Battlefield 5 release was pushed back a month and preorder 85% lower than COD. Other factors are the success of RDD2 and the fear that B5 will not be as popular as B1 was. Bearmarket atm. Fifa is not the reason.

I’m fully aware of that, but it’s still satisfying. I assume BF5 is the main reason, though FIFA which I guess is one of their biggest games hasn’t helped them lately.

Satisfying that a game"developer" who's main goal is to monetize all aspects of their games is tanking in the market? Yes.
There are some similarities between EA and our club/owners!
 
Got me Allison and Batshuayi in my player picks this morning, can't complain at that tbh... Hope this new patch drops soon so we can see if its finally fixed the game.

Goalkeepers in general with crosses and corners: Boxing the ball in strange situations and when boxing after corners they often get tangled with other players for a considerable amount of time.
Timed finishing: Should be removed.
Servers: Some matches you have delay(Time it takes from doing something with the controller to it happening on the screen.) making it very difficult to defend. And some matches there is no delay.

Goalkeepers might be fixed. What they’re saying the patch mostly revolves around is AI defending which is getting nerfed making defending more manual. Timed finishing isn’t being chanced.

As for the input delay, it’s maybe due to the servers being awful / you being too far from the nearest EA server. If not it’s either your internet or your monitor. Are you using a wired connection? Is your monitor/tv set to ‘game-mode?’. If you’re on PS4 you can connect a cable from the console to the controller and go into settings and change the comminucation method to USB instead of bluetooth.
 
They have also increased player fatigue for all players who use the Constant Pressure tactic.

A PC user posted an image on reddit showing the effect of the tactic on players with 99 fitness before the game and after and it was basically all gone:lol:

As one of those who uses this, I may have to rethink.

Hopefully they've lowered AI defending a notch and tackles constantly falling back to the attacker, it looks like they have from pitch notes but I'm curious as to how it will play out in the actual game.

Yeah I have to completely re-learn how to defend. Though I think its mainly with blocking that AI defending has been lowered and they will still tackle.
I also constant pressure the life out of people so I have had to abandon that last couple of days and I actually got promoted to Div 4 since I stopped using it, so hoping I do even better after patch.

Timed finishing should be fixed. Similar to the golden gun in Golden Eye on nintendo 64, if you hit the target(green sweet spot) you have a goal. Tired of loosing games where i have the chances, and they are not inside my penalty box even one time, but still manages to score 3 goals with 3 shots.

Wired connection. Game mode on TV etc. Might try go buying a long USB cable for the controller. Still, since it differs from match to match it is most likely server/pingtime etc to the servers. Might invest some time in learning how to block out certain IPs on PS4.
 
If AI defending gets nerfed I might actually come back to this.

Yeah I can defend manually already, but when you're playing against people that don't you're always at a disadvantage

You know how to move the goalkeeper? If you get good at it this isn't an issue at all as you can just save each shot, if you predict correctly.
 
Has this game been fixed yet? Haven't touched in about a month

Played Fifa religiously every year but its just a poor, poor game. I know they were to do a few patches so it might have changed.

Yeah I think that’s the crux of the issue. Never mind the fixing, lagging, ridiculous pressing, AI assistance ect. Underneath it all it’s just not fun to play whatsoever. That’s the hay that breaks the camels back for most people I think. If there even an ounce of fun it’d be more tolerable but it’s just hideous.

Yeah that's what got me, I was bored as hell whilst still playing it one night and realised what the feck am I doing! Just monotonously playing game after game for some random rewards that actually make no difference.
 
Did the Sturridge Flashback SBC as the card looked decent and I had quite a few untradeables in my club I could use. Packed Courtouis in one of the packs so ended up making around 50k profit doing it.

The first game I played, Sturridge scored and then 10 minutes later injured himself whilst taking a shot. Sounds about right :lol:

yeah, I've about as much fun playing this as I have watching us play.

I just want something entertaining instead of the slugfest.

Had a few games on this earlier tonight whilst waiting for the missus to get ready. Managed to get promoted to div 4 on rivals for the first time ever.
 
Had zero expectations before this weekend because my form has been terrible, but actually managed elite 2! 25-5, quite happy about that.
 
Reached 14 and stopped there with games left to play as I'm getting tired of the game now, 14 is always my target anyway. I packed IF Suarez in the TOTW tradable SBC last night, I have done about 6 of them and the rest were discards but am super pleased with Suarez. Me and my brother got so excited when we saw it was Suarez, sort of made me realize its a pretty dull life I live :D
