Managed to get 90 Koulibaly in the WL picks, who will nicely replace the 88 IF version.
My WL pick luck for defenders has been great, can field a total back line of red picks. Alex Sandro 88 Manolas 86 Koulibauly 90 Cancelo 87. Although would trade them all for that sweet Ronaldo card.

Aren’t you just given 1 free at the start, as I’m sure I also have 4 currently and I’ve completed those 3 tasks so far. I mix my week up, play SQB, Rivals, draft and so on.
Yeah that's what I'm saying, I don't understand how these people have 5? 4 is the max so far? Until this week objectives kick in (whenever that is, tonight or tomorrow I'm assuming)
I can’t recall if it was For Feb but I actually remember as part of the weekly SQB awards you got a swap player called Moore. Maybe this is the extra swap card.
There is also a FUT swap deal for a guy called Rojas in squad builder.
I think the Rojas card is for January, might be wrong though.

Following nerfing of timed finesse Mertens isn't as lethal as he once was, so looking at adding FS Cutrone to replace him or FUTmas Gomez.. anyone used him yet? Other than that its either get the 87 Cuadrado, but he costs around 375k and I always sub him off. Perhaps save for an Icon?

How do you find 3 at the back? I loved it way back on 12 or 13 but never used it since. How do you set your CMs up? Cutrone is someone I was look at. Looks a good finisher
Right now I’ve got headliner Lala lined up or headliner Leroy Sané can’t decide on which one to get. Got a few in my transfer list watching the prices and Lala can be got for around 250-260 where Sane is going 350-390.

I had RM and LM both on Come back on defence.. so when I was defending.. it was basically 5 at the back, with the two CMs also on Stay back whilst attacking.. this was to combat the over powered timed finesse shooting as basically had 7 behind the ball trying to prevent it. The front 3 were always Stay forward so when I won the ball I could counter attack quickly or wait for the support of the RM and LM (Perisic in particular is a tank, whereas I would sub Cuadrado after 60 mins as he is knackered)
Yeah I also used to always play 352 few years ago, but using the custom tactics now you can tailor it much more effectively.
However, post patch this approach seems to be more defensive than required, so have changed the RM to Stay forward and Joao Cancelo comes across to cover him at RB. Having the extra man upfront has also seem my attack improved.
Yeah think I will take the plunge and get Cutrone for this WL and see how he is.

I reckon Perisic would be brilliant for that role yeah. The issue I have is having no fullback, people just spam a big through ball down the sides each time, it would be a nightmare surely?
I could go 352 this weekend and try Cutrone aswell. The rest would be on a budget but same idea as your team

I changed to it off the back of a 6 game losing steak in last WL and won my 8/9 games to get 19 wins.
Will buy Cutrone and use him and decide after his performance this WL.

Ok I'm sold. However I could only buy Cutrone or Bentancur. I would use Nainggolan and Bentancur in CM instead of Matuidi (in case they get in a shooting position). Or go for Cutrone and just use Matuidi and Nainggolan.

I was in the same predicament of whether getting Bentancur or Cutrone first, but decided on having an upgrade in the CM after using Nainggolan and Matuidi for over 500 games (although they are both great). Bentancur as expected is just a better version than Radja in everything except shooting (marginally) but feels like a tank, 6ft 2, 98 stamina and almost perfect passing, everything goes through him.
Probably depends on personal preference, if you are struggling offensively go Cutrone first, if conceding to many, go for Bentancur.
These 3 plus the one at the start of the month and the sbc one which was brought out the other day, there's 100% 5 as I've got all 5.
I hate that Matuidi cant do anything offensively other than pass it on, so it would be to replace him. Think ill go for Bentancur, although I would like his price to drop a bit

Just need to get Jesus now so I can sell Benatia.I’ve been playing 3412 for a few months now. When I switched to it I went from ~2400 to around 2550 in skill rating. I’ve recently tried other formations, but I’ve realized 3412 is by far the best option for me.
I posted a ‘guide’ to the formation a while ago, but the most important thing is to set the LM/RM to come back in defence, stay wide and get in behind. If you like to sit deep and counter then 352 is a better formation. 3412 is definitely better if you like to press high. I’ve got 9 in depth and it’s working very well. Fast CBs are essential.
Other than difference that 352 = CDMs and 3412 = CMs, is there any other notable differences? May look to change to 3412 in order to get my CMs further up.
Changed my team for the millionth time. Going to keep this for a while regardless of how I do. It has to work. It looks like a great team, everyone on max chem

I don't know about playing that high of a line. One big smelly hold of the Y button and someone would be in surely. I'm gonna try the 352. Cuadrado will be an issue but there is literally no one else to do the job.
Nope. I initially tried 352 and it’s very difficult to press high with it. 3412 is a lot better for me. I think the distance between the defense and attack in the 352 is too big so it’s too easy to pass around the wide mids and attackers when they’re pressing.
Yeah in regards to Cuadrado he does a serviceable job, especially with his 5* skills, do you have a better option to bring on after 50-60mins?
Not really. Through balls from the deep are hard to excecute when you’re up against three strong defenders with >80 pace. I’ve had great success with such a high line in both div rivals and the weekend league.
You could save up for TIF Cancelo

I was going to get Bentancur but I have decided not to based on how much coins I have and how Cuadrado wouldn't suit the role in a 3412/352. I absolutely love Matuidi and Radja together so not worth forking out 400+ k for Bentancur.

Cutrone is a monster and well worth the money as a last piece in the puzzle player. However the HL Zapata is also a beast up front and around 1/3rd of the cost, good pace, 6'2 and 99 strength so he doesnt get shoved around by Varane, Ramos, VVD etc. Could be a stop gap while you strengthen the rest of the team. I use him at CAM in my 4231, basically as a second striker/target man and use Cutrone as the get in behind striker to finish the chances
