Yeah Valencia's my only true right winger too but he's pointless since he's always bloody injured so I play Nani/Morrison/Obertan on the right.

Balotelli does amazingly off the left for me. Had amazing stats last year but he's been more or less injured for the last 9 months now with various injuries.

I signed tons of 15 year old german and spanish regens this season. Got lots of quality kids in

hmm in that case I will stick with balotelli and jovetic on the left

any recommendation for the right wing? obertan hasn't really done much for me, got a couple of goals against poor sides, but keeps hitting his crosses into the first defender available
 
Yeah obertan does the same for me but people here said stick with him so I'll give him another season. And also I got tons of offers for him so there must be SOMETHING good in him.

Hmm right wing is a problematic area for me too. Before this it never used to be a problem because we had Ronaldo :D

But Nani does decently there but again not good enough. Try for Navas? I think I'll go for him next summer.
 
Has anyone had a game in which Chelsea did not bid/buy Donovan and Suarez in the first season?
 
They've got both of them over here.

West Ham always sign Chris Brunt too.
 
More useful through the middle for sure, but he's more than serviceable on the right wing. Had to play him there for basically an entire season once and I think his average rating for the year was in the 7.4 to 7.5 range.
 
feck. Lost to Barcelona in the Champions League finals on penalties. Hargreaves (!), Rooney and Anderson missed. Pique scored the deciding pen. Well deserved overall I guess, Edwin was MOTM with a 9.3 rating :nervous:
 
Suarez is the Pandev of FM 08. He always signed for Chelsea bloody hell!
 
in my game, suarez signed for the scouse.

Also, after the first season (or possibly in the january window - cant remember) i always get Becks back on a free when his contract runs out, he can still do a job.
Cavalieri and Gallas were also available on free's in my save, snapped em up after the 3rd/2nd seasons respectively.

And now in the year 2015 I have managed to sign a 25 year old Pjanic on a free, which i am very chuffed about, although i have to wait til the end of his contract before he comes over, and i will probably need to make room in the squad by marginalising Modric/Rooney somewhat (both now in their 30's) or selling off Ljajic (says he wants a new challenge)
 
Oh thank Christ, I've found a save from two months before the end of 14/15 where I'm still manager of Southampton (at the end of 14/15 they were taken over and the new chairman was like oh yeah so I was thinking of Steve Bruce, so I left for Villa and immediately lost interest in the game).

What is with goalkeepers and superhuman performances against you?

It's getting on my tits now. Was playing Juventus in a CL semifinal, lost the away game 2-1. Started the second leg at home by going one up, then this keeper must have weathered about 50 shots, they had one chance (from a corner) scored, and went through. The keeper ended with a 9.7 rating.

Happens every game, you're up against a useless side which has a demigod keeper fecking things up for you :mad:
 
Yeah happened against me in the UCL semis and FA Cup final last year. Heilton for Porto, the customary clown put on the performance of his life. He must have saved atleast 7 one on ones and I went out 3-2 on Aggregate.
 
Somehow managed to sign Lomano LuaLua for my Notts County team. He's scored 17 goals in 15 games :cool:
 
Signed Sakho, but because the Cathcart/Vidic combination is pretty much unbreakable, I'm retraining him as a centre midfielder. It's working OK so far, when he gets more confident in the role I'm sure he'll shine.
 
Got to about February with Notts County, flying high at the top of the league, when I suddenly go into administration. Got docked ten points and I'm still a point clear at the top :lol:
 
I don't know what happened, I ended up winning the league by about 9 points. Everyone else must have imploded.
 
Just finished my 3rd season with Sunderland and i won the quadruple! Got a job offer from United straight after and i've accepted it.
 
I keep turning down offers from Spain so I can build this Notts County team up. I've been promoted to League 1 and the board want me to win it!
 
Javier Pastore is a legend.

So too Otamendi and Kjaer, what an absolute champion CB partnership - one that will last 10+ seasons in the game too.

Annan and Sandro screening the back four are absolutely beastly.
 
Tried to get Kjaer. Even agreed a fee but bloody city came and offered him better wages :mad:

But I got Hangelaand and he and Vidic are awesome :D

Had him at Leeds, kept having personality issues. Dunno if the teens were particularly harsh on him or if he has a personality disorder, sold him for 2 mill £ even if he was worth more.

Have to say the tactics I'm testing from thedugout.net is quite epic, Utd create 20+ chances in every game. Against weaker opposition over 30 is no rarity.

Having some trouble converting the chances sometimes though, but then again I rotate like there's no tomorrow. Petrucci has 7 goals half way through my 1st season.
 
Anyone know the best position or best formation to play Silva in I became Valencia manager Mata and Villa are doing great but Silva not doing much.
 
I played Silva AM L. He kept on and on crossing and Dzeko kept on scoring. Match made in heaven.
 
As an Englishman who knows football the England job is incredibly easy on this, played 7 won 7 scored 16 conceded 1

This with my defence playing one game together and my attack none together, HUZZAH!
 
England seems to win a lot of international tournaments on FM. Needs to get more realistic.
 
No, it's just that I am ridiculously good :p.

After those 7 games I have gone from 8th in the world to 3rd, only brazil and Spain are ranked above me and that was before my last 2 3-0 wins against chile and Bolivia.
