FIFA World Cup 2010

I think in terms of gameplay it's better than FIFA 10. I eel like I have more freedom in this one. I just scored a goal when I ran to the byline and instead of crossing across goal I just lofted it to the edge of the area where Alonso smashed a volley in. Could never score a goal like that on FIFA 10.

i wish i could master all of the skill moves, but i really struggle with them, because they are different depending on the direction, i cant get my head around it .

I usually just hold down L2 and mash the right stick :D

I scored a fecking belter against my mate last night with De Rossi.

After playing the demo for a bit, I've decided I'm definitely getting it as there quite clearly is an improvement in the gameplay!
Quicker response, players feel just a bit more delicate, hard to describe but feels amazing to control and play..

Think I'll be spending the cash on this.

That's how I felt about them as well, until I really tried learning them - the feeling you get when a skill combo comes off is something to experience

You know, i'm tempted to get this now. It's the "what if" scenarios that have me. I remember a game years ago, ultima soccer i think it was, that had the same thing and had me hooked for months.

Love the commentary for the France/Ireland one.

I'm definately getting this on Friday, it's a stunning demo - it's even more responsive and realistic than FIFA 10 and that's saying a lot.

Ordered it on zavvi a couple of hours ago. I used the MVC3 code so ended up at around £31. Really enjoyed the demo and needed a new footy game.

Just got it tonight (live in Canada..)

WHAT A GAME..honestly, best football sim I've played! And I've played quite a few (from FIFA 97, to PES 6, you name it..)

They've solved all the issues that were there in FIFA 10 from what I can tell. Keepers not coming off their line, the ball physics are awesome! You just can't pass as fast as one can in FIFA 10 so unrealistically and do a chip through ball and send someone through on goal! The defending AI is so so so much better, so is the attacking AI in terms of the runs the players make. The ball is heavier and headers travel faster. Shots are so much more realistic, keepers are so much better in terms of not being 10 yards of their line all the time. The way defenders read the game and intercept passes is amazing. Its tough to describe until you play it, but I'm delighted I bought it and even though I'm not a fan of any international team, its a footballing gaming fan's masterpiece this in terms of gameplay. They've slowed the gameplay down just a bit more and it makes it even better and more realistic.
You know how in FIFA 10 you could just do very very unrealistic one touch passing between the front men just way way too quickly, it's not like that, where the weight of the incoming ball actually matters, TOO quick and the receiving player will actually have trouble hitting it first time and/or controlling it.
But that's not to say you can't do clever back heeled passes or flicked passes, cause you can. I know i'm rambling here, but I'm absolutely drooling over the game. the players and ball control just seems delicate, and they players do exactly what you want them to. Response time has improved greatly, and sudden instinct shots can be pulled off.
Believe it or not, you actually CAN have some nice LOW FLAT finishes.
Keepers are so so much better too. If a keeper's left wrong footed or perhaps over done his dive, he actually SAVES the ball intentionally with his legs, or adjusts his hands above his tummy if he's dived more than he had to for a spot kick.

Just because the other player's got a Drogba or a Rooney doesn't mean your defenders are going to get out paced by balls over the top, they read the game better, the take better positions, and no how to contain. I know I'm not being too articulate in this post, but seriously you guys will know what I mean once you play the game.

It's like the machine does what you WANT it to do, and not what its restricted to do because it lacks an animation or something! That's really something. You can actually pull of Scholesesque type balls to your wingers with the perfect weight between the full backs and center backs off the opposition if you wanted! I don't think I was ever able to do that in FIFA 10.

For a game which I thought would be catered towards the 'mainstream' or 'masses' cause its a World Cup game and they just want to make money of it from the NOT SO serious Football fans, boy I was way off.

EA has worked a LOT on the game play and the results are there to be seen.

40 quid is a bit steep for a game which in the past you only play until you win the cup.,
but after playing the demo and hearing the rerviews. it might be worth it.

but i bet fifa 11 is completely different.
