You been playing him out wide or up front? When I had him I used him upfront, either as a Treq or Poacher & he scored fecking loads for me.
Well I've tried doing a homage to LVG and I'm playing a 3-4-1-2 with Sneijder in behind Benteke and Borini, it's taking a while for the whole team to click to be fair. I'll keep persisting with him as a Treq.
Yesterday I played Arsenal four times in a row somewhere in April. CL 1st leg, league cup, Prem, CL 2nd leg.
Combined that Steam FC thing with the Free Transfer database that was floating around a while back. Signed 33 players, all under 24. Currently sat top of Skrill South after winning every game so far. Scored 100 goals in the 13 games I've played so far, with the lowest margin of victory being 4-0 and the biggest 15-0. Bit disappointed to have conceded 2 in that time though. Think I'm in for an easy few seasons if the players all hang around.

A bug might just mean I lose my best player for free. I have an attacking midfielder (regen) whose PA is 199, its currently at 188. Last season I refused bids from Valencia, he wanted to leave for some reason. I told him I would win the league, and he agreed he would stay if we won the league! We win the league and he hands in a transfer request because I didn't keep my promise?! Now, approaching January he has 6 months left on his contract and is refusing to sign a new deal because of this 'unkept' promise. Ridiculous.

How do you know the PA of your players?

You can use things like Genie Scout to check the PA. Sort of ruins the point of the game if you use it though. I only have a look when I'm abandoning a game to see how people were doing. Abandoned a United game where Adnan had

at Juve. You basically don't need scouts if you use something like GS though so it ruins the fun of building your own mega scouting network.

In game editor. I use it for CA/PA checks or moving good free agents around to teams who might need them. I got a little tired of seeing so many good players go without clubs for months, especially goalkeepers. The likes of Cabella, M'villa, Ashley Cole, Gotze, Victor Valdes would just be disappearing from the game due to no one signing them.
Anyway my player decided to move to Valencia after being offered contracts from: Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Porto, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd, PSG, Monaco and Juventus. Guess serves me right for just paying him £10k a week. Annoying bug though.

Never got round to getting the full version this year, I play FMH14 and FM13, but I've bought FM14 today as it was £4.99, it's rude not to.

I started doing the World League database, took the job at Wolves who are in the World 18th league, Board set expectation of 10th, was rough going at the start but by Christmas I was 10 points on top, managed to only scrape winning the league by 3pts in the end.
Luckly all my best players the next day, handed in transfer requests cause they want to be in a high league, it's going to be a fun start next year too by the looks of it :/.

Still looking for a new save to sink my teeth into, got annoyed at Bolton, due to an easy season start, I landed easily in a CL spot after a month. Then proceeded to take a kicking from City(3-1) and instantly team morale nosedives, and turns to complete shite, despite still exceeding expectations by a large margin.
Poking around at Wigan now, just massively upgraded all staff, and looking for a sweeper.

I went for Everton now they've got Lukaku. Planned to build a team around Lukaku, Barkley and Stones, going well so far...won the league 1st season

.Robin van Persie is having a great second season in my save, but accepted a bid when I managed to get Real Madrid to up their bid from 20m to 26m pounds in january, the best part is that they let me keep him out the season. He has been incredible this season, but 26m is too much to decline for a 31-year old, who will be 32 after the season. Will be nice to offload his 250k p/w wages too.
Also, Zinedine Zidane is the manager of QPR. And Man City (currently in 2nd or 3rd) has gone 26 games without losing, 13 wins, 13 draws. It's starting to get ridiculous.

7 games into the 2nd season and I've already lost more games then the entire 1st season. Hate the lack of realism in this at times.

Gone to the other extreme for me now. Just tanked Lyon 7-2 in the CL, Kagawa (on loan) bagged 5.
I've been playing this with my young son. He barely know's whats going on and I admit I know absolutely stuff all as well. I started with United and I am up to 2021. They just got taken over and de-listed from the stock exchange. Thought this would be worth a mention because; you know.. It's insane.

That is crazy. Most I've ever seen is in my current save, were I'm getting a transfer kitty of just over 400 each season. Though that is largely due to me only buying young up and coming players and looking to develop them instead of buying older players. Currently got 21 home grown players in my first team squad
That is pretty neat. One of my mates showed me a tedious trick of going around to young players at intake and snapping them up. It's a boat load of 4.5 star players being trucked out of Argentina and Brazil regularly. None of the big Euro teams youngsters ever want to leave.
yeh, if you find the players before they go to a big european club they can be picked up cheap. Though trying to pinch a potential wonderkid from any of the big boys usually costs stupid money. Though I'm now at the point where the team is starting to challenge them all in the champions league at least, just struggling to rotate them all as I have to many wide attackers. Still can't find a decent full back though.
I've found this to be a big problem with this edition of FM. Especially when I was managing Australia, I lost countless players to early retirements because their A-League contracts expired and no one signed them for 6+ months. My best youth prospect retired at 20 because he was without a club for so long...

Does anyone else feel too many of their team's goals are scored from corners?
Quite the opposite. I've got too much corners, too little goals from them. Then again, my team is not exactly the tallest in the league.
I'd say yes. I seem to score and conceed plenty from corners. Though I wouldn't say that is an issue just with this year, I've always found CB to get a decent chunk of goals from corners in plenty of the previous versions as well.

Tutor, no.
Retrain, yes, kind of. The cpu automatically trains them on important stats, or roles if you strictly play them in a specific role. If you play them in a position they're not natural at, the cpu will also position train them. Converted a good striker to a worldie AML/IF this way once.
Almost finished the 2016/17 season with Newcastle now, absolutely incredible season. Beat the 128 goals scored from Aston Villa in 1930/31 and still 2 games to play. Also, the Champions League final still to play. FA Cup already won against Bournemouth. If I win the triple I'll probably work on building a mostly english side for the coming seasons.

I guess only in standard, afaik Classic isn't editable, officially at least.
You could edit players in some areas with FMEL, but not create them.
Help me with this @Earthquake. I have just got the DVD of the game and planning to install it in my current laptop. But I will be buying another laptop in a few months time, so would I be able to use this current disk to install the game in another laptop? Much thanks!
I believe even the disc version uses Steam, so once you add it to your account you can play it on any PC.
