Apparently this is the way the people who run WBA have decided to promote new season's kit. A genuine WTF? from me...

Actually, I think the Albion kits for this season are quite nice.
west bromOur 2013/14 home kit and 2014/15 away kit are almost the same as their 2014/15 home kit except they had the different colour on the sleeve whereas we had a different coloured collar.
Everyone just loves their colour combination which makes it look better and the anti-sponsor brigade like that they have no sponsor. Nike really aren't coming up with anything different for their kits to what they are for other clubs.
Are they taking the piss? That makes absolutely 0 sense. If you saw the player run into the dressing room all madlike and throw out the old shirt in frustration before donning the new one, it would have some semblance of logic.

This felt like someone had taped over the wedding video with MOTD highlights...
It's on the WBA official Youtube channel, and they posted it on the Facebook page (where it was met with much derision), so obviously somebody at the club thought it was a good idea.
These aren't identikit contracts that everyone signs. They're individually (and intensively!) negotiated. When you agree to pay a massively record-breaking amount of money for a kit deal with Manchester United, you don't just grab the contract you just signed with Juventus and add some zeroes to the number.
The whole reason we're in this slightly odd no-man's-land between the two providers is precisely because the tiniest details of dates and conditions were so precisely negotiated in each contract, and there's no way in feck either company is going to back down and lose even a fraction of the absurd amount of money they make from partnership with us.

Slight twist to the Chelsea kits. Not sure how real this is. A little surprised to see Yokohama Tyres on the shirt, instead of just Yokohama.
I really like that Chelsea kit, best one they've had for a while imo.

They can be, but knowing that Liverpool fans are obsessed with United and the other way round, it's typical in marketing to use keywords matching your biggest rivals

I'm not a fan of the collar. City tend to have classy shirts. This one isn't as good as your previous shirts.
