Football Betting Thread 2017/2018

I'll go with Chelsea Huddersfield DRAW tonight @ odds 8.0 - Huddersfield will be fighting for a 0-0 and just achieved that against City. Chelsea are a bit up and down, but the odds could be of value mixed with some other safe bets.

Edit: Chelsea are WWWWW, but it's been 3 months since they've won with more than 1 goal in the league.

Nice call.

This is not of as good value as Huddersfield draw last night, but I've put some money on Leicester to draw and Leicester to win against Spurs in the final round. Draw was 6.5 and win was 13

Spurs looked incredibly dull last night - players looks like they are just riding along and avoiding injuries before the World Cup. Except for his goal, I can't recall when I've seen Kane that bad.

Under 2.5 goals in our game against West Ham tonight @ 1.90. Looks like we're in for an incredibly dull game with the team sheet

put £5 on the 0-0 after 10 mins viewing last night, returned £35. Anybody got a decent 5 or 6/1 that they are fairly confident in? Football or otherwise, as may roll the winnings :)

Another good shout. Easy money this betting business!

Thanks! Its up and down but a good streak atm. Felt extremely confident we'd bore ourselves out of the park yesterday :D

Jose might mix things up again w. Watford, so waiting for the line up might pay off again.

Last game of the season, I usually stick a fiver on all 20 teams to score and will do again today.

Anyone else have a last game bet they often do?

Here's a golden opportunity:

FC Copenhagen vs FC Midtjylland 2 (Draw no bet) 1.83 at Bet365.

Midtjylland just won against Brøndby which makes both team equal with the championship having two matches left. Now, Brøndby's die hard rival is named FC Copenhagen and there's just so much incentive for them to not take points from FC Midtjylland, as it would hand the championship to Brøndby who they hate.

Unless FC Copenhagen are acting really professional, then this is worth a shot. In a professional game both teams are kind of equal in the match

Edit: Ahhh, forget the above - It's not as golden as it seems. FC Copenhagen needs points to be sure of getting into Europa League. Still not a bad bet, but it's not as sure as first laid out.

Got two legs left in an accumulator. Cavani top ligue 1 goalscorer, and Legia Warsaw to win Polish league. Went into Coral yesterday (as the bet was placed on one of their machines) and asked them politely if it was possible they would settle the bet one game early as no way Thauvin from Marsielle was scoring six goals and it's annoyingly preventing a possible cash out. Legia have a game away to Lech Poznan which they could easily lose. Of course the bookmakers don't want to give any leeway to the customer as just checked and they still haven't settled it. Really puts you off sometimes betting as its never in your favour. Are they frightened Thauvins scoring six goals or something? Old hag behind the counter looking at me like I've just murdered someone as well. Does anyone know the rules about settling top goalscorer bets?

@SalfordCitizen no offence mate but they weren’t going to settle that in a million years.
Lol true worth a try though. If would be nice if they just put odds up such as Cavani 1/100 & Thauvin 33/1 just so it registers onto the bet rather than just make it disappear altogether. If they don't offer any odds then surely it's a certainty right?

Anybody with some tips for the football this week? Should have not placed any bets over the past two weeks as all the end of season results have totally screwed me! Down a load of money so need to bounce back.

Legia winning title is far from a foregone conclusion.

Went into coral and asked for odds on a Thauvin hat trick v Amiens on Saturday just incase he scores seven on Saturday and screws my accumulator. Got 150/1 which is incorrect as its 17/2. Just looked on oddschecker and the 150/1 was about him doing it against Athletico Madrid which just realised is tonight. He's obviously not even read what was wrote and translated it wrong on his system. Shall just leave it until the Amiens match and if he scores a hat trick on Saturday go in and claim it? They will probably say a customer tried to con them by gaining two chances to win and avoid paying out.

Got done by Lech Poznan two years ago when Legia (3/10 odds going into the play-off round) were leading the table going into the play-off round but then lost 1-2 at home to Lech and those dumb half the points after thirty matches rule cost me dearly. Going into this play-off Legia were third and shocked that they are even in this position as they were playing so bad. Think they've changed their manager and got their shite together just in time. Backed Jagiellonia to beat Wisla Plock and Lech Poznan to beat Legia Warsaw just so there's no worries any more.

Funniest thing is I can totally see Legia losing and then Jagiellonia failing to beat Wisla Plock (who are playing for an European spot themselves).

Polish league is just nuts but at least we get an exciting final day. We also have a huge relegation game between Nieciecza and Piast Gliwice.

The odds of a draw with Lech and Legia are crashing with the bookmakers but Lech is still the toughest place to go in the league. Lechs away form dearly cost them this year, no idea why it was so bad. Got a feeling Lech are winning this just have to see what Wisla Plock can do against Jagiellonia.
Been watching all of Legias games recently and they have actually been defending well, especially away from home. Their defensive midfielder (black guy, muscular) has really caught my eye. He could easily play in a top European league from evidence so far. Legia used to demolish teams by big scorelines 4-5 years ago, this season they seem to be boring the crap out of everyone towards winning the league title.
Piast Gilwice were close to a championship not so long ago it's a surprise (at least here) that they are down there.

Got a sneaky feeling Midtyland will win the Danish league this year. Around 2/1 odds. Backing a team who are second with two games remaining will 19 times out of 20 end up as a loser but it's worth a try.

Well the entire league is a bit crap and Legia have lost their best player, Vadis, to Olympiakos after just a season so they are struggling to find rhythm. They go through having to replace their best players almost every year.

It’s not as extreme as Jagiellonia though, those guys are working on a very tight budget and they sell 3-5 best players every Summer and then need to replace them on a budget. They even lost their coach who moved to Kraków last year and still managed to get themselves involved in a title battle. Kudos to their organization because it’s really an unlikely job that they have done.

Sorry I didn't get to post it before the match, but Atletico at 2.25 were great value today

That last minute 3rd goal helped by SkyBet RAB with Griezmann to score, Atletico Madrid to win, over 2.5 goals and Vrsaljko to be carded @12.00.

Just needed one more Atletico card and BTTS for my @21.00 to come in.

Golden State ML @2.05, pretty generous odds especially after game one played out.

I agree. If Houston continue with their isolatoin strategy in game one, they will get hammered again. Harden may well get his 40pt haul but what’s the point if his team loses, needs to share the ball around and give his ego a rest! GSW put down a big score last game even with Curry misfiring, having them as outsiders here is a mistake I think.

 Watched the highlights and GS got hammered. Not my finest bet!

Think I'll use the Bet Builder for the Bet365 offer this time....just for the fun of it. Will wait to hear the lineups and see if Lukaku is starting.
