I understand what you're saying sg - but I find that only really applies if you start with a big team. The first fm game I played went united and won the treble twice in a row - which was boring. I much much prefer lower league management. Now I generally start with a league 1 or 2 club and build them up to premiership level - much more rewarding seeing as at that level you really start with no preconception of what player does what job - it's much more an exercise in building a team and tactics.

It's Elmander for me. Totally unrealistic.
I got bored a month or two ago. Just can't seem to get into this version. Or maybe I just got bored of FM in general. Now I'm wondering why I was so addicted to it for years
The press conferences can be totally rubbish at times.

and then there's the post-injury one, where if you go for the positive answer the player gets offended, so the only way to keep them happy is to break down in tears yelling "we're all doomed."

O'Shea is such a bloody idiot. First he injures Modric which enables Petrov to come on. Then he concedes a foul in Petrov region from which Petrov scores. Then he gets sent off and Tevez scores from the resulting move

Balotelli returns one week against Porto and now he breaks his leg vs B'ham. He's been bloody injured for the last 3 months and now gone for 6 months.

Poor end to the season. Won just 1 of the last 7 games. Lost to Porto in the semis. Lost to Spurs in the Cup Final. Hell even Wigan beat me 4-1 (after I had secured the title).

He's exactly what you need. A calm experienced head in midfield. With experience of playing for one of the best teams in England (Hull City). He would only cost you 100k ish and it's a given he'd get you at least 20 assists and 10 goals.

Gourcouff was awesome on the original db, trying him out now. Him and Verratti are the only one's I brought in, there's so much youth to develop so don't think I'll buy anybody else this or next season.

I'm rubbish at creating tactics so I gave this a go, it's a wingerless christmas formation. If it continues like this I'll drop it, sucks the fun out of the game if I walk all over the opposition. Some sweet combinations between the AM's and the lone striker though.

Yeah I know a corner tactic with which you score from 1 corner almost every game but then again it would get too easy so I don't use those special tactics and stuff.

All goals were from open play though, strange result as I only beat Bury and Tranmere 2-0 in the pre-season friendlies.
Welbeck and Macheda will do for now I think as I also would like to develop King.

Don't remember where I got the skin, but it's stekelo X or steklo X, just google it.
Can't praise the offensive play enough with this tactic, got so tired with wingers crossing into the sidebacks 50% of the time. But if it continues like this it's borderline cheating, so I'll see if I stick with it.

I already regret buying Gourcouff though, I'm retraining Nani and Berbatov to be AM's so the two AM slots should be covered as Ando, Park, Valencia and Giggs also can play there.
Welbeck was good in 10.1. In 10.3 he's off on loan in the first season, where he did well scoring some 21 goals.
Even he's a tad bit over rated.

I realised playing as United would be dull, so I've started as Notts County. Just dicked Hearts 4-2 in a pre-season game
How has he created that? I thought you couldnt get drag arrows on this one?
