I don't know what my defence have been taking but I've only conceded once in my last 20 games.
 
rofl Rooney just missed a penalty in the 5th and 20th minutes. So I took him off pens for the rest of the game, only for him to score twice in the first, so I had to put him back as the taker just incase, he didn't need a penalty for the hat-trick he got...but he then succeeded getting two hat-tricks by doing a Palermo with a third miss in the 88th minute. Won the game 6-0 and non of the penalties were rebounded or anything.

Also became the new record scorer in that game, some way to do it :lol:
 
Why is it always silly teams that breaks streaks?

Not my current game, but I once had Adler on an 11 game clean sheet streak, broken by Stoke.

I finally won the Champions League :D

Real Madrid beat me in the Final in 2011 on penalties, I got knocked out in he quarters by Juve in 2012 and now have beaten Madrid in the Final in 2013. Mesut Ozil got the winner in the 93rd minute to make it 2 - 1 :drool:
 
Moussa Sissoko has been an awesome signing for me. Signed for £15m

12 goals in 24 games from midfield. (5th highest scorer in the league)
Second in the distance covered thing. (Behind Kieran Richardson, strangely)

Only 20 :D
 
HELP!!! I've just gone to load up FM and I've been getting these error messages, is there anything I can do to save my game?

Forgive me if this is stating the obvious but if you are just having problems starting the software then you can uninstall and then reinstall the game without losing your saved games, back them up just in case though. That usually sorts out any problems.
 
Ah quality, cheers lads. One more quick question, How do I backup my saves first?
 
Or just save the games on a cloud, such as DropBox. You can then play the same game on any computer. Not that I play it from work - that would be wrong.
 
My Hoffenheim side are flying! I'm 9 points clear after 25 games, and have just beat both the second and third placed sides (Bayern and Wolfsburg) 1-0.

I had to pawn off Obasi for under what I'd have liked (9.75) to Stoke, of all fecking clubs. 'Cos the cnut said he wanted to win fecking trophies.... Motherfecker we're on top of the fecking league! I had a bid of 12 million from Liverpool about a week earlier, but he couldn't get a permit. Then he played two games for Nigeria and was fine to sign for Stoke for less. What a joke.

Ah well, I signed Artem Milevskyi (sp?) as a replacement and he's been excellent so far. Now I just need to tie down Demba Ba, hopefully if I win the league or at least finish with a place in Europe he'll want to stay.
 
Is that the 1st. season cesc's?

At the beginnig of my 5th season with Milan (2018 I think). We've won every single game so far. 6-7 league games and 2 CL games. Did yet another clearout at the window and this time it really feels right regarding the mixture of players I have. Had to let go of a few of my beloved regens - no point of keeping them just for the sake of it.

5th season and I still haven't got beyond the quarter finals in the CL(!). Still, 3 consecutive league titles. My next game is against Salernitana, who's got my best friend Ryan Giggs as their manager. I'd hired him as a coach in the 2nd season with milan. They were in the Serie B and he's got them up after a season and half.
 
Yeah it's my first season, I don't know if the run will continue... But the team's playing extremely well ATM.

Take special note of the 9.3 performance from Ochoa. I don't think I've ever played a game against Arsenal where he hasn't made a feckload of wonder saves.
 
Speaking of Ochoa, my fans blasted me when I signed him, calling him a waste of money.

He hasn't conceded a goal yet this season. I'm currently rocking back and forth, muttering "they said I was mad!"

Wes Brown is now 35, but every time I play him at RB he gets 7.8/7.9 ratings without fail.

Almost makes me want to put him as first choice, but I couldn't do that to Rafael.
 
Tevez scored 8 goals in City's 8-1 win away to Fulham on my game :lol: It's the end of March and he had 2 goals in 24 league starts before 8 in 1 game :wenger:
 
I hate when you set to overload in the last 10 or so minutes and get the team to Pump Ball Into Box, etc... yet they do feck all. Like absolutely nothing happens in those minutes. Not even a shot.
 
Lukaku just tore his calf muscle and will be out for 4-5 months, just as he was starting to get good for me. Typical! Thought about buying a new striker in January, now I definitely will.

