My best position was 5th. After years of mediocrity with Spurs, I finally built a decent team in 2010/11 season. The only thing that stopped me from breaking the top 4 was an amazing comeback by Charlton when I was beating them 4 - 0 last day of the season, they got it back to 4 - 4 in the last 10 minutes. Utter FM hating me bullshit

You don't have to if you have the save but we have a rule of there must be atleast 4 (3 in some cases) people online to play.
so like if there are 6 players they don't all have to be online at the same time in order to play....though it helps.

Same way as in single player, but you need the save to do it.

If you can host then there is a possibility of you getting the save...as hosts have the save. However you saying that has harmed your chances.
