I have just jizzed myself silly

You're dead to me now

really need to start playing this... tried to play as weymouth like i usally do but havent really had the time... might try again as bath city in the conference south tomorow

Every game it's a nightmare, injuries over injuries

During the international games, a carnage, every time 5-6 injuries, with players out for 3-4 months. I have need of 40-45 players

I will not concede the players for the friendlies, never more

Right injuries do need sorting, I'm into my fourth and fifth choice keepers (admittedly 2+3 were out before I took over) but this is ridiculous, my attackers get injured every game!

Honestly, I am glad I have more injuries. My squad is so oversized at the moment that it means I dont need to rotate so much - its easier to keep everyone happy.

Might give this a whirl before sleep. Alcorcon has been a bit of fun.

Last time I saved, I was 2-0 down to Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish Cup after the 1st leg.

1st in Spanish Second Div B2 after 10 games. 13 scored, 4 conceded.

Did a fair bit of wheeling and dealing, and considering I has a transfer budget of about 100k, I've done pretty well. Brought in Omar Kossoko from Amiens SC. Beninense striker who cost me 45k and has 6 in 11 apps overall (4 goals in 7 league apps). Also brough in Michael Mifsud who has done as well as Kossoko with assists to boot. They're usually my front two with César La Paglia, an Argie number 10 i picked up for free from San Martín in Argentina for free, playing in behind them. Excellent stats for the league (16 in first touch, 14 in passing, 15 in creativity). The only worry I have is that he has a natural fitness rating of 7 :nervous:

The "Big Four" of tight marking + close down + hard tackle + show onto weaker foot (maybe the last one isn't applicable to Modrić) usually works. Just use it sparingly.

For example, against Arsenal, I only use the "Big Four" against Fiberglass and their attacking midfielder if they have one, or Ramsey otherwise.

Don't do this to too many players as it simply prevents your own players from playing - you should try and make the AI play against you, not the other way round.

For Modrić, though, I usually sacrifice my right flank for Fletcher or Park simply to take him out. Zapata too at right-back simply because he's essentially a centre-back who dives into tackles. Vargas (Citeh) and Ronaldo are other victims of this tactic.

Modric is just insane in the game, he really is. Got me 13 goals and 33 assists and won world player of the year in my 2nd season with Spurs.

Modric signed for City in my game, but against me he didn't touch a ball

Lloris

Ivanovic Ferdinand Vidic Evra

Valencia Fletcher Carrick Nani

Sanogo Berbatov

1-0 (Berbatov)

I signed Lloris, Ivanovic, Krasic, Criscito, Gourcuff and Yaya Sanogo, a powerful 16 yr old super talent from Auxerre

This "packet" is hard as iron

Lloris

Ivanovic Ferdinand Vidic Evra

The perfect combination of pace and strengh

Ferdinand is injured and Vidić takes a knock but refuses to take an injection. Thus I am forced to play Evans and Zapata three times in a row against Spurs (FA Cup), Arsenal and Chelsea at centre-back, and Villarreal right after that. I did manage to win all the games but it took out a ton from the entire team - Evans and Zapata started the Chelsea game below 85% condition and finished in the low 60%s. :( Started Evans-Brown against Villarreal (Evans in the high-70%s) and subbed him off halfway for Zapata because Rossi was ruining him. Zapata didn't do much better. All those games I won by late winners too which was amusing.

Also started deploying Nani in central midfield which is moderately amusing against weak opposition. Nani can't really fit in my formation though...

i just got approached and signed for united in '11

desperately need a good RB and LB (evra's got fecked off to madrid and no new RB has been brought in)

also, a new GK might be handy.

have *** 52mn after selling of deadwood.

any tips?

I bought the game last week. In ten days I have finished three seasons and won everything. This is no joke. I cant stop playing it. I have finals coming up next week so I m forcing myself to stop playing it.

Wow. That is hardcore. I bought the game the day it came out and I only yesterday finished my first season. Mind you I've started about three or four different games, but that was the first one I finished and even that took me about four weeks.

Yes, I don't play it very often. Not to worry, I'm out of a job in three weeks and not having any luck getting a new one, so that'll soon change.

So should I revert back to the original patch or go to 10.0.3? A lot of you are saying it's shit though with loads of injuries and keepers being amazing.

Ah so have they fixed the whole thing where teams would suss you if you kept using the same formation? What about your strikers missing countless one on ones despite their ability?

Not sure what you're talking about for the former. The AI doesn't suss much out although tactical managers will be more capable of targeting your most dangerous players.

One-on-ones has been largely fixed with goalkeepers no longer having perfect positioning plus obscene reach, and strikers now try and actually aim for the goal.

The thing that pisses me off about this game..,.

It includes defensive strikers as a legitimate position, despite it being a falacy invented by a clueless fat Spanish imbecile

I've never actually had a patch upgrade. Don't see the point, nothing wrong with the original game really as far as I can tell.

Right, so. Since the last time I posted, we (Alcorcon) have gotten promoted to Liga adelante. My board, being the stingy cnuts they are, have given me nothing in the way of a transfer budget, literally. I've had to borrow from the Redknapp school of transfers and scout some people out of contract and I think I've done rather well to get Rueben Baraja and Ronny (former Sporting CP LB) for nothing at all. Have promoted a few good youngsters so I'm almost there in getting my final 25 man squad ready.

Anyone got any start of second season bargains?

Sylvinho was an option before I opted for Ronny, mainly because he's younger.

If anything, another striker. I have two slots free on my roster anyway.

In my game, Diego Cavalieri, Gallas, Beckham and Owen were all available on free transfers within the first few seasons.

I managed to pick up Riqueleme and Ruud within the first 2-3 seasons, both on a free.

---Riquelme---
Ruud -- Paloschi

Took me from relegation candidates to Europa league did that front 3. Or I should probably say front 2, as Ruud was pants. Paloschi got 20+ league goals though, and Riquelme was God for about 4 seasons, and has since gone down as a Parma legened.
