 30+ goals a season for me at one point. He can be pretty much got for free and within 3 seasons he resembles a prime Thierry Henry

Yeah you're right. I've got him anyway, only £8m. He even accepted a rotation role in his contract! Sure he'll be a great buy, thanks for the recommendation.

I've now got a team of Cerny, Stones, Barkley, Vadala and two ridiculous regens. Ridiculous.

He was barely starting for Spurs when I got him during the pre-season window. Paid 13m for him :D He's an absolute beast after being tutored by Persie. I play him as the most advanced striker as AF backed up by Lewan and Persie as Deep Lying attackers. Lewan I signed for 42m (bargain).

Needless to say you're set for a while! :D

Hope it helps!

I can't find this option dude. I play classic mode if that helps...

Only thing I can find is on individual player settings and the only zonal option is "mark 6 yard box zonally".

Why are any of you signing Kane at all? Absolute pants in my save and released on a free by Spurs when his contract expired.

Can't imagine his CA/PA is great at the moment, best to wait until SI release the mid season update an he'll have a hefty boost.

It all depends. I got him after my second season at United and he scores for fun while chipping in with a decent amount of assists after I told Persie to tutor him. Go back a couple pages to see my screenshot. I'll post an updated one when I'm home in a few hours for the West Ham game because he's scored even more as my third season has progressed.

He's showing a nice return alright but his stats aren't impressive and we both know there's a large amount of awesome wonderkid strikers in this game.

Do they usually do that? I thought the update was transfers only. Didn't think they touched PA/CA mid-season.

Why is Marcus Rashford so good in my save?

He's awesome in mine too. Well, he was coming along likely until he suffered a leg break which seriously put his development back.

Usually transfers, match engine and a few bugs. Think the stand out players get a change in stats or something, IIRC Januzaj got a huge boost this time last year? @Earthquake

Oh I agree with you about his stats. But I tend to stay away from signing the usual wonder kids anyway. Besides, he's working out really well in my save so I'm not too concerned about who I could've had. At 13m, he's been a real steal for me.

It's the same with my midfield. The only people I've brought in are Strootman and Ribeiro. I've kept Cleverley and Nani since they came back on loan after my first season and they've performed really well in my set up. I know there are better options out there but why change what's working?

That's what you want, set 4-5 players to do that, and they'll be set in a zonal marking line.

It's actually not bad, and I've heard of plenty of FM players who buy him and adore him, but I can certainly see both getting a kick, especially CA.
He has more CA/PA than the star striker in my current save, Andrea Belotti, who scores and assists for fun.
Why is Marcus Rashford so good in my save?
Why wouldn't he be? Good prospect.

Yeah, Januzaj and Marquinhos were the notable two.

Januzaj was moved from -9 to -10, Marquinhos from -10 to -9, along with Januzaj's CA and attributes getting a big push.

Januzaj is a set 178, Marquinhos a set 172
