fecking pile of shit. No idea if it's this terribly made laptop or the game itself. Save games just keep getting cnuting corrupted.

playing with watford
took them up in the first season . finished 2nd .. terrible financial condition

5m budget in the second season in the premier league .. finished 16th . club makes a profit

20m budget in the 3rd season with the expectation being a mid table finish
have spent 70m in the summer window
the pay over 48 months is great .. probably the kind of thing that got pompey into trouble

should be fine if i avoid relegation , which i should

 Sometimes I detest this game.

Semi final of the FA Cup against Sunderland. My first 2 penalty takers both miss, even though they both have 19 on their penalty taking stat, all of Sunderlands score, even though none of them are above 10.

This was also after 120 minutes where my team had 9 clear cut chances and they had 1.

Sigh.

Haha, this happened in reverse for me. I had one with 15, and all the rest were 10<, including several 5<, yet somehow I won 5-4. It was the Italian Cup Final too!

Reinstalled the game. Hopefully that'll fix the problem. Started as United.

Suprised myself by actually getting 3 good players. I'm absolutely awful at this game so I'm too scared to go any other team.

don't know if you'd all three of those players for United, one or two would've sufficed.... your man management skills would have to be top notch with that squad now

Its not so bad, I use a very heavy rotation strategy on my squads and have never had trouble.

I've got all three of them, plus Rooney and Dzeko, Mata, Jovetic and Wilshere in my team in 2014/15. Given I play 4-3-2-1 or 4-2-3-1 most of the time it's a struggle to keep them all happy, but rotation seems to work.

PS I forgot about Llajic, Tosic, Wellbeck

Jesus Otamendi and Kjaer have made an absolutely beastly partnership for my Palermo side. Otamendi playing as a 'Stopper,' with Kjaer 'covering...' Only wish I signed Otamendi earlier so I could have had more time developing.

A back 5 of: Vargas - Otamendi - Kjaer - Renan
and: ..................................... Adler

Has been totally unbeatable this season.

I fit them all into one line up of destiny.

rooney - aguero

gourcouff

anderson - fletcher - hamsik

evra - ferdinand - vidic - whoever is fit

I really don't like these rules with the bench for the A League. Only 4 subs on the bench. Should have gone through and edited comp rules beforehand but eh.

Does Agbonlahor score a RIDICULOUS amount of goals on anyone elses save?

not a great idea to spend 84m on my 3rd season with watford ..
over 48 months , but the monthly payments are killing me

sitting in midtable , currently 9th .. no problems there , but i got too muppety

i will survive .. i hope

Okay now my starting lineup has more players people will recognise, it is...

Portillo.......Drogba........Sturridge

Possebon........Schneiderlin
Hammond/Johnson
Bunn ....... Dervite ....... Sonko ........ Parnaby
Rumening Jarlstein

Got Drogba on a free! He's 34 but he's still a great signing. Sturridge cost me 3 million, Possebon 2.2 million. Bunn is a really good regen. Morgan Schneiderlin and Dean Hammond are the only players I've still got that I started with at the beginning of 08/09.

must buys
jordan spence -- defender

verratti - mc/Amc
vaclav kadlec - striker

mark o'brien - DC

all fairly cheap and very good

Berbatov hasn't scored in 900 minutes. :(

Owen hasn't scored either yet this season but has set up more goals than Berbatov in far fewer minutes.

Rooney, Riquelme and Carrick are scoring the goals for me at the moment - Riquelme through free-kicks and Carrick through making runs into the box and from long shots. Lukaku is chipping in with useful performances, 5 goals and 6 assists this season already (into November). I've been playing Lukaku more than Berbatov this season and I've even dropped him for Owen. :(

add to that Anthony Annan - he's a gun to begin with but becomes an absolute beast - amazing anchor man/excellent ball-winning mid, and even though it's not on his 'positions' he's an even better CB, both a stopper or as cover.

My second season Sunderland team:

Gordon
Duplus Turner Distin Garrido
Weiss Cana Tosic
Sjklabard
Lukaku Bent

I want to sign a young Nigerian striker (oxymoronic?) but can't get a work permit. How do I buy him then loan straight out to a feeder club?

You first need to have a feeder club, where these kind of players are allowed. Polish, Belgian and such.

Rejected. So he gets to keep warming Spurs reserve team bench.

First match in the Carling Cup was a 4-0 trouncing of Watford - young regen Billy Goodwin got a hat trick. Fourth premier league game of the season was at Wolves, a narrow 1-0 loss. So far after 4 games I'm 5 goals scored, 5 conceded, 1 win, 1 draw, 2 losses and 10th.

Life without Anderson is good for me. He was the first player I sold. I bought Hamsik and Dzeko and I have won every award I could win in the first 2 years.

Lloris

Rafinha-----Vidic-----Rio-----Evra

Carrick----Fletch-----Hamsik

Robben------------------------------------Ozil

Rooney/Dzeko

And this is my second team

Foster/Kuzchak

Rafael-----Smalling-----Evans------Fabio

Nani-----VDV (on loan)-----Krhin-----Obertan

Berbatov------Lukaku

Berbatov is pissing me off. He has 3 league goals in 19 league appearances - and 9 goals in 33 games overall (3 of which came against FAR Rabat in the Club World Championship, so that doesn't really count). Owen has 8 in 24 and he rarely starts games.

