Best on mine was when I ground out wins against Brazil and Argentina as Colombia, and went unbeaten throughout qualifying, and suddenly became second, marginally behind an Italy side that was on 25 straight wins...

I'm never going to buy Dzeko again. Everytime I get him, my game becomes too easy and I stop playing FM

Won everything, and finished the league with 101 points and 90 goals scored. Pelligrin's been sacked from Madrid and I'm tempted to take up the job. Its frustrating playing as United, you win everything and all I get is a £20 million transfer budget, all that prize money staight to the Glazer debt
Speaking of Dzeko, I was gutted when he moved to Stuttgart for £12million, only for them to get relegated. Ive now been offered him for £8million

I'm tempted to sign him up, but then considering most my tactics involve playing only one up to, he'll be one striker too many.
It'll mean having to get rid of Berba, which at 30 isnt a bad idea...but I just feel bad doing so, in both seasons hes netted 30+ goals and consistently been voted best player in the league. I could easily off him for around £25million and sign Dzeko for £8million, making a huge profit, and if Dzeko is as good as you say he is then itll be like for like. And seeing as his younger I'll get more years out of him too.

feck, 2month before the world cup and hart does his Achilles, 3 months out so now I'm relying on the ageing James, the useless green or almunia who is about my best option but I dot want him to even be there.

Yeah I understand the Rooney frustration. He's beginning to really piss me off too. He was unbearable in FM 08. Sold him within 2 seasons over there.
Having Dzeko, Rooney, Berba is not bad. Even I thought it might be one signing too many and on the first day of the season Berba got injured for 2 months. So it's good to have depth

I had Berba as a poacher and rooney as a complete forward.Rooney scored 35 goals and Berba 25 in my first season,tried to swap their positions but it went downhill
In the second season rooney started off on fire, but has been on a goal draught recently
Hulk is not too bad if anyone is looking for a striker, but I had to spend a load on him, 20m + addons totalling to about 27m
As England I'm playing him with a target man and he gets a goal a game, if he stays fit I will win the world cup easily.
Surprised at all the negative reviews Rooney gets from you guys. He's never been anything short of awesome for me. He's always a front runner for WPOTY. That said, he can be very streaky which can be immensely frustrating.
Injuries are his only problem with me, but I have him with gerrard aswell an there is always an injury for one of them, so frustrating.
Cost me nearer 50! Well worth it though, he's a big-game player.
I'm going to download it again. I deleted it because of exams. I see a lot of you guys play using United but isn't that quite boring? Before I uninstalled it, I used Lyon and it was amazing. But I'm not sure what team to use this time round..

I got 40+ goals two seasons straight with him playing in a CF support role. Only for the first time this new season, he has been struggling. Just 10-12 goals in 20 games that he has played so far. A strong left footed player like Dzeko would be an ideal partner for Rooney.
I generally pick a coca cola league 1 club to play about with, as I feel if you start at the top flight in any of the big leagues it all boils down to the same targets and players. That said, I can understand why people play like that. The muppets life is one of luxury.
Though that said it's ruined my ability to start afresh a new game really I'm that invested in my Southampton side. I've molded them, bought in who I wanted, promoted who i wanted from the youth team. 7 seasons later they're entirely my side.
Also it helps I find if you play your own way - sites like the dugout and similar have cracking in depth articles on tactics and the like but I try to avoid that as much as I can really - I'd rather play the tinkerman and lose horribly than tweak someone elses tactics for a win. Same goes for lists of wonder kids and things like genie scout - useful if you want to quickly build an all conquering side but a lowly uni student such as myself who chose to bring a team through the ranks loves the personal touch - and therein lies the brilliance of FM, in that as long as you're down for the basic idea of managing a football team you can do it however you want
Cheers. Yeah, I completely see where you are coming from. The best possible feeling playing FM, in all probability, is bringing an average or shit team through the ranks and as hyperbolic as this will sound, achieve the impossible. Lyon is actually the best team I played with because I used to play using teams like Sporting or even Southampton.

1. Still not sure how big a deal a leak is!

Ah well. I play with United. So basically its not a big deal. And since I usually do deals for youngsters the effects are minimal.

Shifted berba with Dzeko this season and looks like both Rooney and Dzeko will get 30 goals and above
Just take any scout and scout the entire Spanish Under 18,19,20 teams.
I found 3 quality signings over there and 2 of them are 16.
Well I've found that scouts with higher 'Attacking' will be more accurate with strikers and such, and vice versa for defenders. A bit like looking at players reports with coaches in your squad.
I do that but with Brazil. It's a bit stupid really. My scout (who has 20 just judging PA & CA) came back with loads of "definite purchases" and loads of "valueable signing" also.

Is Agbonlahor amazingly good on anyone elses game? I don't think he's dipped below 20+ goals a season (league) for Villa yet, and when I was England manager he scored something like 14/17.
