Gaming Football Manager 2009

Pjanic
Sakho
Jovetic
Beard
Saivet

Some youngster, all of which will turn out world class.

Sold tevez for 32 Million to Arsenal, Fletcher to Tottenham for 14 mil and Carrick to Man City for 19 Million. Good Business.

Bought in Hamsik and Srna.

It'd be good business if you weren't in the premiership, you've just made it alot harder for yourself. No offers from abroad?

There were offers for Tevez and Carrick from Spanish teams, but they weren't offering the sort of the money these english sides offered.

Fletcher and Carrick are so underrated on this game it's Unbelievable

Just finished my first season. Hour-wise it took somewhat longer than it's usually done with previous FM's. Won a surprising promotion in my first season at Maidenhead United, relegation contenders in the Conference South. Started off brilliantly, then fell off, then had a good finish. Somehow managed to win the playoff.

Being Norwegian, I get a lot of rubbish Norwegian players who are still a great deal better than the average Conference player. I've also found some very nice Welsh re-gens who were willing to sign with me for free (haven't got any money to buy players). The biggest challenge is probably around League 1, when my opponents start having some "real money", while I'll still mostly have to work with free players and youngsters, unless I manage to find a great prospect to sell (in my FM07 Maidenhead game I managed to find a Welsh left wing by the name of Ben Foster, sold him for a few mill).

Anyone else having problems with steam?

I want to load it up but it keeps saying "Connecting to Steam account" and stays like that for hours.
fecking pissing me off

I don't use Steam to play it, just run it from the Games folder on Vista. Dunno if its the same fo XP and you just run it from the Start menu?

I love Real Madrid, they just offered me £16 million straight up for Carlos Cuellar who is not even first choice for my Villa side. Snapped their hands off :)

Been playing as Swansea in my level. As I head into the International Break I'm joint top with 4 wins from 4:cool: Got knocked out of the League Cup by Bolton at the Reebok though, 2-1. Close game but my stupid fecking goalkeeper made a howler.

Daniel Aquino, Tony Maral and Daniel Estrada are Swansea's Rooney, Berbatov and Ronaldo:D (Except a hell of a lot cheaper)

Just installing it now, what the fudge is this stream account all about???

I've played a couple of games and decided that I'm going back to 2007. It's a classic.

This steam thing is well confusing.

I don't even know what it is! Why doesn't the FM icon appear on the desktop anymore? Will steam install any patches automatically?

It all seems unnecessarily confusing

Load of fecking bollocks!

Just had my game today and my D: wont recognise the disk. So Im gonna have to download it off steam now which will take about a year considering how slow my connection is.

Anyone else had to resort into downloading off steam? How long did it take?

New overrated player: Gokhan Inler (from 130/160 to 158/180).

You seem the sort to know about this steam stuff.

Any chance you could tell me what the frig it is? And why i need to run my FM through it?

Thanks.

Are you having problems installing the game?

No. Its installed and running. All that is fine i just don't really know what this Steam is and why i have to run the game through it.

What was wrong with installing it, a little icon appearing on my desktop and loading it from there.

Just seems confusing and i don't see the point. But as i don't know what it is, i could be missing something....

Steam is the online games service from Valve, they are the creators of Half Life, it's half a verification tool to make sure the games legit but it also has attached services similar to Xbox Live

Ooo ok. So it mainly for online multiplayer parts of the game then?

:lol::lol::lol: no way.

So has anyone come up with some good tactics on this latest edition?

I need some help now.

Seen as my D: wouldnt read my disk I managed to download the game off the steam website using the product key at the back of the game manual.

It has all worked well and the game works, the only problem I have now is that it hasnt created a C: folder. The only thing I can do is launch the game from my stream account.

Anyone else had the same problem as me? You have to say they have really managed to make this a awkward as possible this year.

I installed from the disk and that is the case with me also.....

Program Files > Steam > Steamapps > common, that is where your game files live.

The reason I asked my question was because I wanted to download the patch, but...from what I've just read, by using steam it automatically updates the game for you so you dont have to download the patch

Can anyone confirm what I just said is right?

It will still need downloading, just means steam will auto update whilst its open. You will see it updating and a percentage on you My Games tab of steam.

Actually another quick question...

Say I download the patch now, where would I have to save the file?

Through steam you mean? You dont need to specifiy, it will down the patch, install it and then restart steam I think. You dont need to do anything.

If you mean manually download and install the patch yourself then save it anywhere and just run the .exe that comes with it.

4-5-1 seems to work really well.

Going all out with 4-2-4 atm - only played 2 friendlies though so god knows how i'll get on in a 'proper' game.

The arrow system on the new one is pants.

Ok. I was drawing with City 2-2 at Old Trafford. It's the 94th minute and a harmless-looking high ball comes into the 16 yard-box. Foster rises and plucks it down easily. Looking to get the attack going quickly he throws it out towards Ronaldo, failing to see Robinho standing about 3 inches in front of his face, resulting in Robinho falling hilariously whilst the ball bounces slowly into the net. 2-3. City win, I swear loudly, broken game gets to feck off.

Oh, btw, the 1-2 goal for City was a Robinho shot from about 40 yards hitting the post, and bouncing back into the net off Foster's arse. Hilarious.

PATCH MEEE

Is there a fix for the injured player bug ive had 2 games and already got 2 players out. Also i dont seem to be able to score anyone else having these problems?
