Rafael developed quite well in my game, he's only an average defender but going forward he's shit hot, you've got to play the youngster otherwise they won't get better quick enough, I ended up selling Fabio for that reason.
I'm pretty fed up with playing Arsenal all the time.
Got them in 2 League Cup Finals, 3 FA Cup Finals, 2 Community Shields and now a Champions League Semi Final.
I'm constantly drawn against them.

At least you're drawing.. I've played them three times, won once, lost twice. Lost 5-1 at home in the League Cup. Yep.
No I mean drawn to play them in Cup Competitions. Though they did beat me in the FA Cup Final last year so I have a chance for revenge.
In Football Manager 2008, I've played Arsenal in the 5 previous Champions League finals, all of them finishing as bridesmaids.
That in itself isn't a problem, except that they have Messi, Bojan, Sakho, and a central midfielder better than Fàbregas...

What a shitty in-game week. First I lose 2-0 at home to Chelsea in the CL Semi, then I lose 2-1 at home to Liverpool after a 95 minute fluke by Torres. In all probability, my only hope for winning anything is in the FA Cup final, but I face Arsenal.
So im finding this game much slower to progress due to the amount of tactics involved in winning. Im also finding that the draws are completely rigged considering i beat sunderland in the league cup and drew liverpool, I quit my game forgetting to save, i beat sunderland again and drew liverpool.
Thinking of getting this at the weekend for something to play while I'm off work over Christmas. Hows it playing now? Thought the demo had promise but it seemed buggy and the injuries were a fecking nightmare to deal with.

The 3D system is quite nice and the transfer system has been improved as you can unload unwanted squad members easily now. Also the press conference is a nice touch and also some other new tweaks. Pretty nice game imo this year.
Play someone like Acqui (amateur Italian club) or something, and see what you can do with a narrow formation.

I couldn't think of a game less suited to a console than this.
Yeah, I've played the demo and it looked good but I couldn't see past the bugs that were there, espcially the bloody injuries. The press conferences got boring for me after about 5 minutes too.
Wasn't overly keen on the tactics either, seemed a bit diluted and was difficult to portray your ideas across. Have we got a winning formula this year or do I have to mess about all the time like in the previous version!
Still might pick it up, something to play over the Christmas period.

Also, fun fact, the FA Cup Final (which I'm in) is three days after the Champions League Final (which I might be in).

Yeah that cost me the FA Cup. I won the Champions League final against Liverpool and then I had to play Arsenal 3 days later in the FA Cup Final. Needless to say they were 100% fit and I wasn't. Still only lost 1-0 though.

Possebon is a bench player, Nani is first choice LW and Anderson won European Footballer of the Year and is probably one of the best midfielders on the game now. Petrucci is on the bench too. Evans is only CB for the reserves, Rafael plays left-back for the Reserves

I think it hasn't been confirmed yet. It's in the final testing phase, when that is concluded SI will give more information about the patch and the release date.
Well, if winning the league was unlikely after the loss to Liverpool, it's impossible now. I just lost 2-1 to Fulham, after about a gazillion chances, including a couple bar-shots.

i have found a tool which can extract tactics of AI teams. i have already got tactis from big 4 (including The great SAF, Arse Wanker, Scholari and Rafa)

I'm not really having problems with tactics. Except for a few disappointments, it hasn't been a poor season. Semi Final of the Champions League, Final of the FA Cup (yet to be played), in the Premiership title race with three games to go, etc. The loss against Fulham might turn out to mean nothing, anyway. I needed Chelsea to drop points in their last three matches on account of their superior goal difference, and it looks like they might not.
The Fulhame game was just "one of those games". Plenty of chances, poor luck. They had two chances and they scored (Nevland got one!)
Rio, Rio, Rio.. he just had one of those 'rallied the troops' things, where he said that to keep the hope of winning the league alive we needed to win our last match. Well, technically, I suppose. Of course, I'll have to gain 13 goals on Chelsea in that last round. Sure, Rio, sure.
i think in a season you have a game or two where you should have won comfortably, but either you loose or there is a wonder goal from opposition.
it happened with me once, Titus bramble scored a wonder gaoal from 50 yrds, i was so pissed of that i wanted to throw my Laptop out of the window, but then realised i laptop is worth more than FM2009. But i guess that human.

well the software grabs the tac files from saved files, i have got home and way for few other teams, but i am trying to make a super tactic, by using best rating.

one more thing is AI uses almost same tactics home and away (well that for most of the team and have a backup tactics when thing go horribly wrong.)
So why do people bother getting this game every year if they are just going to cheat at it every year?
