Not really, there is a hidden characteristic from 1 to 20, like first touch or long shots. There is random every time, of course, but it is based on that parameter.

He goes more often than other players - Iraq seems to have all this strange tournaments in the middle of the season they're making a bomb!

When I was managing So'ton the first four games were Chelsea, United, City and Arsenal. I was shitting my pants going into the season.

Started with Bilbao. Didn't make any transfers, because obviously.

Playing a very high line, pressing all over the play and using 2 wide forwards and 2 wing backs. I've beaten Osasuna and Espanyol 5-0 each and Celta 4-0 but lost 8-2 to Real Madrid. I think I need to develop a secondary tactic.
 
Started an international only save as England manager. Obviously, first thing I did was publicly sack Gerrard as captain in my first press conference.

Sounds like some of the players I've had in the past. Want to leave, but convince them they can achieve their goals at the club. Agree that if we don't win the league I will let them leave. Win the league at a canter and into the semi's of the champion league, yet they still put in a transfer request saying we haven't achieve the target :(

How are you doing with Yeovil. Hell of a challenge! I suppose you could solve the lack of revenue with TV money if if you got into the prem but i found the champship hard because the stadium is so small and it's a low rep club.
 
I usually operate with a squad of 22 in Serie A. Just got Torino into the euro cup after 5 seasons. What size squad would you lot recommend?

I've always liked to have 2 players for every position. That way you can rotate easily. Any more than that and I find it is to hard to give everyone enough game time

That is what I usually go with. There will be a few more game this season though, might go with 23.

In other news Evans is just starting his 20th playing season at United :drool:. Kagawa just had his testominal too after 12 years of service too.
 
My European adventure is getting exciting. 3rd in the CL, and into the First KO's of the Europa, the board had no further expectations for the Europa than that, but a relatively easy draw of Beskitas(0-0a followed by 2-0h), put me in the Second KO's.

Shakhtar, who had just taken out Atletico. Wedged in between was a rivalry game in the league.
First leg, they dominated me(and my attacking 4-2-1-2-1/4-3-3 setup) a the Red Bull Arena, coming out comfortable 0-2 winners. Thought it was over.
Still, fecked out the second string in the rivalry game(Rapid Wien), 2-2 draw, acceptable, I'm 8 points clear, 2 games in hand.
Second leg, (shifted to my control diamond) Shakhtar score after half an hour, that sinking feeling, but no! Batshuayi with an instant reply, Nyom burns their fullback(complete wing back:drool:) and fires in a cross, Rakitskyi OG. 1-2 lead at HT, away, we actually have a chance. So, I give the boys a little spice, and ask for revenge. They supplied.

3 for Batshuayi(his first hatty), 2 for Rotariu(playing out of position as a DLF(s) striker), and of course the OG.
2 assists for Kampl, one for Rotariu, and one for Nyom.
Defence were immense to hold them to 1, out of 19 shots(7 were decent chances).
Shakhtar's crossing chart looks hauntingly familiar.....

Kyrgiakos and his pure defensive powers will be missed when he retires this season, hope to keep him as a coach, regardless of talent at it.

Not played in weeks. Always have played loads at once then not played at all for ages. I guess I just play till I get bored then come back refreshed.
 
I'm in 2026, and Grant Holt has just been appointed Man Utd manager :lol:
 
The board upgrade on my training facilities that the new board offered is in place, and they were at the 3rd stage, but skipped straight to Top! :drool:

Also, I have top youth facilities, a great HOYD(need to try for a worldie), well established recruiting, and a better set of youth coaches than most clubs have for their first team. Regen day comes along, bollocks, one that might be useful as backup. Then they complain about my team being full of foreigners.... I have that one worldie potential Austrian wide mid(converting to AMR), but he's German born, playing for the German youth team.

Anyone know how to be able to offer Head Of Youth Development guys more wage, don't seem to be able to ask the board like I can for all other staff types.....
 
