FM '09 - Caf Network Game

I'm going to buy Gary Neville and make him captain.

Just to feck the fans off.

If Gary agrees a contract with city the game is unrealistic shite.

And I hope you realize that if you do well on the online game, lets say by some horrible chance you win something, you will have let down united fans everywhere.

I may even edit my top red vote for the awards:p

Well judging by the demo I will get £3 million to spend at Hull, now to search for free transfers- Ronaldo (fat) the number 1 target.

Newcastle were in take over talks at the start of the demo for me Sol.

Spurs got Moutinho on mine

Theres an annoying glitch where if I grab something like a player to make a sub or where he runs, it doesn't let me ungrab and my cursor just gets stuck on that, meaning I can't save, click continue or anything. Annoying.

can you make the players do diagonal runs?

I'm stopping myself from downloading this, otherwise I won't get the work I need to do done.

What are everyone's overall impressions of it? Haven't heard too much praise so far.

Why'd they get rid of the diagonal runs  strange one that.

What does that mean, "confuse the match engine". As in the instructions were not actually carried out?

Not sure why people aren't liking the new FM. MUCH better than 2008 which was a pile of shite.

Can someone find out Boro's transfer budget please?

Cheers

It doesn't really confuse the match engine, it just exploits deficiencies in the match engine. A back four really struggles against 5 attackers as it tries to close down at least one and ends up leaving obscene amounts of space for one or two to exploit.

It does exploit a serious problem in the old game which involved inability of wingers to beat their man easily or get the ball to the wingers without dragging defensive midfielders everywhere - hence the odd full-back arrows. It hardly hurts the tactic at all defensively.

In some ways it's a bit of a shame since it does prevent some tactics from working in ways you want (see flat 4-4-2 with an arrow on one of your central midfielders to defensive midfield), but in exchange, Football Manager 2009's instructions are "stronger" - they'll follow your instructions closer to gospel. Tell a winger to cross rarely and shoot from distance often and they'll play like much more like Benayoun, for example.

Could someone also do the same for West Ham please.

Thanking you:D

not too good :

£1 million - top-half
£1.2 million - continental
£1.3 million - title challenge
£1.4 million - winner

Ah well, will make a it a challenge I suppose.

May have to sell one or two, already know which players I want to bring in.

Reddevil90210 when you going to draw my team for me?

Better fire up the demo and see what i have to work with then

Playing on the demo with Hull I have 3 points from 12 games no wins and no hope, any chance of a swap?