Rooney got injured so Berbatov was expected to, you know, chip in a little... He didn't. I've had to rely on Lukaku for goals (he has 17 in 39). The main problem is that Lukaku's stamina is low so I usually end up substituting him out but Berbatov simply won't score. It's really annoying and I'm going to sell him at the end of the season I think.

Rooney: 36 games, 22 goals, 14 assists
Berbatov: 34 games, 9 goals, 10 assists
Owen: 24 games, 8 goals, 9 assists
Lukaku: 39 games, 17 goals, 7 assists

A lot of dead wood in the squad though. Hargreaves is finally back but will never displace Fletcher. I think I'll be selling Nani as well. Likely out: Smalling, Hargreaves, Gibson, Nani, Possebon, Berbatov, Scholes (retirement), Giggs (retirement) and Foster.

Dunno who to bring in though. Petrucci could step in as he's done well on loan. James is ridiculous on loan (40 games, 11 goals, 12 assists, Championship) as is Cleverley (41 games, 10 goals, 5 assists, Championship) - maybe they'll get chances depending on circumstances. Really need a defensive midfielder though.

Tunnicliffe is good on loan too (35 games, 8 goals, 9 assists, League One) so hopefully he's one for the future.

Shehata (regen)
Zapata - Ferdinand - Vidić - Evra
Valencia - Carrick - Fletcher - Anderson
Rooney - Lukaku

Evans
Fábio
Rafael
Nani
Gibson
Berbatov
Riquelme

Did you renew Owen's contract? You should try Lloris at goal. He has been the best GK for two years in the world after I bought him. He only cost 30M US dollars and he is very young (23), so you can keep him for like 10-15 years. Dont sell Smalling - he ll do good. I m in my third season and Scholesy and Giggsy retired for me too. I sold Gibson, Anderson, Park, Hargreaves and Valencia - the last 3 solely because of the wage expense. Owen left because I did not renew his contract but Berba is kinda doing bad for me too. A good defensive mid would be RENE KRHIN - he is awesome and is only 19. He is at Inter Milan. I bought him for 2.5 M US dollars and in two years he now costs 10M US dollars.

Owen is hanging around, yeah. He's a useful player to have. One thing I underestimated was his reading of the game - so he actually does well in the "Rooney role". The main problem is that I usually pair him with Berbatov in doing so and Berbatov can't finish at all in my game.

My regen goalkeeper has a scout rating of 4.5 stars. I'm not selling him at all! I scouted him and all my scouts gave him 3-5 star ratings and nobody was interested! So I jumped head-first into the deal and chucked him into the first-team. Now he's 18 and is as good as any other goalkeeper in the Premier League - and is steadily improving. My coaches all say he'll be a quality player. In other words, screw Lloris - this guy is awesome.

I think Krhin moved on my game though which will scupper things a little.

Smalling has been besieged by injury on my game and hasn't improved at all - I'll be selling him. I have Ferdinand, Vidić, Evans, Zapata and Brown all at centre-back so Smalling is not necessary.

I m totally screwed because this is the order of my schedule for the next month:

Inter Milan
Chelsea
Inter Milan
Arsenal
Arsenal
Liverpool
Man City
Liverpool

James has been brilliant for me, 2014 and he is a star attacking midfielder, just made his England debut also, commanding a transfer fee upwards of 18mil

Ugh...its 2014 and I seem to be in a bit of a Madrid situation - too many attacking midfielders/strikers. I just had to sell two of my recently bought ones for £7.5m each (Wijnaldum and Di Maria - though that was a profit on each of them and a decent sell-on claus included) to simply balance my squad a bit and make sure i didnt have too much competition for places. Oh, and I bought Aguero, something I have never done before in FM.

Even so, I am left with:

Rooney,
Ronaldo (dont ask how ;) )
Aguero
Gourcuff
Modric
Ljajic

Van de Kamp and Merlo (both awesome regen strikers)

I tend to play a narrow 4-2-3-1, but Merlo (who is realistically my 4th choice striker, but i only recently signed him) was complaining when i signed Aguero (very recently) that there might be too much competition. My home grown regen striker Danny Van de Kamp has been absolutely sensational, and won player of the year last season at the age of 22 - so i need to make sure i keep him happy and hang onto him. But then I have Rooney and Aguero (who I play as AMs a lot anyway) also potentially filling the striker role, and then Ronaldo, Gourcuff and Modric also waiting in line - sometimes I push one of the latter two into a CM position, but still, its a nightmare!

In Central Midfield my options are somewhat more limited - Veloso, Moutinho, Mikel and Defour are the ones I use. Some decent regens will soon be coming through as well though.

Then in defence my first choice lineup is something like Rafael - Evans - Sakho - Bale, with Filipe, Vidic (who is 33) and a regen CB and RB - Whittaker and Rose respectively, with Adler in goal and Cavalieri as backup.

All in all, its a monster of a squad, but its challenging to keep everyone happy now. I sold an absolute shedload of players in the transfer window, and have been trying to loan out Ljajic and Merlo so they can get some more games, but to little avail.

I feel a long haul session of FM coming on, just knocked off uni for the week.

I bought the game last week. In ten days I have finished three seasons and won everything. This is no joke. I cant stop playing it. I have finals coming up next week so I m forcing myself to stop playing it.

Jesus that's fast paced. Xfire informs me that I've played 84 hours since I bought it 2 months ago, and I'm in the first few months of my fourth season.