Second season for RB Salzburg end quite fantastically, an improvement on the season before.
The league, won more comfortably, gaining the points record off of rivals Austria Wien(cleaned up in less important records too), the only blot, a single loss, I was *this* close to having a complete domestic Invincible Season.
The cup, provided little challenge, which was handy for rotation.
Champions League, reaching the group was my goal, tight scrape but achieved, loosing one group game was great, winning one group game, not so much.
Europa, dropped for my 3rd place CL group place, I was given no further goal than the first round, reaching the quarter finals was brilliant, lost to Leverkusen on away goals, should have beaten them tbh.

Players
Batshuayi, despite breaking my main transfer rule this save, sell high, buy low, I'm delighted, 32 goals and 9 assists will do that. :D
Kyrgiakos, was again a lynchpin for all I achieved, his retirement will be a potentially serious issue.
Lazaro's injury left me needing a replacement, he's recovered now, with no serious loss of quality, but finds himself short a spot in the team, I'm light enough on Austrians as is.
Diarra, his major injury has ruined him, contract near up, but I don't want to leave him out in the cold. Trying to get him as a coach, but he wants 5 or 6 times what most of my other coaches get.
Kids stepped up, some games had multiple 15 year olds as starters, and they regularly looked right at home.

Transfers, all I need are a left back(even a 2nd choice will do), and a centre back to replace Kyrgiakos, might try and blow my wadge on Dragovic if he's interested. I have a current CB that can step in at LB, and a young Belgian CB who could possibly be promoted as 4th choice.

If I can keep the squad together otherwise, I think I could get past a fair CL group, or at least make a serious push in the Europa.

Its bullshit, they have only won once, in 13th place, and my team literally forgets how to play football against them. I mean how can every result be a loss. EVERY result, when I holiday it or play it, ends up in a loss. Its bullshit, I change my tactics and formation and the same thing. I'm sorry, but what the hell is going on with this game, do SI even care about making a decent product anymore.

What's the point in cheating?
 
My 3rd summer probably couldn't have gone better, all things considered. My Junior Coaching was upped to max(Exceptional), though I still need to get my recuitment past Well Established.
Kyrgiakos has joined my coaching setup, along with a few more top coaches and scouts, I still think I need a better HOYD, though apparently my current guy is World Class.

I spent 14m on Dragovic(directly slots in for Kyrgiakos), ridiculous, but the fans went wild(said well below his true value), and he helps my woeful Austrian contingent.
Lazaro was sold to Arsenal, for way more than he was worth, and I got a loan back, to help home grown for the CL/Europa. Next season Cardozo and Casasola will count as homegrown(and still U21, IIRC)
Sadly, Stanciu had to go, Man Utd threw an 8m bid at me and toys when out of the pram. Talked it up to 15.5m though! Season and a half, 11.5m gain, I'll take that! He was replaced from within, my 2nd choice AMR becomes my first choice CM(natural in both), and a youth I bought from Australia during the season becomes my new 2nd AMR.
Gaston Gil Romero was sold for 5.5m(bought for 4), and replaced with the definitely more suitable for my squad Leonardo Capezzi, on a free.

I thought I was done at that, besides shuffling youth about and and selling a few players I didn't have use for(one African CB I paid 100k for went for 5.5m :drool:), until after a match that I complained at the players, I got in a fight with my 2nd RB, Ankersen, so I bought the mighty 24 year old regen from Stuttgart, and he was ditched in the transfer list..... to Stuttgart.

Works out as a highly improved squad, withouth changing the starting 11 much, for a gain of 12m in my transfer budget(and I only get 80% of sales).
The top teams seem to think I'm some kind of player factory. Almost every single player in my squad received bids, the likes of Rotariu 40 or 50 bids over the window. I'm lucky most stayed happily with me, even if one or two needed a new contract or quick chat. Bafflingly, the single player to get no bids was Batshuayi, coming off a magical season, and so far this season has 10 in 10......
 
Went with a Juve game as I wanted something easy to start off with, then I'll move on to more of a challenge after a few seasons. Pissed the league as expected, was good fun though.

