Gaming Fifa 2009

Played my first ranked Xbox Live match today after fully becoming acclimated to the game. Went up 4-0 by the 50th minute. Nani, Giggs x2, Berbatov.

Needles to say he quit, then messaged me "fuk off u luky bitch. re match pussie!"

Also got my first taste of a beautiful free-kick, which was dispatched by Hargreaves in Manager Mode. Curled and dipped it past Timmy Tourettes.
 
In my Be A Pro Season I just got called up to the England squad. Started off at the Sunderland reserves, broke into the first team and helped them to 6th place in the Prem. Then United came in for me but I'd have only been a reserve, so I went to Espanyol for more first team games. Coming towards the end of the season and we are 4th in the league. Hopefully United still want me and I have a better chance of being first team.

Unless I'm losing heavily, this happens to me every time I attempt to play online. My xbox-live account must have some sort of retardmagnet incorporated. A couple of months ago (in last years Pro Evo) I was down by 2-0, and scored to make it 2-1 to the prat. He promptly quit, and messaged me "feck off with ** fluky goals".

Are there actually anyone out there who isn't a massive tosser? I'm a sore loser myself, but atleast I wait till after the game is over to whinge :D
 
Is this interactive league really worth playing?

I'd help United move up in the table but if there are about a thousand people playing all the time, one or two wins won't really matter.

Is there any way to check the result between us and Everton at the moment?

Well I havent seen him play this season or last, so I've no idea how much his pace has declined. But I can remember thinking a few years ago, I'd hate to be a striker playing against him. Stupidly fast and quite tough too. Not the best defender in the world, but a challenge none the less.

The swerve is only over the top on free kicks, if you use the finesse shot to curl the ball as much as possible. If you try and curl the ball from open play or just take a normal freekick, without finesse shot and without the left shoulder button for a power shot, its a lot more realistic for a placed/curling freekick.

There are lots of camera angles and each one can be adjusted as far as I remember. I settled with one in the end.

You only keep your points if you achieve certain things during your 4 seasons.

If you are a player who's national team is in the game, you have to play in (and win?) the international cup at the end of the 4 seasons. Then you keep the points.

I had a created Serbian player (Ljajic) and because there was no national side for him, I kept the points without playing in the international cup. In fact, I believe I was only a fan favourite when it finished and kept the points.

I'd imagine its not really worth doing, seeing as United and Barcelona are ridiculously popular sides to play as online. So all the new and shitty players will be playing as United and losing lots of matches.

Got a fair bit to go yet then, think i'm about 1/2 or 3/4 through my 2nd season
 
BAP is great but to limit to 4 seasons was a rubbish (marketing ?) move from EA.
My impressions on the game are just amazing, having played around 30 games I'm just amazed. Of course it's not perfect, some things could be improved but as far as I'm concerned it's the best footy simulation in the market right now. The collisions are funny and my word Wayne is a complete monster in this game ,I might decrease his stats cause it feels so unfair :D
 
FFS. My DNF rating has just randomly moved up to 1%. I havent quit in any game :mad: Earlier i was playing someone and beating him 6-2 when the connection got lost, but it didnt go down as a loss for me, but that must have been where it came from. fecking joke, was hoping to keep that at 0

You're lucky. Mine is pretty damn high because of the discs tendency to become unreadable in the middle of games. Not most games, but quite a far. Of course, now it's become completely unreadable, so I can't even play.

I think I'm going to take it to the store, have the guy run it through the machine one or more time, then not use the game until the xbox patch I was talking about arrives.
 
I have conjured a 20 match winning streak all of a sudden; I can't stop playing this game.

Less than a goal conceed per game on average, and over 3 goals scored has ensured that i've moved swiftly into the top 2500. :cool:

Not touched single player mode yet, what's it like?

If you play 200 matches with only 1 DNF your % will go back to 0.

One guy started having a go at me because he couldn't finish, I passed it out from my GK and he had moved it front, clear open goal and he hits the bar, I go up the other end and score, then he messages me 'turn down the luck level', :lol: I just said 'not my fault you can't finish', then he called me a cock and second half I scored a second.

LMAO I just got this message from someone who quit on me after I scored two goals...

"u got some sort of programme or summat just looked at your stats in the last 10 games u av played only 2 people av scored no one is that good".

Some guy picked United no matter what team I picked, was gonna go with Accrington Stanley but to give myself a chance I picked Birmingham. He was trying to do all these skills against me thinking he was amazing, I counter-attacked and scored, then he got pissed off and started trying to dribble with Ronaldo, I attacked again and dribbled round his goalkeeper and walked the ball into the net :lol: He quit straight away and has just sent me a horrible message of angriness.

Although to be honest when a lot of people see that im going for a random Championship team or summat they change but some just stick with, as you say, United, Barca, Chelsea etc etc.

It's pretty sad imo and must be just people that only care about their 'stats'.

I just don't enjoy having all these awesome players all the time, it takes out the skill and challenge.

It is so weet when you beat one of 'em though :lol:
 
BAP is solid on legendary.

Spent the whole first season in Bury reserves and was finally made captain with 2 games too go. I had offers for other shit clubs at the end of the season but stayed at Bury and on the 2nd game of the season i had a go in the first team, was played wide right and scored 2 goals and was then back in the reserves the week after. I then scored a hat trick from CM and there was a news story saying i was now a 'first team' player and I've not appeared in the first team since!

Been 3 reserve games since that and I've got MOTM every time :mad:
 
Does anyone know that site that they sometimes show at the bottom of the arean screen, the one where you can check your stats or something like that?
 
Something is wrong with EA servers, i have won five games in a row online and none of them were registered as wins nor losses. Just stays the same, is the same thing happening to you?
 
According to my stats on the EA serves, i'm on a -2 streak though i'm actually on a +15 or so streak. Bit weird. On the bright side though i have now won 86 and lost 7 :)
