Gaming Fifa 2009

Mines is perfect if im not signed into Live. When Im signed into Live, it just runs for about a minute then freezes. The game freezes, I can still press the button that takes me back to the dashboard. This is shit.
 
Mine has been working well mostly except for a couple of times. Both times after an exhibition match, the game freezes when loading, or maybe just takes extra long to load. In both instances it eventually got there and I didn't see any lasting effects.

Few questions regarding BAP. Sorry if they have been asked before.

-How long does BAP mode last? The length of their career?

-Is it more rewarding to create yourself to play as BAP or would you recommend selecting an existing player?

its good because you kind of feel like your part of the team, or if your not getting a fair shot move somewhere else at the end of a season.
 
ARGH!! Why is it still you don't get awarded the win when somebody else quits? Was beating some numpty (Melting Thunder - Avoid Him) 5-0 and he quit on the 53rd minute. I'm left with nothing to show for a cracking bit of football.
 
I am half way through my new season as a new player I creted playing for Bradford. (Mates team, thought it would be good to start at a low level club and see how far I get). Cant wait to see how realistic the time frame is for a new club to make an offer and to be noticed for the england team.

I've just completed my first season as Hull City. Made it into the 1st team towards the end of my 1st season got a handful of games didn't make much impact. Then you get some offers from clubs my best was to join up with Fiorentina however it was as a reserve so figured it pointless. I'm now in the starting XI at Hull and we're top of the league.
 
Just scored a great header with Ronaldo from a corner. It's quite challenging on Pro difficulty which is good. Nothing more boring than winning 6-0 every game.

Yeah I like how it doesn't feel too easy. I beat West Brom 7 - 0 one week and the next I lost away to Portsmouth, Crouch's height destroyed me in the air. Then I went on a crappy run, drawing at home to Everton and then losing away to Spurs, I paid for playing a weaker team then I should've.
 
Not much more satisfying on this game than a perfectly executed slide tackle on Messi inside the box denying a wonderful goal scoring opportunity. :D

Slippery bugger that he is.
 
Any of you guys have the PC version?

I'm playing "Be A Pro: Season" at the minute, but it seems i've full control of all the squad lineup and I was asked to select myself in the starting lineup for the first game of the season..

How come i've not had to work my way through all these reserve games into the first team? Does anyone know how I turn on this function?
 
Okay, interesting stuff.

I finished my first season and got a little bored of playing as right back Fabio, so I made a new BAP season with Ever Banega at Atletico Madrid. After my first callup for Argentina, on which I scored - I was given the captaincy at United. At the same time I was given captaincy for Argentina. As others are aware, this means you can now sort the lineup and tactics of your side. This is pretty obvious stuff.

However, I saved and quit my game and have been playing normal friendly matches.

When I play as United and take a look at Fabio's stats, he still has his original 64 rating and all of his original stats.

However, when I look at Banega's stats he has the 81 overall rating I took him to and all of my edited stats for him from my be a pro career.

I tried loading and playing as Fabio again, but his stats dont stay the same as be a pro mode no matter what I do, it seems.

So I guess the key is

If you become captain of club and country (which is the aim of BAP mode, to take your country to the world cup (or play through it?) as the captain) then you can keep all the stats you aquired during your game.

I've no idea if the Live Update of form/stats will affect this, but most likely it will and might cancel out your stats when you update... Though maybe you'll get them back if you load up your career again? Or your experience points may still be stored, just not used - so you can add them again in edit player mode? Also, I've no idea if an edited player like this could be used online. But I'll probably try that soon.

It's funny because I've never had a player sent off or seen one sent off (that wasnt me controlling the player myself) in BAP season mode.

I had Vidic sent off once in a normal friendly match when I controlled him myself. And I've had an opponent sent off once too. Nothing else.

You've selected a player who is captain. Captain of the reserves maybe, but captain none the less.

I noticed this last night, played a normal match against the computer and wellbeck was in the starting line up with all his new stats. I am united captain but not england captain (yet)

Oh. So you just need to be club captain then. Spose that makes it easier.

I'm just extremely glad there's something you can take from your achievments in BAP mode. Without any unlockables in the game I was starting to think that after a few play-throughs, although the game mode is fantastic, it was going to get a little bit empty.

Now it means that all the experience points you gain can be used however you want. Even if its probably only for single player mode, afterall everytime you look for a match on live it checks for a squad update.
