Fair enough each to their own, the beauty of the game is the numerous ways you can tackle it. I tried it once on 02/03 I think, played as Real Madrid and tried making them a fused European side with an British and Irish flavour, Rory Delap won a champions league medal that way. Within two seasons though I'd quit to take over at Oxford United in League 2.
 
Well seeing as Liverpool have gone into administration, It'd be rude of me not to, errm, help them out wouldnt it? Que...Mascherano (£1 million) Skrtel (£1 million) and Aqua man (£0).

Started unemployed. Now it's december and I've been hired by Osasuna, who are bottom of the league by 5 points. So it's a challenge. However, I do have £9m to spend in january, so I need suggestions for EU national cheap CB, AMC and STR and possbily a DM???

Took them long enough, I hear stories of how 'Pool go into administration as early as 2011.

New game, pissed at Berbatov and Owen because Rooney's out for 4 months and has still scored more goals than them. Valencia, Gibson and Nani are carrying the team at the moment and Anderson is loving it on the left.

At least with Rooney out he's not injuring any of my own players! Rooney took out 4-5 players in training and now that he's out, my injury list looks a lot smaller - but I want Rooney back. :(
 
Right seriously I fecking HATE this game. First game in charge away at Tenerife, I'm 2-1 up until the 88th min and cruising, obviously going to be our first win in a while. Then my fecking central defender plays a simple pass back from a tight angle, the ball was going 0.0001 mph, and the fecking goalie LETS THE BALL TRICKLE PAST HIM1!!!!1!!11!!

Oh yeah and the fan and board confidence is so retarded it's untrue. The fans were devastated by a 2-2 draw away at a mid-table team when we're bottom of the league and haven't won in ages. The performance was very good, much better than I expected.

Does Otamendi hold an Italian passport?

Tore Reginiussen (sp? - he's Norwegien) can be got on a free halfway through the first season, he's actually fantastic for free - he's only 23 or so and has improvement, and will definitely become a leading La Liga defender if you can get him. You sign him from Tromso.

Tromso also have another quality player in Ruben Jenssen, but he's more suited to a playmaking midfield role.
 
cesc you were right! My save corrupted itself about two months into the new season (I'd got my act together admirably and was sitting third in the Championship), and the last saved was at the end of the previous season. I decided to be more careful with transfers this time, and looked at the finance tab - 5%!!! Bastards.
 
Question: I've heard of something called FM Real Time Editor.

Does this apply just to players? I'd be interested in downloading it for the sole reason that I could change my teams away shirt colours every season (Southampton have an ugly away shirt this year...). Could it be used for this?

Right, I'm dead confused here, need some help...I just bought some player called Skinner, he's 21 and English, but I've just gone to register him and its saying he's not Home Grown :wenger:

It also says that players under 21 dont have to be registered, so does that mean I can play him without registering him?

I'm playing as Ajax and my rather ordinary right back Rob Wielaert just scored a superb hattrick against RKC. Anything can happen in Eredivisie I suppose.

Great youngster, starts off at Textil Escudo in Spain and can be bought for peanuts.

The average age of my Ajax squad is 20 years old, and i've got loads of players under 20 who are good enough to play for my first team (Lodeiro, Sergi, Verratti, Rits, Rafael Toloi, Suk, Eriksen, Ze Eduardo).

My average (well not too bad actually) RB's scored two of the best goals I've ever seen in this game against my two closest Rivals in matches I've taken out 1-0. Anything can happen!

Was meant to do something when he first arrived, but I've been working 6/7 days a week over these holidays so haven't had any time... Now Uni's back I'm going to take it easier at work, and now Cricket's fecking finished for the season (remind me why ANYONE plays cricket?) I've got my friday nights back too!
 
I managed to get Daniel Sturridge on loan and he's been in amazing form. I'm currently playing a 433 with three strikers (one compelte forward, one deep lying attack, one deep lying support), two central mids (one box to box, one ball winning), a purely defensive midfielder, and a flat back four.

If I go up I'm going to try and buy Sutrridge but his wage demands might be too much...
 
:lol: Sometimes I detest this game.

Semi final of the FA Cup against Sunderland. My first 2 penalty takers both miss, even though they both have 19 on their penalty taking stat, all of Sunderlands score, even though none of them are above 10.

This was also after 120 minutes where my team had 9 clear cut chances and they had 1.

Sigh.
 
The penalties on this game are weird, the other week before the patch I beat Arsenal in the Carling Cup on penalties 19-18 and everytime someone missed the other team would, I was sat for as long as a match takes waiting for it to finish.