Shame I didn't go unbeaten as I really should have, Napoli loss was to a last minute goal and feck knows what happened at Verona, we were just shite. Don't think Bari like playing me, beat them 6-0 away and 9-0 at home! :lol:

Domestic cup went well, CL was shocking though, bit like Juve in real life in that sense, think I might try win that before I leave Italy.

Llorente was just incredible, him and Tevez were both on fire for a while, Tevez dropped off a bit mid-season though and went on a shite run. Had Llorente as a TM(A) and Tevez as a Trequartista.

Llorente won Serie A Player Of The Year, Pogba won the Young one. Picked up manager of the year & had 8 of my team in the Team Of The Year so aye, was a pretty good season all round. :lol:

Not too sure I can really upgrade my first XI tbh, gonna shift a few of the players who didn't play much like Marchisio, Peluso, Eto'o(on an updated DB so got him on a free at the start, was shit though.) Not too sure what to do with Vidal either as clubs are sniffing around him and although on paper he should be my best player he just didn't perform at all and Verratti & Pogba are going to be my first choice midfield for as long as I'm here as they'll only get better so I might actually sell him if I can get somewhere around £50m for him. Might move Lichtensteiner on aswell as although he was good he's getting on & his stamina is shite, can get Peruzzi on the cheap so I'll bring him in to replace him. Got Nkoulou coming in for £11m so I think I'll let Barazgli go as I'll have Chiellini/Bonucci/Ogbonna/Doria/Nkoulou so I don't really need him and he's on a decent wage. Gonna bring in a striker as I have nobody aside from Llorente & Tevez to play there. Might try and pick Bony up as I've used him before and he was great as a Target Man and as a Treq so he'd fit in well to replace either if needed, will probably buy Sassuolo's 50% of Berardi now too so he's an option. Pirlo's signed on for one more season but I think I'll let him go after that as he's getting old, not sure what I'm gonna do though as I don't have a direct replacement ready and there's no one who really fits the bill tbh, will have to maybe look for a regen or retrain Verratti to a DM and keep hold of Vidal.
 
How is Asamoah at DM? I'd assume not as creative as Pirlo, but could he pop in there? Might be able to replace him at WBL with Alex Sandro, who'd own the entire side of the pitch.

Played him there twice when Pirlo was out and he did alright, inclined to stick with him on the left though as he's been quality so far. Looked at getting Sandro in January but Porto wanted, and still want, over £30m so I cba forking out that much. Was looking at Bernat too, has a £17m release clause but I reckon I could unsettle him and get him a bit cheaper.

Matic hasn't played at Chelsea as always and he usually gets transfer listed after the first season so if he does I think I'll just pick him up.

Ahhh, feck that, used to be you could get him for a few mil in the early seasons.

Matic is a great shout, probably the best DM in the game(best Anchorman at least...), though I'm starting to believe it's a tie with Adam Vass, who's been shockingly good every time I've used him.

Dunno what to do. Just been given my budget for this season and it's £60m so I don't really need the cash but £42million is a lot, especially when it's all up front. Didn't even expect them to offer it, they came in with £28m so I just set it at £45m with the hope they'd feck off but now they've offered me that I dunno what to do. Gonna see how much I can get Alex Sandro & Bernat for now and decide from there.

edit/ Apparently I can get Bernat for under £4m. :eek: Didn't fancy losing Asamoah but I can get Sandro & Bernat in for around £22m & still have £20m left over so I'll have to let him go.
 
Aye it's mental money, didn't expect it! Picked up Bernat for £4m and should get Alex Sandro too if his agent decides to stop being a cnut. Eto'o is off to Leverkusen for about 500k so atm I'm stuck with just Llorente & Tevez. Had PSG bidding for Llorente and he kicked up a fuss when I rejected £30m, didn't hand in a transfer request though so I should be able to hold on to him without him complaining.
 
Would like a new winger but struggling to decide between Depay and Iturbe. Any suggestions?
 
feck got the England job as well now. I was a little bored of club football so I wanted an international job. Just wished it had happened last year because I left Dortmund and joined Madrid. Now my seasons are going to be twice as long.