I've had worse before. I once had a run-in in my FM08 game that was:

Lazio (H) Italian Cup Semi-Final (Lazio 3rd in Serie A)
Arsenal (A) Champions League Semi-Final (Arsenal 1st in Premier League)
Inter (A) Serie A (Inter 4th in Serie A)
Arsenal (H) Champions League Semi-Final
Lazio (A) Serie A (postponed an umpteenth number of times because Lazio went all the way in the then-UEFA Cup)
Lazio (A) Italian Cup Semi-Final
Juventus (A) Serie A (Juventus 2nd in Serie A)
Lazio (H) Serie A
Juventus (N) Champions League Final
Juventus (N) Italian Cup Final

The 4 matches before the Champions League Final were all played with 2 days rest in between. I did get lucky by beating Arsenal comfortably in the second-leg, pulling off 3 of my star players in the 60th minute or so, before throwing out some kids which resulted in 4 nervous games (all wins :cool: - Lazio's morale was pretty low after getting knocked out of the UEFA Cup. Forcing a heavy win in the first of the three fixtures really helped). Then hammered Juventus after a week's rest in the Champions League Final, and morale was so low after that match in the Juventus camp I beat Juventus with kids at full-back and defensive midfield in the Italian Cup Final.

There was quite a bit of a gulf in quality between myself and Juventus, admittedly, but the fixture list stank of bribery.

Lazio and Juventus had to play each other in the run-in too, which Lazio came off fairly badly from (by the end of the season, the Lazio manager, a former player of mine, was under pressure from the board thanks to all the losses).
 
I'm surprised x42 hasn't worked out some sort of algorithm to win every game on this yet.
 
Bahaha currently playing a pre-season friendly against Rosenborg, and am up 6-2 in the 35th minute. fecking hell!

Ba was very good in my first season, scored 14 league goals and had about 8 assists in 30 games. I used him off the bench in the back end of the season as he was still wanting a move away, so I let Ibisevic and Milevskyi take care of business. I ended up winning the league by about 4 points... After being 8 ahead with 4 games left.

Second season now, and I've signed: Diego Buouanotte (£8m), Ognjen Vukojevic (£12m), Juan Manual Vargas (£12m), Manuel Blasi (on a free), Iker Munial (£900k) and Jukka Raitala (£1.6m - though he was on loan with me all last season). I've got a big squad now, and am trimming down. But it has to be big to compete on all fronts... I doubt I'd have won the League if I was competing in Europe last season, my players were almost always fresh.

As I type I'm now 8-3 up in the 70th. And that's with me changing my whole side at half time.
 
Munian didn't turn out too great for me in my game. Lukaku on the other hand now is class after a few years of looking like he wasn't going to develop.
 
Also, what the feck's up with signing young kids? I get my offers accepted, then I HAVE to offer them youth contracts so they'll join me straight away (obviously want them to develop in my side) - but the punks want more money, I've got no problems with that, but to offer bigger cash they need to sign pro-deals... Which means they can't join until they're 17... Which is teo seasons away! EFF!

Is there any way around this?

Don't you sign them on a professional contract, but they still join your club immediately? It just means when they turn seventeen they'll get that deal. That's how it always used to work, anyway.

Hrm, I'm not too fussed. He was transfer-listed at £900k, and I prefer to have a young striker as my 4th choice so I figured I haven't got anything to lose - I'll make a profit if I eventually flog him off. He's rated 3.5 stars in mine, which is one more than the fabled Buouanotte!

Ha! Well aren't I an idiot... I knew I was being stupid for some reason... I was wondering how the feck I signed all the youth players on my other sides! :lol:

Yeah those are annoying when you get the big 4 with the CL stuff. I don't know why they always put the big 4 next to eachother in the schedules all the time, like I'm playing as Everton and I just had to play Man Utd-Arsenal-Chelsea-Man City, Liverpool were after Arsenal as well but it got delayed because I drew in the FA Cup...
 
Add Rio, Nani and Fabio to my long-term injury list now. Getting fecking stupid this!

Lukaku, Rio, Nani and Fabio all out for at least 3 months. It's only January 1st!
