Football Betting Thread 2017/2018

Yeah I had Luton in about 15 league winners Accas too lol. Started backing Accrington in all of mine and funnily enough need them to win League Two for about 5 winners. When teams like Luton smash the other shite in League Two 8-2 and 7-1 it would be surely be human nature for them to easily win the league. They were something like 8 points clear of anything a few months ago weren't they? Suddenly when the humpings start turning into silly home defeats to pub shite I usually back against the team I went for with a few other of my fancies and they more often than not come in. Because I back so many league winners Accas (pretty much every day) I keep the stakes small and try (lol) not to include the same team too many teams. A few quid can easily turn into a few hundred with pretty much a very predictable event like a league winner. Get a few of those up at the same time and you're laughing. I do it in the Coral & Paddy Power shops though as that's the place where you can bet on winners of leagues in Austria, Belgium, Poland etc.
If a Sunday league team in real life were 8 points clear they'd easily win their league because there's no money involved and everything is 100% straight. Unfortunately in professional football where gambling/money is involved the ball seems to move in weird directions and these players that were 8 points clear can sometimes forget to even pass a ball properly.
True story. I once needed KooTeePee to win the 2014/2015 Finish Second Division to complete a £2.50 11 league winners accumulator for £1100. Got 2/1 about 15 games before the end of the season. 11 points clear of second with 4 games to go. They lost the league on goal difference.
 
Need Legia Warsaw, Celtic, Macclesfield, Salzburg to win their leagues for a pretty massive win. All others have mathematically won.
The one that's in the balance looks like this with 6 games left to go:
Lech Poznan 45
Jagiellonia 45
Legia 44
Legia Warsaw are the ones who absolutely annoy me no ends. By far the biggest budget and still struggle to even get a draw some days against polish shite. They go even money for them win with Lech Poznan 17/10 and Jagiellonia 4/1. I'd say the bookies have installed a false favourite for this one as Legia are about as reliable as a drug dealer. I'd make Lech Poznan favourites now but their away form is disgusting, so who knows.

I'm still clinging to the tiny hope that Accrington lose their edge now they've secured promotion. Obviously Luton would need to win their last 3 games too. The nearest i ever got to landing a big antepost acc was about 15 years ago for £7k. The only team that let me down there was Chesterfield. They were 4 points clear in April when they suddenly got hit with a 9 point deduction for dodgy dealings the chairman had done the year before. Oh how I laughed.
 
Accrington are far from home and hosed yet for that Luton bet. Although Accrington are four clear and a spare game they have to play some of the tougher shite than Luton yet. Just looked at Sky bets odds and its Acc 1/9 Luton 11/4 and Wyc 80/1. 1/9 about a team that's four clear and a game in hand suggests to me that they think/know Accrington will pick up 1 or 2 points from their next four games allowing Luton who will go full out to win the title. Doncaster last year were 1/25 or 1/50 or some shite and basically gave up the last four games having already secured promotion. If I could be arsed I'd be on to Trading Standards for that as Luton should no way be as short as 11/4 if Acc are 1/9. That's at least a 9/2 or 5/1 shot if Acc are 1/9. Either it's an error or a fecking disgusting joke. That points deduction thing is a sickener though. I wouldn't be able to get over it if it happened to cost a lot of money.

I'm not sure you can assume it's corrupt. When you're considering 10 leagues over lots of years and bets made at various stages and almost infinite numbers of result sequences you're always going to have strange things happen. I'm sure there were plenty of people who had big stakes on Bayern to win the CL in 1999 for example.

I usually do some sort of corners bet each week, and have started hitting the 4+ corners each half market over the last week. 3 out of 4 so far and am liking the look of the City/Swansea game today at 10/11.

2 caveats for this being I'll be waiting to see what team City pick and there's the danger of the motivation not being there. Given it's their 1st home game since winning the title I'm hoping they'll want to put on a show, plus to wipe the memory of their last 2 home games.

To wrap it up, City are the best in the league at winning corners so 4+ each half at 10/11 Seems a good bet to me. Might even go to 5+ each half at 2/1 depending how I feel later.

Edit to add that it's not just City corners that count seeing as I went on about them a lot. Any Swansea corners count as well incase I didn't make it clear.

Denmark will 100% finish above them. Very poor side currently for Australia. Watched all their qualifying games. Struggled massively against Thailand and were fortunate to win and were very average against Syria. Peru side isn't great, if Guerrero plays well they should have enough to beat Australia.
 
Had a small bet on Chelsea u19 +0.25 tomorrow in the Youth League. Personally think they should be favourites. Will stake overs as well if the game starts open. Barcelona City semi final was the most insane game I've seen. If it starts like that it will end 5-4 or something. Might be more tense with it being a final though.

This is a bit late but yeah, I thought this was very weird and we were great value. Don't normally like to bet on United and didn't but home advantage comes from the crowd, not the physical stadium, so deffo thought we were far too long.
 
Anyone have a bet on Jorge Wilstermann yesterday? I had them to win and o3.5 goals, they were 7-0 up after 48 minutes when the game was abandoned but bet365 have voided the bet, anyone know why?

Nice - Thanks for the info. From what I've heard Peru is a bit of an outsider but combining well and shouldn't be a bad team. I think I'll stick with my bet then

First team was on strike so it was their youth team playing. Only 7 players came out for the 2nd half apparently and 1 got injured/pretended to be injured so game was abandoned.
 
Pretty much regretted going for Roma or Draw after seeing their away record in the CL this season (only won against Qarabag)
 
Bet365 £50 on Liverpool ht/ft at 6/5. Think i'll stick the free £50 on Roma though. 6/1 looks fairly big and if Liverpool don't get off to a fast start, I can see Roma getting a decent foothold in the game.
 
Stuck my £50 on Roma +2.5 AH to get £61.50 back, in-play I'll see how the game goes, possibly get on BTTS in the 1st half if it's an open start at around 4/1.

Ffs :lol: thankfully got on Mane to score anytime at HT at 11/4, although annoyingly I was gonna get on him to score next at 13/2 but played it safer seen as it looked like I was already gonna be £50 down

I'm a bit tempted by Real Madrid too. I thought Bayern looked bad against Sevilla at home, and it was more due to Sevilla's bad attacking-skills that they didn't lose.

Lewandowski should be motivated though.

I really fancy Real tonight. Obviously they are the underdogs but it's a big price IMO. Did my first requestabet thing with BetVictor last night as they gave me an offer and won on Liverpool, BTTS, over 4.5 Liverpool corners, over 2.5 match cards. Nice! Now for Real and BTTS for the free bet.
 
Yesterday I made a lottery-like bet on correct score 5-2. :) With 96 odds, out of 5 PLN stake I received 442 PLN (unfortunately we also have 12% tax in Poland to be deducted from the reward). I don't think I will try a correct score today. Just fancy Bayern to win.
